Abstract

This qualitative research examines the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering the character of students in class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Mengkendek Tana Toraja, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The study involved 7 students, PAI teachers, and the principal. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The results show that the teacher's strategy, which includes discipline, habituation, and exemplary, is effective in character building. Family and extracurricular support play an important role, but lack of family attention and students' bad habits become obstacles. School, family and community collaboration is crucial to create a conducive environment for more optimal character development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji usaha guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membina akhlak serta efektifitas pembinaan akhlak siswa di MAN Gowa Kelurahan Malakaji Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, berupaya mengungkapkan kajian tentang usaha guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membina akhlak serta efektifitas pembinaan akhlak yang ditemukan dilapangan. Informasi diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan usaha pembinaan akhlak siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Gowa.Peran guru Agama Islam dalam membina akhlak siswa sudah berperan aktif di sekolah tersebut hal ini terlihat dalam usahanya melalui kegiatan intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Kegiatan intrakurikuler ini di laksanakan dalam jam pembelajaran dengan membiasakan siswa mengucapkan salam dan salim dan membaca doa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran sedangkan ekstrakurikuler di laksanakan diluar jam pelajaran yaitu shalat dhuhur secara berjama’ah, dan melaksanakan kultum sesudah shalat dhuhur. Adapun efektifitas pelaksanaan pembinaan dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler ini memperlihatkan bahwa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Gowa telah melaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya yang tercermin dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Sepsis is still an important health problem in the world today. The incidence of sepsis can reach 750,000 cases per year. When mothers have a vital role in family health, their lack of knowledge and concern about sepsis remains an obstacle. Therefore, we need a program to promote and prevent sepsis among mothers in West Medan District as an effort to reduce the number of sepsis in Indonesia. Coaching, training, and counseling are given to PKK mothers and Posyandu cadres regarding the prevention of severe infections that can cause sepsis. This activity began by collecting basic data using the Sepsis Knowledge Scale questionnaire and then provided counseling and training on sepsis. Then, the final results were assessed with a behavioral questionnaire and sepsis knowledge questionnaire. The activity was attended by 29 people, 20 women (72.4%) and 9 men (27.6%). No significant changes were found in the level of knowledge and behavior before and after the activity (Z-score: 0.001; p = 1,000).

Abstract

Febrile seizures are common neurological disorders in pediatric patients and usually affect children between 6 months and five years, peaking in 14 to 18 months. Mothers have a vital role in ensuring their family’s well-being. However, they often cannot contribute significantly to febrile seizure prevention and treatment at home due to the lack of knowledge and awareness. Therefore, we need to provide a promotive and preventive program for febrile seizures to the mothers at Medan Barat District, Medan, Sumatera Utara. This activity aims to reduce the incidence of febrile seizures in Indonesia. We delivered the program in several stages, from basic data collection, lectures, febrile seizure prevention, early management at-home training, evaluation, and guidebook handover. Twenty-nine people attended this program, twenty women (72.4%) and nine men (27.6%). No significant change was found in the level of knowledge and behavior before and after the activity (Z-score: 0,001; p= 1,000).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of students and teachers in developing a learning media in the form of a trainer to support the sensor and transducer practicum process during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed online to 75 respondents, including productive electronic engineering and electrical engineering teachers at SMK Negeri 2 and SMK Negeri 10 Makassar and their students. In addition, there were also respondents from electronic engineering students at the two schools. This study indicates that facilities and infrastructure in schools are in the high category with a percentage of 64%. Learning conditions during the Covid-19 Pandemic based on data from respondents are in the medium category with a percentage of 67%. The level of need for IoT-based sensor trainer learning media to support distance learning at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar and SMK Negeri 10 Makassar is in the high category with a percentage of 72%. Based on this value, it can be concluded that practicum facilities are needed in the form of IoT-based sensors and transducer trainers that can be used as alternative learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is hoped that the teachers can adjust learning tools according to pandemic conditions so that the implementation of the learning process can run smoothly.

Abstract

Takaful participation in Makassar remains low despite its role as a regional center for Islamic finance, indicating a gap between institutional development and societal acceptance. Existing studies have not fully explained how maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah values intersect with local socio-cultural structures or how social, cognitive, and legal factors shape participation. This study addresses these gaps by examining these dynamics and proposing a culturally grounded reconstruction model. Using a qualitative sociological-juridical approach, data were collected from 22 informants, including takaful agents, religious scholars, regulators, and policyholders, through semi-structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. Analysis followed the Miles Huberman Saldaña interactive model with triangulation to ensure validity. We employed a maqāṣid-based hermeneutical lens to interpret values such as ḥifẓ al-māl and ḥifẓ al-nafs, as well as taʿāwun, alongside the local cultural ethos of siri’ na pacce. Findings indicate that low participation is not due to resistance to Islamic principles, but rather to a misalignment between formal takaful mechanisms and community-based solidarity norms. The study introduces the Maqāṣid Cultural Embeddedness Model, integrating value reframing, institutional collaboration with religious leaders, and community-oriented micro-takaful design. This model provides conceptual and practical guidance for aligning takaful systems with maqāṣid objectives and the socio-cultural realities of Makassar.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan sistem presensi kehadiran berbasis face recognition sebagai upaya optimalisasi absensi digital di lingkungan pendidikan. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 10 Makassar dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, penyebaran kuesioner kepada guru dan staf tata usaha, serta wawancara mendalam dengan pihak sekolah. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem manual memakan waktu lama, rentan terhadap kecurangan seperti “titip absen,” serta adanya kesulitan rekapitulasi data kehadiran. Hasil kuesioner dengan rata-rata skor 4,26 menunjukkan tingkat dukungan yang tinggi terhadap penerapan sistem presensi digital. Responden menilai bahwa efisiensi waktu dan kecepatan akses laporan kehadiran merupakan sebuah kebutuhan. Wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan staf tata usaha memperkuat temuan bahwa sistem presensi berbasis face recognition diharapkan mampu meningkatkan akurasi data, mempercepat pelaporan, serta memperkuat transparansi dan kedisiplinan siswa. Namun demikian, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi tantangan berupa kebutuhan infrastruktur, kesiapan pengguna, dan perlindungan data biometrik. Analisis kebutuhan sistem yang dihasilkan mencakup aspek fungsional, seperti pencatatan kehadiran otomatis, integrasi database, dan pelaporan real-time, serta aspek non-fungsional, seperti keamanan, kecepatan, dan reliabilitas sistem. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi dasar penting bagi pengembangan sistem presensi berbasis face recognition yang sesuai dengan konteks sekolah menengah kejuruan di Indonesia. Adapun keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaannya hanya dilakukan pada satu sekolah, sehingga hasilnya belum dapat digeneralisasikan secara luas ke seluruh satuan pendidikan. Abstract

The household electronic appliance maintenance and repair training for the Lempangang Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) aims to improve the technical skills of the community, particularly young people, in identifying and repairing damage to household electronic appliances. Through this training, participants gained knowledge and practical skills in using measuring tools such as multimeters, replacing damaged components, and performing preventative maintenance on irons. The training results showed a significant improvement in participants' skills, as evidenced by a 9.04% increase in pre- and post-test scores. In the pre-test, participants' average scores were around 60%-70%, indicating sufficient basic understanding, but with some areas for improvement. After the training, participants' post-test scores increased to 80%-90%, reflecting a clear improvement in their ability to independently repair electric irons. Furthermore, this training opened new business opportunities in the field of electronic appliance repair services, had a positive impact on local economic empowerment, and reduced electronic waste by extending the lifespan of existing appliances. The program also raised awareness about the importance of maintaining electronic appliances in the household. As a suggestion, expanding training materials and using digital technology to support further learning can increase the impact of this training, as well as expanding community participation through partnerships with various parties.

Abstract

Stroke is a clinical sign that occurs quickly or suddenly in the form of a focal or global deficit in brain function, with symptoms lasting 24 hours or more or causing death, with no clear cause other than vascular causes. Stroke is classified into two, namely ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. One of the risk factors for stroke is dyslipidemia which can cause the presence of atherosclerotic plaque resulting in blockage of blood vessels in the brain, characterized by changes in the lipid profile, an increase in total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and a decrease in HDL. This study aims to determine the lipid profile of patients with ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke at Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh for the period January 2022-December 2022. This research method is quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this research used a total sampling technique. The results of this study showed that there were 183 ischemic stroke patients and 42 hemorrhagic stroke patients. The majority of stroke patients are male and the majority are aged 55-64 years. The lipid profile of ischemic stroke sufferers has desirable total cholesterol levels, low HDL, near optimal LDL, and normal triglycerides. The majority of hemorrhagic stroke patients have desirable total cholesterol levels, low HDL, slightly high LDL, and normal triglycerides. The conclusion of this study is that sufferers of ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke experience a decrease in HDL levels and an increase in LDL levels

Abstract

This study examines how a semi-pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) educational model shapes Qur’anic literacy among inmates at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Bitung, Indonesia. While studies on prison religious education are growing, limited research explains how Qur’anic literacy is developed pedagogically in correctional settings and how it relates to rehabilitation in practice. Using qualitative field research with a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. In this study, Qur’anic literacy refers to foundational competencies in recognizing hija’iyyah letters, reading Qur’anic text, and participating in guided religious learning. The findings show that the semi-pesantren model combines tafriq and taushil methods for letter recognition and reading development with structured learning in taḥfīẓ, fiqh, ‘aqidah, Islamic history, and basic Arabic. This integrated model supports the gradual development of Qur’anic reading and writing skills while also encouraging religious discipline, moral reflection, and constructive behavioral change within the prison environment. The article’s theoretical contribution lies in proposing a context-based framework that links Qur’anic literacy formation to faith-based rehabilitation through an adaptive semi-pesantren model in correctional institutions.
