Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACTPremenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a collection of symptoms or complaints by women on days 7-10 before menstruation until the end of menstruation. Symptoms include physical, psychological, and emotional which can affect lifestyle and behavior. The exact cause of PMS is still unknown, but it can be triggered and exacerbated by several factors, one of which is physical activity. The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the government's school from home policy to prevent transmission, indirectly changing physical activity, especially for female students which can exacerbate PMS symptoms experienced. This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical activity and PMS during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method is observational analytic with cross sectional design. The study was conducted on female students of SMAN "A" Surabaya with an age 15-18 years. The number of samples 78 respondents with a sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling. Bivariate analysis using Chi Square Test. The results showed that there were 46.2% moderate physical activity, with moderate PMS 57.7%. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship between physical activity and PMS p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) with a Prevalence Ratio (PR) of 1.895 (95% CI 1.303-2.755). There is a significant relationship between physical activity and premenstrual syndrome in adolescent girls. Education and information on management efforts are urgently needed to reduce PMS complaints, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Father involvement is an important aspect of the parenting process. Several studies have proven the positive influence of father involvement on children’s development. Unfortunately, both research on and implementation of parenting is still dominated by mothers, creating a need for studies on father involvement in child rearing. This literature review was compiled using three databases: Scopus, Sage and Science Direct. The main objective of this literature review is 1) to examine predictor variables of father involvement and 2) to assess the population of studies on father involvement. Forty-nine articles were analyzed in this review. The findings of this study show that research on paternal involvement in parenting is dominated by studies examining populations from a Western cultural context. In addition, most research on father involvement is rooted in the concept proposed by Lamb et al. (1985) in which paternal involvement is viewed through three dimensions: direct interaction, accessibility, and ultimate responsibility. Father-related, or individual, factors dominate the discourse of previous research as predictor variables of paternal involvement in parenting. A broader approach is required to determine predictor variables related to father involvement, due to the fact that there are many differences in the concept of family identity in non-Western cultures, especially in more communal societies. Research limitations are further explained in the article.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain a standardized Indonesian version of the adaptability scale of guidance and counseling teachers. Adaptability consists of 8 dimensions: crisis, culture, work stress, interpersonal, physical, creative, learning, and uncertainty. The adaptation process is carried out using the International Test Commission (2016) reference. This adaptation involves 276 BK teachers. The research instrument is a statement item consisting of 55 items. The data analysis technique uses content analysis and constructs analysis. The content analysis used the CVI, while the construct analysis used CFA with the AMOS 21 program. The reliability test was based on internal consistency through the Cronbach Alpha coefficient. The results of the data analysis show that the CVR value meets the minimum parameters. There are 30 items that are proven to have a good fit model. The reliability coefficient of Cronbach's alpha individual variable adaptability measurement is .929.
