Abstract

PT Britmindo is a mining company that provides reliable reports and solutions for the various services required by coal mine owners. One solution done in the framework of efficiency in the field of mining is to utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) at the exploration stage. Currently PT Britmindo provides a website-based system that can be utilized for exploration and inventory activities. However, the use of sparate digital cameras and GPS handheld in the inventory takes a lot of time when adding inventory results into the system whereas website-based concession maps are less than optimal when accessed through smartphones that are easy to carry in exploration activities. From these problems, a system of coal mining inventory and exploration in Kalimantan based on Android mobile is developed by utilizing GPS and camera features on smartphone, where users can view location concession maps and make inventory through geotagging and tracking. Inventory and exploration system was developed with waterfall model. The results of this study is an Android-based mobile applications. Testing on this system using validation testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and usability testing where the results of testing validation testing and usability testing resulted in the conclusion that the system is 100% valid and very easy to use, while the results of UAT testing resulted in conclusion that the system has been in accordance with user needs.

Abstract

Economic growth is something that must be achieved by every government, to promote the welfare of the community of its territory. One step to accelerate economic growth is to build an industrial estate. Industrial area is the centraled of processing industry activities. Industrial activity will absorb labor and increase taxes for the region. The choice of location of industrial estate development must be determined precisely because it will affect the smoothness of industrial operation, public convenience, and environment preservation. To determine the exact location of the industrial estate is very difficult, because the coverage of a large area and must consider many aspects in its development. On this research to developed information system to determine the location of industrial estate in Kabupaten Mojokerto. The system utilizes spatial analysis of QuantumGIS applications, Landsat-8 satellite image data (acquired on of May 20, 2017), multi criteria evaluation method, AHP method and regulation of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia number 35 / M-IND / PER / 3/2010 on guidelines technical area of industry as guideline for determining industrial estate. The result of this research is information system of location determination of location of industry based on webGIS (Website Geography Information System). Performance testing and ROC curve testing. The results of performance testing showing excellent system performance, evidenced by the test results of all HTTP requests of all successful features. While the results of ROC curve accuracy testing showed a level of accuracy of 78%, indicating accurate accuracy. The purpose of this system is to inform the land area for the suitability of the industrial estate based on the scale of conformity (very appropriate, appropriate, less inappropriate, inappropriate).

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest country that has karst area in southeast asia, karst area is rocky arid land, besides that, this area also in exploitation for the needs of cement-making raw materials, but from these mines there will be problems such as the disappearance or changing of hydrology and landscape in karst areas. the need for a preliminary analysis of the impact of mining is very important in the early stages, the technology used to solve the problem in the karst area is still minimal, this is the background of researchers to know the hydrological changes in the karst area impact of exploitation of cement raw materials by simulating the exploitation using the tangible landscape method, this research will visualize in real-time changes in elevation, contour and hydrological results of the exploitation, from the visualization results will be used to take tactical steps for related parties. The results obtained in this study is, mining activities in the area can affect the surface hydrology and environmental topography, then the results of different analytic testing obtained suitability model of 76.5%, Tangible Landscape influenced by the cell value contained in the data and the resulting scale, 10 cm x 10 cm in size produces 3,306 cells while in size 28 cm x 28 cm produces 13.328 cell, then for User Experience testing can be concluded that, this method has a positive experience level to the user see the results of UEQ. Overall Tangible Landscape can be used to visualize environmental changes that occur and can model the environment.

Abstract

Interface quality is a great influence on usefulness of Geographic Information System (GIS) but it not yet to be important points in GIS and issues of GIS application difficult to understand by users because design of user interface than technical problems. This research is aimed at doing a comparison to applications QGIS and ArcGIS using user-centered design method. The usability testing shows from the aspect of effectiveness in every function tested are likely to be more high effectiveness on the application of QGIS in terms of the function 73% of the intersect, 73% buffer, 53% dissolve, 53% merge and 60% union while ArcGIS just high on 33% clip. On the aspect of efficiency with goals/min units, there's no function can be completed in one minutes, every task requires measures varied to achieve its goals, but the results show highest levels of efficiency on ArcGIS in terms of clip in 0,31, intersect in 0,38, dissolve in 0,90. While QGIS is higher on buffer in 0,88, merge in, and union in 0,80. The aspect of satisfaction show ArcGIS are likely to be more high satisfaction scores with 68,5 compared to QGIS with 54,5.

Abstract

Drone becomes a popular hobby among drone community lately. Because it can be flown and operated from the distance, many drone pilots use this technology in many sectors for their work. Because of that reason, the regulation about flying drone are needed.The Indonesian Goverment have been released a regulation about drone area into several categories, (i.e prohibited area, restricted area, safety flight operation zone, controlled airspace and uncontrolled airspace). However because many drone pilots have lack of information about the regulation that been released, many cases cause drone accident. As example drone get crashed into airplane, or drone get stucked on the building rooftop, and many more. With Geo Information System (GIS), offers several solutions like Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation. With this method, factors that cause a problem become criteria and parameters hierarchically, and then compose together to become a new spatial model that contains information and recommendation. For furthermore this model can be implemented on mobile application, so drone Penggunas can obtain an information from this apps. In the future this research hopefully could decrease many drone cases. From accuracy assessment, this model have 62.5% overall accuracy. This mean that 62% of the info generated from this model is in suitable with the facts in the field.

Abstract

Fire phenomenon is a familiar phenomenon in Indonesia. The high number of fire incidents in Indonesia requires special attention from the government, so that any natural disasters such as forest fires can be overcomed. Satellite monitoring results are recorded on a data file of fire points with a large enough data numbers so that the data is difficult to be processed to become information that is easily received by the user. Based on data obtained from the EOSDIS site recorded as many as 289,256 fire spots occurrence in the region of Sumatra in the timeframe between 2001 to 2014. It takes an algorithm to segment the data or cluster the data, so that large data can be processed into a good information for the user. In this study a comparative study of clustering algorithms between K-Means and Isodata was conducted. Both algorithms used in this study were assessed based on the quality of the clusters produced. The algorithm used in measuring the quality of cluster in this research is Silhouette Coefficient (SC). The final result value of Shilhouette Coefficient K-Means method is 0.999997187 and Isodata method is 0.999957161, so in this case, K-Means algorithm has a higher SC value compared to the Isodata algorithm in clustering the data of fire spots with a small SC value difference.

Abstract

Application testing is measured from the user's point of view by highlighting five aspects of testing, which are functionality, effectiveness, efficiency, reliability, usability, and cartography. In the functionality aspect, a function test is performed on each application, on the aspect of efficiency is done to obtain page speed grade in each application that is examined using Pingdom and GTMetrik tools, on the reliability aspect is monitored on each server using the Pingdom tool for 30 day, the usability aspect was evaluated using a questionnaire to find out user satisfaction in each application, and in the aspect of cartography an evaluation of the map in each application was based on cartography rules.This research aims to make a comparison between Google Maps, Here Wego, and Wisepilot applications on Android operating systems as a better alternative that should be used in searching locations on maps and navigation routes through user satisfaction testing. Applications in this test are used in the recommended navigation routes and locations in Malang which requiring several types of testing on each application. For each application is tested and evaluated by five aspects of testing using Web Quality Evaluation Method (WebQEM) method and cartography rules. The writer's analysing and make a comparison of test results that are conducted on each aspect based on the standard assessment categories in each aspect tested. The Google Maps application is superior than other three applications based on four of the five aspects tested: functionality, effectiveness, efficiency, reliability, usability.

Abstract

Malang city is one of the big cities in East Java which has experienced a fairly rapid population growth in the last seven years, as one of the big cities Malang City also has problems that are generally owned by other big cities, such as crimes. Malang City is one of the cities in East Java which has a high number of criminal cases with a lot of criminal cases occurring around the highway. One of the solutions that can be done to reduce criminal cases on the highway is to provide information about which areas that are vulnerable and which areas are safe to pass based on previous criminal data. Path searching is one of the ways to present that information. One of the path search algorithm that can be applied is the Bellman-Ford algorithm. From previous studies this algorithm was declared to be inefficient for large amounts of data but quite versatile and this algorithm can calculate negative weights and repeatedly check paths so that no path is missed. This research was conducted to create an information system that can provide safe path information also apply the Bellman-Ford algorithm and see the efficiency of the Bellman-Ford algorithm if applied to cases of searching for safe routes from criminal incidents in Malang City. From this study the results that obtained is the safe path information system that runs well and can be opened on multi platforms and also the complexity analysis results which is the efficiency of the Bellman-Ford algorithm, where in terms of time, the Bellman-Ford algorithm is less efficient because based on the analysis results, the order of growth of the time complexity is so the Bellman-Ford algorithm execution time increases quadratically, but in terms of space, Bellman-Ford is quite efficient because based on the results of the analysis, order of growth from its space complexity is n which means that the use of space increases linearly.

Abstract

Kejaksaan Negeri Lamongan is one of national institute that has authority in law maintenance and justice in Lamongan. One of the aspect to do according to Constitution No.14 2008 about Public Information Openness, that each national institute hast to be able to manage public information to make an easy access for citizen. One of effort that did by Kejaksaan Negeri Lamongan to manifest it is by giving information about the development community dynamist through intelligence data visualization map. To applicate it, there are some obstacle to faced such as history of data that is not well documented, data that is still static, the renewal process that is only done once a year, information that is difficult for the public to access and the inefficient time in managing and visualizing data. Therefore, geographic information system that can manage data and provide data storage is needed. So, it is expected to facilitate and provide the efficiency for Intelligence Section of Kejaksaan Negeri Lamongan to visualizing the data. System development is done by conducting data collection, problem identification, needs analysis, business process modeling, design, implementation and testing. From requirement analysis stage there are 14 functional requirements and a non-functional requirement. The results of system testing indicate that the system has fulfilled user needs, the system is compatible with multiple browsers, it has good performance, and it is easy to use, also system development has a significant effect on the efficiency of the Kejaksaan Negeri Lamongan intelligence's performance by 94%

Abstract

The purpose of building a GIS-based road lighting monitoring dashboard prototype is to provide solutions to problems of limitations and ease in obtaining information about public street lighting and knowing whether this GIS-based public street lighting monitoring dashboard can complete and facilitate the implementation of street lighting maintenance activities carried out by the Public Service Agency of Bina Marga Malang Regency, which currently all information is still obtained manually. From the solutions provided, the development of GIS-based operational dashboard is carried out using the high-fidelity prototype method. Which results in a prototype of operational dashboard with regard to user needs. The operational street lighting monitoring dashboard can assist the service agency in carrying out monitoring and maintenance by reducing the time needed to carry out maintenance activities from 4 days to only 1 or 2 days, namely by providing information regarding public street lighting, namely the status of lights and the location of lights inside digital map form in real-time, but there is no simulation using sensors but manual Realtime simulations have been carried out using other devices instead of sensors. Prototypes that have been developed can improve the maintenance performance of street lighting by 70% because the research hypothesis has proven to have a significant effect on public road maintenance activities with a 30% significance level that is sufficiently accurate in this study.
