Abstract

One aspect that can be used to overcome learning quality problems is by updating the curriculum. Currently, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia has initiated a new curriculum called the independent learning curriculum. This is also implemented at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta, a school that implements the Independent Learning Curriculum. The objectives to be achieved in this research are: (1) To determine the planning of the independent learning curriculum in improving the quality of learning economy at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta, (2) To determine the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in improving the quality of learning economy at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta, (3) To find out the evaluation of the independent learning curriculum in improving the quality of learning economy at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta. In this research, researchers used descriptive qualitative research. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses the Miles Huberman and Saldana model which includes data collection, data condensation and presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are: (1) Planning for the independent learning curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta was carried out in June 2022 involving all stack holders. The procedure begins with preparing files, human resources and also facilities and infrastructure, then the planning results are uploaded to the page. The reference used is the Merdeka Mengajar Platform. (2) The procedure for implementing the independent learning curriculum has four stages, namely initial, developing, ready and proficient. The initial stage is the stage of composing the learning flow, the second stage is the developing stage, which is the stage of making adjustments to the learning flow, the third stage is the ready stage, which is the stage where the teacher arranges the learning flow according to the material and the fourth stage is the advanced stage, which is the stage of developing the learning flow in the learning process. In preparing learning, teaching modules are used and the strategies used in its application are knowledge obtained from training. Meanwhile, the learning model requires students to be active and independent. (3) Evaluation of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is carried out using formative and summative evaluations. Formative evaluation is an evaluation carried out by assessing self-assessment while summative evaluation is carried out by giving assignments to students. Follow-up in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is also highly expected. Development needs to be carried out so that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum can be carried out further.

Abstract

This study focused on managing learning skills to improve the learning quality of children with mild intellectual disability SLB Sukagalih and SLB ABC YPLAB Lembang, West Bandung Regency, West Java. Vocational learning programs for mild intellectual disability in special high school education units have not been properly managed to meet employment demands. The mismanagement is mainly caused by several factors, including the teachers' skillset that is not suitable for the skills needed in the field, the inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and the management of skills learning has not been carried out as needed. This study aims to determine what management of skills learning will likely improve its quality for children with mild intellectual disability at special needs schools so that the graduates can be accepted in the work field. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The results showed that: 1) the work skills type selection given to students is not entirely based on the work fields’ requirement but rather more often refers to the skills mastered by the teacher, 2) work skills learning implementation has been carried out starting from planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. 3) the obstacles schools and teachers face in implementing skills learning are no available assessment for various work skill types, the children who lack confidence, and lack of trust from the community about their employability. 4) Improvement efforts made by schools and teachers are choosing the skill types suitable to the work field, increasing the teacher's ability to master work-related skills, and establishing cooperation with the job providers. Recommends school and teacher to improve the collaboration with the job providers and make written agreements for both parties to provide a legal foundation in conduct cooperation.

Abstract

After the COVID-19 pandemic. network-based learning has become a necessity and habit for many universities in Indonesia. This research focuses on the problem of student's lack of participation in online learning through virtual meetings. The purpose of this study is to analyze undergraduate students' perceptions of online lectures. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. involving 233 students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education as respondents. The data collection method used was a questionnaire with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet. After the data was collected. it was analyzed using the descriptive statistical analysis method. Based on the findings of this study. students' perceptions of online learning overall are at a high level. especially on the aspect of flexibility. which is rated very positively. However. some aspects need more attention. primarily related to the effectiveness of online learning in improving academic achievement and reducing boredom. It can be concluded that while students appreciate the flexibility and convenience of online learning. there is a need to improve the quality of the learning process to make it more effective and meaningful for students. The implication is that universities need to develop more interactive. meaningful and engaging online learning strategies to increase student participation. In addition. more varied types of assignments and the use of technology that supports more collaboration will increase the effectiveness and satisfaction of online learning in the future.

Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities experience limitations in their cognitive abilities, which can impact their academic performance, particularly in subjects such as mathematics. To facilitate comprehension for these children, it is essential to use concrete and engaging learning media. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of such media in aiding children with disabilities in learning mathematics. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal that some children with mild intellectual disabilities are able to recognize geometric shapes with teacher guidance, although others continue to face challenges. The study concludes with the development of validated mathematics learning media designed to help Grade VII students with mild intellectual disabilities recognize geometric shapes using Geoboard media. The study recommends that schools provide educational props or support media to enhance mathematics instruction related to data structures. It is also suggested that teachers and parents integrate these media into every lesson for practical application, with the goal of continuous improvement in the accessibility and effectiveness of learning media for children with mild intellectual disabilities.
