Abstract

The conservation forest area of Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park, Riau Province an area of 6,172 hectares in the administrative area of Siak Regency, Kampar Regency, and Pekanbaru City. The views (perceptions) of the people that live around this forest area, can provide benefits for economic and social improvement. On the other hand, it cannot be ruled out that the existence of people who have already lived and worked in this forest area have a perception that the area that they control is a place of survival and death. This condition has caused 79% of the total area of this forest to be degraded and converted into oil palm plantations, settlements, social facilities, public facilities, and community business facilities. This research method applies a naturalistic paradigm - qualitative approach design. The data collection technique is through interviews, observation, and documentation study. The data analysis techniques is descriptive with the formal and informal results of the study. The implementation of collaborative management is analyzed from four elements of collaboration, namely; institutional procedures and agreements, leadership, knowledge and resources. The research result shows that the implementation of collaborative management in the conservation forest area of Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park, Riau Province is running optimally on the elements of procedures and institutional agreements, leadership, knowledge and resources. Abstract

Understanding the philosophical assumptions in social research, whether “positivist” or “interpretive,” is crucial as these foundations shape the way researchers approach, design, and conduct their studies, impacting every aspect from the selection of research design to the interpretation of findings. This community service activity (PKM) focused on enhancing young researchers' understanding of “positivist social science” (PSS) assumptions in selecting quantitative research designs at PTN XYZ, a public university in Riau Province. Discussions with a faculty leader revealed difficulties in publishing quantitative research in reputable international journals, primarily due to a lack of understanding of these philosophical assumptions. To address this, the PKM team organized online training for 18 researchers, covering key topics such as the philosophical foundations of science, PSS approaches in social science, reasons for the acceptance or rejection of research reports by the scientific community, and the research process in quantitative design. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated using a pretest-posttest approach, with initial findings showing only 5% of participants correctly understood the reasons for using a quantitative design. However, post-training results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, ensuring the research contributes meaningfully and relevantly to the field. Abstract

Knowledge-hiding (KH) behavior is of particular concern in organizational and management studies because it can reduce the flow of knowledge and information in organizations. Thus, mechanisms that can minimize this behavior need to be identified, especially from an Islamic perspective. This study seeks to explain how Islamic work ethics may decrease or thwart employees from performing KH. In particular, the current study tries to explain the dual mediation mechanism that underlies this relationship, namely organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and organizational commitment (OC). In order to verify the hypotheses, this study collected data from employees who work at Islamic banks in Pekanbaru City, Riau, Indonesia. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis was employed to verify the hypotheses proposed in the current study. This study revealed that Islamic work ethics can potentially limit or thwart workers from successfully performing their KH. Furthermore, this study found that organizational commitment and OCB mediate the mechanisms underlying the relationship.

Specifically, this study uses the Work Family Balance mechanism/balance between family and work at work as the psychological mechanism that underlies the relationship between the two variables. By involving 71 respondents who worked as health workers. Sinembah Chart and using SEM-PLS analysis, in which this study found that perceived leadership social support had a positive and significant effect on Work Family Balance, while perceived family social support had a positive and significant effect on Work Family Balance. Furthermore, this study found that Work Family Balance / family and work balance at work mediates the relationship between perceived social support and job satisfaction of Health Workers in Kec. Bagan Sinembah. The managerial implications felt by employees in this study are that social support from leaders can increase job satisfaction, through Work Family Balance, and family social support for Work Family Balance, so as to create Job Satisfaction for Health Workers at the Kec. Bagan Sinembah. Furthermore, this study found that work-family balance at work mediates the relationship between perceived social support and job satisfaction of health workers at the Puskesmas Kec. Abstract

Selecting research topics is a crucial step in scientific inquiry, especially for producing impactful studies. This community service program aimed to enhance researchers' understanding of five key criteria: relevance to grand challenges, contributions to academic discussions, engagement with the scientific community, broad scope, and practical value. Conducted at a state university (ABC University [anonymous]) in the Riau Islands, the workshop involved 11 priority researchers. Pretest and posttest evaluations showed significant improvement in participants’ understanding. This program highlights the importance of targeted training in helping researchers address editorial challenges and achieve higher acceptance rates in reputable journals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of teacher voice propionality and Islamic work ethics on teacher performance with organizational commitment. The location of this research was carried out in three Madrasyah Aliyah (MA) schools in the Tembilahan area, namely M.A Sabilal Muhtadin, M.A Pondok Pesatren Tunas Harapan (PPTH), M.A Nurul Jihad, M.A Miftahul Huda, M.A Jami'atul Islamiyah and M.A Negeri Tembilahan. The population in this study is all Madrasyah Aliyah (MA) teachers in the Tembilahan area, namely M.A Sabilal Muhtadin, M.A Pondok Pesatren Tunas Harapan (PPTH), M.A Nurul Jihad, M.A Miftahul Huda, M.A Jami'atul Islamiyah and M.A Negeri Tembilahan which totals 200 people. The sampling method used in this study is a saturated sample or census with the entire population as a sample. So the sample in this study is 200 Madrasyah Aliyah (MA) teachers in the Tembilahan area, namely M.A Sabilal Muhtadin, M.A Pondok Pesatren Tunas Harapan (PPTH), M.A Nurul Jihad, M.A Miftahul Huda, M.A Jami'atul Islamiyah and M.A Negeri Tembilahan. The data analysis technique in this study uses the equation Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) SEM-PLS with Smart PLS Software. The PLS-SEM Outer Model analysis consists of Convergent Validity Test, Discrimination Validity Test, and Composite Reliability, while the Inner Mode consists of R-Square, and Goodness of Fit, then Path Analysis, and Hypothesis Test. The result of this study is that the teacher's proportional "VOICE" behavior and Islamic work ethic do not have a significant direct influence on teacher performance. Both have a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Meanwhile, the proportional "VOICE" behavior of teachers and Islamic work ethic also indirectly has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance through increasing organizational commitment.

Abstract

This research is also motivated by a research gap in previous studies, where many discuss leadership styles broadly, but there is still minimal research in Indonesian that explores the relationship between humble leadership and OCB, with trust in leaders as a mediating variable. The research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a causal research design with a population of state civil servants at the Siak Regency DPRD Secretariat with a population of 150 people and a sample using the census method. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and distribution using google forms. The data analysis tool in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) processed using SmartPLS 32.9 for data processing. From the findings of this study, it was found that humble leadership has a positive and insignificant effect on organizational citizenship behavior (hypothesis 1 is rejected), humble leadership has a positive and significant effect on trust in leaders (hypothesis 2 is accepted), trust in leaders is positive and significant on organizational citizenship behavior (hypothesis 3 is accepted) and humble leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior through trust in leaders (hypothesis 4 is accepted).
