Abstract

Olahraga merupakan aktivitas penting untuk mendukung kesehatan fisik dan mental. Individu yang rutin berolahraga memiliki kondisi tubuh lebih prima dibandingkan mereka yang jarang melakukannya. Tren olahraga di rumah meningkat seiring perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial. Sayangnya, persiapan seperti pemanasan sering diabaikan, padahal pemanasan yang benar dapat meningkatkan suhu tubuh, elastisitas otot, dan sirkulasi darah, sehingga mengurangi risiko cedera otot. Salah satu cedera serius adalah whiplash injury, yang disebabkan oleh pergerakan kepala tiba-tiba atau postur tubuh tidak ideal, terutama pada individu dengan IMT >25 kg/m² (obesitas). Penelitian ini merancang wearable device berupa topi berbasis sensor MPU6050 untuk membantu pemanasan kepala yang benar. Data akselerometer dan giroskop dianalisis menggunakan metode Random Forest. Sistem memberikan umpan balik berupa notifikasi buzzer untuk memastikan gerakan pemanasan dilakukan dengan benar. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan akurasi model sebesar 100% pada pelatihan, dengan rata-rata waktu komputasi yang baik yaitu 0,0033458 detik. Sistem ini mampu membantu individu obesitas melakukan pemanasan kepala dengan tepat, sehingga risiko cedera dapat diminimalkan.

Abstract

Authentication is generally required on systems which need safety and privacy. In common, typed username and password are used and applied in authentication system. However, this type of authentication has been identified to have many weaknesses. In order to overcome the problem, many proposed authentication system based on voice as unique characteristics of human. We implement Dynamic Time Warping algorithm to compare human voice with reference voice as the authentication process. The testing results show that the system accuracy of the speech recognition average is 86.785%.

Abstract

Smart home refers to the use of computers and information technology to control home appliances. The smart home system occupies sensors to acquire data for monitoring. One of the most important factors in designing a smart home system was the communication between devices that will be used. It requires high throughput and low latency communication so that monitoring can be done in real time and lossless. The communication network was designed to optimize the stream monitoring for smart home by reviewing the system throughput and latency. Lab-VIEW programming on My-RIO embedded systems was used to acquire accelerometer and voice data readings and send them to personal computer wirelessly. The network communication was designed by implementing network stream protocols between two applications which were planted in the personal computer and My-RIO system. The test results indicate that the network stream protocol did not require normalization of sensor data types while transmitting and receiving. The throughput values were affected by increasing buffer size but on certain conditions saturated throughput were experienced. The value of the latency is always stable with an average value of 13 ms even though the size of the buffer is enlarged.

Abstract

Determining the quality of soil is an important task to perform especially on newly opened agricultural land since it may provide significant impact on the growth of plants. One alternative to determine physical soil quality is by visually observe the color of the soil and measure its moisture. This paper designed an embedded system classify soil condition for plants according to the dimensionality reduction of color and moisture information from the soil using k-NN algorithm. The dimension of attribute information was reduced using correlation analysis to achieve lower computational time and lower memory usage on embedded system. In this study, 39 sample of soil from various location were collected and categorized by soil expert using visual observation. In the accuracy testing on the system that used 4 attributes, 100% accuracy was given by 60:40 ratio with 7 neighbors. In contrast, the system that used only 2 attributes, 100% accuracy was given by 60:40 ratio with 5 nearest neighbors. The resource usage testing shown that by using reduced attributes dimension, the resource usage can be lowered as many as 188 bytes on program storage and 192 bytes on global variable usage. Moreover, the average of computation time performed by the system using reduced attribute dimension achieved 5.4 ms compared to the system that used all attributes which achieved 6.2 ms.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini menguji variansi nilai pembacaan sensor MPU6050 di 5 titik penempatan terhadap gerakan dumbbell overhead triceps extension menggunakan 3 buah modul sensor. Sampel data pembacaan sensor di 5 titik penempatan tersebut kemudian disalin untuk dikombinasikan menjadi kelompok sampel 3 sensor dan 2 sensor sehingga total sampel data berjumlah 25 sampel yang masing-masing mewakili sebagai sampel nilai pembacaan di 25 formasi penempatan 1 sampai 3 sensor. Variansi pembacaan di setiap formasi penempatan sensor akan diteliti menggunakan F-Test. Pengujian F-Test tersebut akan menghasilkan nilai F yang menunjukkan rentang variansi kelompok nilai data antar-baris pembacaannya yang mengindikasikan nilai resolusi dan presisi pembacaan gerakan oleh sensor. Berdasarkan pengujian telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini, penambahan jumlah sensor dalam menambah dimensi pengenalan pola dalam machine learning meningkatkan variansi data pembacaan sensor sebesar 16%-30%. Sedangkan, pemilihan formasi penempatan optimal modul sensor MPU6050 dapat meningkatkan variansi data pembacaan sensor hingga 68%. Variansi nilai pembacaan tersebut didapatkan pada penempatan satu modul saja di pergelangan tangan bagian luar dengan nilai F sebesar 1.131361 yang bernilai lebih besar 2 kali lipat lebih dibandingkan dengan rata-rata nilai F dari seluruh formasi pengujian yang bernilai 0.433905316.

Abstract

Catfish (Clarias batrachus) is a widely consumed food source in Indonesia, making its cultivation an essential aspect of the aquaculture industry. During the cultivation phase, catfish seeds, typically ranging from 2 to 10 cm in length, are sorted by size and counted. Conventional methods employed by seed sellers, including manual hand-counting, measuring cups, and weighing scales, are often labor-intensive and prone to inaccuracies. To enhance efficiency and reduce counting errors, this study proposes an automated catfish seed counting system. The system is designed to rapidly and accurately classify catfish seeds into three size-based categories while simultaneously counting them. A Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) is implemented to ensure concurrent processing, enabling the detection of seeds passing through three independent sensor lines. The proposed system utilizes three infrared sensors for seed detection, an LCD for real-time result display, and an RTOS deployed on an Arduino Uno platform. RTOS executes four tasks: three sensor reading tasks corresponding to each detection line and an idle task for displaying results. Experimental validation, conducted using 40 catfish seeds across 15 trials, demonstrates the system’s effectiveness, achieving an average counting accuracy of 97%. These findings indicate the potential of the proposed system to improve the precision and efficiency of catfish seed counting in aquaculture operations.

Abstract

Shrimp cultivation in Indonesia has been increasing since the introduction of white leg shrimp or often known as vaname (Penaeus vannamei) from the South Pacific waters. The use of a cultivation model with a circular pond with a diameter of 10 meters has begun to attract shrimp farmers in the northern coastal areas of Java, including Tuban Regency. There are several water quality parameters that affects survival rate such as Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Temperature, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Shrimp pond farmers in Tuban Regency have used digital measuring tools to monitor the environmental conditions. However, these measurements cannot be carried out continuously for 24 hours. This often causes delays in identifying problems that occur in ponds and eventually impacts on reducing biomass weight, resulting in not achieving harvest targets. In this study, a continuous monitoring system for water quality management was designed and implemented. The system consists of an IoT-based water quality monitoring device combined with a Shrimp Aquaculture Management Information System. Based on the system that has been built, it is found that the system has been able to acquire all sensor parameters and send them to the server. The results of calibration and prediction using linear regression show that the average data reading error is achieving 14% for DO sensors, and 1% each for temperature and TDS sensors. The aggregated data is presented in tabular and graphic formats so that daily monitoring and predictions can be carried out in ponds.

Abstract

Perangkat wearable berperan penting dalam memantau aktivitas fisik, namun perangkat komersial seperti smartwatch sering mengalami akurasi rendah akibat lokasi pemasangan yang tidak ideal. Penelitian ini mengembangkan perangkat wearable berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 untuk memantau jarak tempuh, kecepatan, dan jumlah langkah dengan akurasi tinggi serta manajemen sistem yang efisien. Perangkat menggunakan sensor MPU6050 untuk mendeteksi langkah dan modul GPS GY-NEO-6M V2 untuk mengukur jarak dan kecepatan. Sistem dikendalikan oleh algoritma Finite State Machine (FSM) untuk pengaturan mode kerja (Idle, Tracking, Paused) dan Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) untuk multitasking, seperti pembacaan sensor, penyimpanan data ke microSD, dan pengiriman data ke aplikasi ponsel melalui Blynk. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan akurasi deteksi langkah sebesar 97,5%, kecepatan rata-rata 99,66%, dan jarak 92,46% dibandingkan smartwatch. FSM berperan dalam efisiensi daya, sementara RTOS memastikan stabilitas sistem saat menjalankan beberapa proses simultan. Data dapat disimpan lokal atau dikirim nirkabel, memberikan fleksibilitas bagi pengguna. Perangkat ini menawarkan solusi yang lebih akurat, efisien, dan hemat daya dibandingkan perangkat wearable komersial untuk pemantauan aktivitas fisik. Abstract

Latihan side lunge merupakan salah satu bentuk olahraga yang efektif untuk melatih otot kaki, terutama otot paha dan lutut. Namun, kesalahan postur selama melakukan latihan ini dapat meningkatkan risiko cedera, khususnya pada ligamen lutut dan punggung bawah. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem wearable yang mampu mendeteksi postur side lunge secara real-time menggunakan sensor MPU6050 dan algoritma Support vector machine (SVM). Sistem ini dirancang agar pengguna dapat memperoleh umpan balik langsung melalui buzzer, guna membantu memperbaiki postur latihan secara mandiri tanpa pengawasan pelatih. Sistem terdiri dari dua node: satu dipasang pada punggung dan satu lagi pada lutut. Data sensor dari kedua node digabungkan dan diproses menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32. Model klasifikasi dilatih dengan algoritma SVM berbasis dataset tiga kelas, yaitu "benar", "salah", dan "idle". Hasil klasifikasi kemudian digunakan untuk mengaktifkan buzzer sesuai dengan kategori postur. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model SVM yang diterapkan ini mampu mencapai akurasi klasifikasi hingga 100% pada mode kanan dan 100% pada mode kiri, sedangkan implementasi sistem memberikan presentase akurasi ssitem untuk mode kanan mencapai 100% dan mode kiri mencapai 91,67%. Selain itu, waktu komputasi sistem sebesar 3238 mikrodetik untuk mode kanan dan 3436 mikrodetik untuk mode kiri, menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan respons secara cepat. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan tidak hanya akurat, tetapi juga responsif dan dapat digunakan secara praktis dalam latihan fisik harian untuk mencegah cedera akibat kesalahan postur.
