Abstract

Sesait Village is a village with abundant agricultural producers located in Kayangan sub-district, North Lombok district. This village is a village that has a lot of potential to be developed, especially in agriculture and animal husbandry. The livelihood of the majority of the population is farming, gardening and animal husbandry. Honey bee farming is an alternative choice for the people of Sesait village, namely the Trigona honey bee. The purpose of this study is to provide information about the role of the government and the community in dealing with the stunting problem that occurs in Sesait Village. This research partnered with the Sesait village government, Sesait village PKK women, the Dasa Wisma group, and the Santong health center. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of requests for stunting data, interviews with related parties and surveys. Stunting which began to occur in 2021 until now has been able to be overcome by the Sesait village government with an initial number of 165 children affected by stunting until the latest data in 2023 totaling 101 children still suffering from stunting. This drastic development from 2022 to mid-2023 from 134 to 101 children affected by stunting occurred due to the additional nutritional intake of Trigona honey bees for children affected by stunting. In general, giving trigona honey is a solution in dealing with stunting prevention because the content contained in the honey is useful as additional nutrition for toddlers who are stunted.

Abstract

Increased fishing and agricultural activities trigger eutrophication events in marine waters. Excessive availability of nutrients can cause changes in the composition of community structures in marine ecosystems. Therefore an effort is needed to mitigate the eutrophication process in coastal and marine areas by increasing the nutrient partition coefficient in compartments that can absorb or consume these nutrients such as macroalgae or seaweed. The aim of this study was to determine the absorption capacity of nutrients (N and P) from Gracilaria sp. Seaweed as a mitigating agent for eutrophication in waters. This research was conducted in October–November 2018 in a controlled manner at the PUI-P2RL Wet Laboratory, Hasanuddin University. Seaweed maintenance media is intensive pond wastewater that has gone through a filtering and sterilization process. The results showed that Gracilaria sp. able to absorb nutrients in the form of NH3, NO2 , NO3 and PO4. Gracilaria sp. able to reduce NO3 by 0.840 ± 0.065 μg/l/day, NO2 by 2.100 ± 0.609 μg/l/day, NH3 by 1.506 ± 0.204 μg/l/day and PO4 by 8.756 ± 2.785 μg/l/day.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the most effective and efficient feeding frequency so that it can influence the growth of Sangkuriang catfish fry. This type of research is experimental research using analysis of variance (ANASRA). This research was carried out at the Batu Kumbung Fish Seed Center (BBI), Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. The results of analysis of variance regarding the effect of feeding silk worms with different feeding frequencies on the growth of Sangkuriang catfish seeds showed very significantly different results where F count > F table 1% (26 > 8.02). Further test results using the least significant difference test (BNT) showed that there was a significant difference between P1 and P2 (0.072 > BNT 0.0715), significantly different between treatments P1 and P3 (0.161 < BNT 0.0715) and significantly different between P2 and P3 (0.089 > BNT 0.0715)

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Whole Language approach to enhance Reading Comprehension Skills among middle school students at SMPN I Bolo. Facing significant challenges in mastering comprehensive language skills, this research utilized a Classroom Action Research method conducted in two cycles, integrating interactive and holistic language learning activities. Initial observations showed that only 61.2% of students achieved the expected level of comprehension, which triggered the need for an integrated approach in teaching. Subsequent adjustments resulted in a substantial increase in comprehension levels, with 91.7% of students achieving the target comprehension scores in the second cycle. The findings indicate that the Whole Language approach not only improves reading comprehension but also actively involves students in the learning process through guided reading and writing activities. This study confirms the effectiveness of the Whole Language approach in creating an engaging and comprehensive learning environment, significantly enhancing students’ reading comprehension abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the paylater system on the dynamics of digital transactions in Indonesia and to examine its legal status from the perspective of contemporary Islamic commercial jurisprudence (fiqh al-mu’āmalāt). Employing a qualitative research design grounded in library research, this study draws upon academic literature, official financial institution reports, and relevant Islamic legal sources. The findings reveal that the paylater system has transformed consumer behavior in Indonesia—from prudence-based spending to a consumption pattern driven by instant credit access. While it contributes to financial inclusion, particularly for populations underserved by formal financial institutions, the system also poses significant risks of consumer debt, especially among youth with low financial literacy. From the perspective of fiqh al-mu’āmalāt, paylater schemes are categorized under deferred payment sales contracts (al-bay’u bi thaman ājil), which are permissible provided that contractual conditions are met. However, in digital practice, these schemes often involve elements of gharar (uncertainty) due to the lack of clear information and the potential for riba (usury) stemming from unauthorized interest and penalty mechanisms. Furthermore, the hybrid nature of these contracts—combining elements of loans, sales, and services—introduces additional legal complexities. Therefore, the paylater system must be restructured in accordance with the principles of justice, transparency, and consumer protection, aligning with the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī’ah). These findings underscore the urgency of implementing sharia-compliant oversight in digital financial services and enhancing consumer literacy as a necessary adaptation of Islamic jurisprudence to the evolving digital economy.
