Abstract

The development of globalization has a significant impact on changes in various aspects of the lives of Indonesian people today and even throughout the world. One of the effects of globalization is that it provides convenience in accessing all information in the world, both about culture, education, politics and others. Therefore, in following up on the collaboration between the University of Pamulang (UNPAM) and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), which is followed by the collaboration of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the PPKn Study Program will hold a web seminar (webar) on culture, educational policies and the democratic system that growing in Indonesia and the Philippines. This activity is carried out in a video conference platform (webinar). This international community service (PKM) aims to: a) Increase knowledge about Cultural Diversity in Indonesia and the Philippines; b) Improve the ability to understand about Cultural Diversity in Indonesia and the Philippines; c) Raising awareness of the importance of understanding medium-sized Cultural Diversity in Indonesia and the Philippines; d) Instilling concern for Cultural Diversity in Indonesia and the Philippines; e) Improve the ability to implement understanding of Cultural Diversity in their respective environments; f) Instilling awareness about the Cultural Diversity learning model in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Abstract

Animal pregnancy testing is one of the techniques/tools used to detect animal pregnancy. This livestock pregnancy test kit can identify early pregnancy in beef cattle, which is useful for farmers to take appropriate actions in reproductive management and cattle care. The objectives of this activity are: 1. to improve farmers' knowledge of early pregnancy detection and the cattle reproduction process to increase the birth rate of calves, 2. to enhance farmers' skills in early pregnancy detection in cattle to improve efficiency in farm operations, and 3. to disseminate early cattle pregnancy technology using pregnancy test kits to farmer groups within the campus community in Padang City. This activity was conducted in a cattle group within the campus community located in Pauh Subdistrict, Padang City. The methods of this activity included counseling, training/demonstration, and evaluation. Participants in this activity were the Taruko Sakato Farmer Group, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Andalas University. The results of this activity were that participants understood the principles of the test kit, collected necessary urine samples, and improved their skills and understanding in independently and accurately detecting animal pregnancy. The application of this cattle pregnancy test kit technology is expected to assist farmers in enhancing productivity and efficiency in cattle reproductive and production management, thereby positively impacting farmers and local food security. In conclusion, this activity provided knowledge, understanding, and practical skills to farmer groups/partners in adopting innovative technology for improving their livestock farming outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah menentukan dan menguraikan bentuk rumpon mulai dari bahan penyusun dan tahapan serta cara membuat rumpon sampai dengan penempatan rumpon ke daerah penangkapan ikan pelagis besar nelayan Pulau Buaya, Distrik Sorong Kepulauan, Kota Sorong, Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. Tahapan dan prosedur  pembuatan rumpon meliputi mempersiapkan alat dan bahan, pemilihan lokasi, menancapkan tiang pancang, merakit atau menyusun rumpon, membuat rumah di atas rumpon, dan menempatkan rumpon di lokasi penangkapan ikan. Tipe rumpon yang dibuat adalah rumpon permukaan berbentuk empat persegi panjang dengan ukuran 6 x 3 meter (panjang 6 meter dan lebar 3 meter). Bahan utama untuk pembuatan rumpon adalah bambu, gabus dan tali. Bambu yang digunakan memiliki tekstur kulit yang kuat dan keras dan ukuran diameter serta panjangnya harus seragam serta bambu yang digunakan tidak terlalu muda dan tua. Gabus yang digunakan memiliki ukuran panjang dan lebar serta tebal yang seragam serta mempunyai tekstur bahan yang keras dan padat. Tali yang digunakan dengan bahan polypropylene serta memiliki diameter yang seragam atau tidak terlalu besar dan kecil serta harus kuat dan tahan terutama dari rendaman air laut.  Lokasi pembuatan rumpon berada di pantai yang masih mendapat pengaruh pasang surut air laut dengan jarak pasang tertinggi dengan surut terendah sekitar 9 – 10 m. Tiang pancang terdiri dari 6 tiang yang ditancapkan dipasir secara vertikal dari arah darat sampai ke arah laut. Lokasi penempatan rumpon berjarak sekitar 5-10 mil laut arah laut Samudera Pasifik sejajar Distrik Saosapor, Kabupaten Tambrauw.

Abstract

Companies in carrying out their business activities need to pay attention to internal and external aspects. Leadership is one of the internal aspects that affect the behavior of a company in carrying out business activities. Performance or performance is the result of work that can be achieved by a person or group of people in the organization, in accordance with their respective authorities and responsibilities. Quality of work is a result that can be measured by the effectiveness and efficiency of a job done by human resources or other resources in achieving the goals or objectives of the company well and efficiently. This shows that the leadership process is the main indicator in improving the quality of work of the employees themselves. The problem is that there is still a lack of harmony between superiors and subordinates and the lack of leadership styles in several companies, causing the performance or quality of work of employees to be disrupted and have a direct impact on the company. Based on this background, the research title "Analysis of the Influence of Leadership on the Quality of Work of PT. Mayora Bank.The results of the simple linear regression analysis of the correlation/relationship (R) summary model are 0.876. From the output, the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.767, which means that the influence of the independent variable (Leadership) on the dependent variable (Quality of Work of Employees) is 76.7% and the results of the T test show that the significance for the effect of X on Y is 0.000 0.05 and the t value is 10.581 t, so it can be seen that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, H1 is accepted and H2 is rejected. The conclusion of these results proves that there is a large influence and has a close relationship between leadership factors on the quality of work of employees of PT. Virtualization technology has developed rapidly with alternative information technology services. Virtualization uses available hardware resources more efficiently, providing a more flexible and cost-effective running Cloud Computing platform. Ubuntu Server 22.04.4 LTS provides a reliable and stable platform for running several server services, including Nextcloud. Nextcloud is a popular Cloud application that supports many features ranging from file storage, document collaboration, calendaring, and many other functions that can be accessed through a web interface and is available for free. Meanwhile, business actors who are part of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) are currently also growing after the pandemic. MSME business actors use information technology devices for various purposes to support their business activities, one of which is by using Cloud Computing services. By explaining the implementation steps for building a Nextcloud server virtualization machine as a service on a LAN (Local Area Network), it is hoped that this will be a solution to overcome problems that occur related to the need for cheap information technology and reliable data file management.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding and attitudes toward the concept of One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The background of this research is the low level of students' understanding of the Church concept due to conventional teaching methods that are less engaging and do not provide direct learning experiences. This study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles at SDN 16 Sanjan Emberas. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, tests, and reflective journals. The findings indicate that implementing the PBL model increased students' average scores from 55 in the first cycle to 83 in the second cycle. Additionally, students became more active in discussions, were able to relate the Church concept to daily life, and demonstrated positive attitudes such as cooperation and involvement in the Church community. Supporting factors for the successful implementation of PBL include students' enthusiasm, teacher and school support, and adequate learning resources. Challenges encountered include time constraints and varying levels of student understanding. This study concludes that the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' comprehension and attitudes toward the Church concept, making it a viable alternative teaching strategy for Catholic Religious Education.

Abstract

The administrative system implemented at the Tangerang City PMI Headquarters is still semi-computerized, causing several issues such as inconsistent document formats, higher risk of recording errors, longer processing times, and excessive paper use. Additionally, delays in determining the leader’s availability often hinder the disposition and signing process, resulting in postponed activities. To address these problems, a Web-Based Administrative Management Information System was developed, named “Si-Markot”. This system aims to improve the efficiency of managing incoming and outgoing correspondence through digital archiving, electronic disposition, and digital signature features for leaders. Si-Markot functions as a structured digital repository that enables quick document searches and real-time tracking. The research methodology includes observation and literature study, with system development based on the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. System modeling was conducted using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implemented with PHP programming language and phpMyAdmin as the database. The system was tested using the Black Box Testing method. The results of this study produced a web-based administrative management application specifically designed for managing correspondence at the Tangerang City PMI Headquarters, improving efficiency, reducing paper usage, and accelerating document disposition and processing.

Abstract

This study examines the symbolic meanings in the Dhammapada text through a simple semantic approach. Many Buddhists understand the Dhammapada only literally, without exploring the deeper symbolic meanings intended to transform character and behavior. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing ten selected verses from the Dhammapada, comparing their literal meanings (denotative) with symbolic meanings (connotative). The findings show that each verse in the Dhammapada contains moral wisdom that can be applied in daily life. For example, the metaphor of light represents wisdom, darkness represents ignorance, and the middle path represents balance in life. These findings have practical implications for Buddhist character education, where understanding symbolic meanings helps students internalize moral values more deeply than merely memorizing texts.

Abstract

Kasus kekerasan seksual saat ini sedang mengalami peningkatan pesat. Kekerasan seksual ini kerap kali menimbulkan korban yang dianggap sebagai oknum-oknum yang lemah seperti perempuan dan anak–anak yang masih di bawah umur.  Hadirnya kekerasan seksual ini tentunya menjadi sebuah permasalahan yang cukup besar yang mana hal ini akan menimbulkan dampak yang negatif kepada korban. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan penguatan upaya pencegahan serta penanganan kekerasan seksual di lingkungan remaja dan sekolah. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Aksi dilaksanakan dengan model ceramah, diskusi dan disertai game. Adapun materi yang disampaikan oleh kami berisikan tentang materi pengertian kekerasan seksual, pentingnya edukasi seksual, bentuk-bentuk dari kekerasan seksual, macam-macam kekerasan seksual, dampak dari kekerasan seksual dan hukum yang mengatur & melindungi korban tindak pidana dalam kekerasan seksual.  Kasus kekerasan seksual terjadi peningkatan dari tahun ke tahun dan remaja menjadi kelompok rentan yang menjadi korban. kasus pelecehan seksual ini bisa terjadi karena adanya pemain kekuasaan (Quid Pro Quo). Penting untuk pihak sekolah membuat kebijakan untuk mencegah dan menangani kekerasan seksual.  Para remaja juga mesti tahu apa yang dilakukan ketika mendapat kekerasan seksual. Selain itu perlu membuat gerakan upaya apa saja yang bisa mereka lakukan untuk melawan kasus kekerasan di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil kegiatan ini memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, afektif dan psikomotor terkait pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan seksual. Kata Kunci    : edukasi, pencegahan, kekerasan seksual, remaja
