Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Adang language as a cultural identity of the people of Adang Buom Village, Teluk Mutiara District, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The method used is qualitative description with interview techniques with community leaders, Mr Rudi Haan. The results showed that Adang language has an important role in oral tradition, song, and literature, but faces the threat of extinction due to the dominance of Indonesian language. Preservation efforts have been made through the establishment of the Adang Language Literacy House and the publication of the Gospel of Mark Bible and Song of Songs in this language. It is hoped that the community, the younger generation, and researchers will continue to contribute in preserving and developing the Adang language so that it will survive and be passed on to future generations.

Abstract

This research aims to present Cultural Preservation through Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Kamot Village, Alor Timur Laut District. The research method used descriptive qualitative analysis. data collection techniques were carried out in two ways, observation and interviews. this research was conducted in kamot village hamlet 1 RW 02 RT 04 Alor Timur Laut sub-district, Alor district. information in this study is the founder of the Kamengmi studio, namely Mr Maklon Kamenglang. The results of this study show that: (1) The Origins of Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Kamot Village; (2) The Establishment of Kamengmi Cultural Studio as an Effort to Preserve Local Culture; (3) Programmes and Activities in Kamengmi Cultural Studio; (4) The Role of Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Strengthening Local Cultural Identity; (5) Social and Economic Impact on Kamot Village Community; (6) Challenges Faced by Kamengmi Cultural Studio. The results of this study can be concluded that Kamengmi Culture in Kamot Village has a very large role in the preservation of local culture. Through teaching dances, songs, and cultural values, this studio not only preserves cultural heritage but also strengthens the identity of the local community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the customary meal in the marriage ceremony of Abui tribe men to Kui tribe women in Alor district. This research uses qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. Data analysis techniques were carried out by means of data reduction and conclusion drawing. the research was conducted at Matalafang Tourism, west lembur village, north central alor sub-district, alor district. The informant in this research is the customary head of Matalafang. The results of this study are eating customs in the Abui tribe men's engagement to Kui tribe women. One of the customs that is still maintained until now is the traditional meal in the male engagement ceremony for women. The proposal from Abui men to Kui women is one part of the marriage procession of the Abui and Kui communities. In conducting the proposal ceremony, both parties are represented by their respective spokespersons. In general, the customary food of the Abui tribe and the Kui tribe in the engagement ceremony has similarities, where families bring rice and also animals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the tradition of the Pinangan Tradition of the Baurah Alor Kecil Tribe in Alor Regency, the research data analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis, the data used in the research is qualitative data. Data collection techniques through field observations and interviews, interviews with Mr Sulaiman Oramahi. The proposal tradition, known as Akat Nika, is part of the marriage customs practised by the Baurah Tribe. This tradition has a deep meaning in honouring the bride's parents and strengthening the relationship between the families of the two brides. Through this research, it is hoped that the values contained in the proposal tradition and the way the community maintains this tradition in traditional marriages can be known. The results show that the proposal tradition is still upheld and passed down from generation to generation as part of the cultural identity of the Alor Kecil community.

Abstract

Alor Regency is one of the regencies that has a lot of tourism potential and is also known as the land of a thousand mokos, therefore Alor is famous for its heaven in the east of the sun. According to the task obtained: This research was carried out in the village of Alor Besar Kec.ABAL with the title Analysis of the tourism potential of the Sebanjar beach. can spoil our eyes when we are there, the facilities that are offered are extraordinary where the local community organizes the tour very well. Sebanjar tourism looks crowded with visitors on holidays. On weekdays, visitors are not too crowded. To enter, visitors can pay a nominal fee of Rp. 2,000/person if seen from visitor data. Sebanjar beach tourism also provides facilities for visitors if they want to stay where there are eight villas. And there is also a cafe that provides typical food.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the structure, philosophy and traditional values of the Makassar tribe's traditional house in Alor Kecil Village. This research uses qualitative research methods. The technique used for data collection is using interviews, with Mr. Muhammad Nasri Daeng Lanusu as well as observation and documentation. Muhammad Nasri Daeng Lanusu as well as observation and documentation. The results obtained from this study are that the traditional house of the Makassar tribe is a large stilt house, which is made of basic materials of wood, bamboo, and the roof uses zinc. Makassar traditional houses have a roof shape that has a different philosophical meaning from ordinary stilt houses. The traditional house of the Makassar tribe has the traditional value of unity and togetherness.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to present an ethnographic study of mesba as a symbol of the spiritual identity of the Kopodi Village community in Kabola sub-district. Research data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The data used in the research is qualitative data. The data collection technique was carried out in two ways, namely field observation and interviews. This research was conducted in Kopidil Village, Kabola Sub-district, Alor Regency. The information in this research is traditional leaders. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Mesbah is one very important aspect in performing lego-lego dance. (2) lego-lego dance, kabola tribe, has similarities that are not much different from the tribes in alor district because it has similarities such as circular movements, hand in hand, and foot stomping. (3) traditional houses made of three warehouses and named Bangtowo means three large villages that temporarily hold activities in that place. (4) accompaniment musical instruments that are often used by the Kabola Tribe Community at lego-lego gong and drum performances (5) the traditional dress of the kabola tribe is a dress made of bark. However, in this study, researchers focused more on researching ethnographic studies of mesba as a symbol of the spiritual identity of the Kopidil village community, this research can be concluded that the Kopidil village community has an interesting Mesba story.

Abstract

Masyarakat pedesaan umumnya memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik yang tinggi sehingga sering mengabaikan istirahat, pola makan, dan perawatan kesehatan. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menurunkan daya tahan tubuh dan meningkatkan risiko gangguan kesehatan. Salah satu alternatif solusi berbasis kearifan lokal adalah pemanfaatan jamu tradisional KU-HE-SE, yaitu campuran kunyit, jahe, dan serai, yang telah terbukti mengandung senyawa bioaktif, aktivitas antioksidan, dan nilai gizi yang bermanfaat. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat pedesaan dalam memanfaatkan jamu KU-HE-SE untuk menunjang kesehatan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi, demonstrasi pembuatan jamu, serta evaluasi melalui kuesioner pre-test dan post-test pengetahuan masyarakat. Data kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan rata-rata skor pengetahuan masyarakat dari 56,3% (pre-test) menjadi 85,7% (post-test). Hasil pengabdian memperlihatkan bahwa masyarakat tidak hanya memahami manfaat jamu KU-HE-SE, tetapi juga mampu memproduksinya secara mandiri untuk konsumsi harian. Dengan demikian, program ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat pedesaan melalui pemanfaatan herbal lokal yang murah, mudah diakses, dan berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

The matriculation program at Tribuana Kalabahi University aims to help new students adapt to the academic environment through effective initial teaching. However, to ensure that this program runs according to students' expectations, a comprehensive eval_uation of the quality of teaching is needed. This study aims to eval_uate the satisfaction of new students of the Chemistry and Management Study Programs with matriculation teaching based on aspects of teaching quality, methods, and lecturer-student interaction. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a closed questionnaire on a Likert scale of 1-5 distributed to 59 matriculation students. Data analysis using descriptive statistics showed that 87.64% of Chemistry Study Program students and 90.53% of Management Study Program students were satisfied to very satisfied with the teaching provided. Based on the existing assessment criteria, this level of satisfaction places the quality of teaching in the very good category, although there were 11.72% and 9.45% of students in each study program who were quite satisfied, indicating room for improvement. In conclusion, matriculation teaching in both study programs has met students' expectations with a high level of satisfaction, but efforts to improve quality are still needed to achieve more optimal results
