Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi, guru teknik otomotif-pun harus memperbaharui dan meningkatkan kemampuannya untuk industri otomotif maju, termasuk kemampuan untuk mendiagnosa vehicle security system (VSS), kunci sentral/kunci pintu, dan immobilizer kendaraan. Penting untuk memperkenalkan dan melatih guru mata pelajaran perawatan dan perbaikan comfort safety dan IT untuk mendiagnosis VSS dan immobilizer menggunakan alat dan mesin yang sama yang ditentukan untuk digunakan di tempat kerja, karena cakupan materi pada kompetensi untuk mendiagnosis VSS dan immobilizer cukup luas dan hanya tersedia waktu yang terbatas. Tim pelaksana pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari program studi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif UM memberikan pelatihan, khusus bagi guru teknik otomotif di SMK, dengan maksud untuk mentransfer ilmu otomotif mutakhir terkini yaitu VSS dan immobilizers, dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan automotive advanced guru. Metode pelatihan termasuk melakukan survei lokasi, mengembangkan materi pelatihan, membuat jadwal, menyediakan alat dan bahan, dan melatih guru untuk mengevaluasi. Pelatihan VSS dan immobilizer dilakukan secara offline sesuai program, dan hasilnya adalah peningkatan pengetahuan otomotif tingkat lanjut guru, dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata posttest (86,00) lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata pretest (69,65), dan perbedaannya adalah signifikan secara statistik (Sig. Selain itu, berdasarkan penjelasan nara sumber, guru memahami cara mengajar siswa tentang VSS dan immobilizer.

Abstract

Unggulan daya tarik wisata embung ngrancah adalah destinasi wisata sayuran holtikultura yang ditanam secara polibak memanfaatkan daerah serapan air sekitar embung. Kunjungan wisata menjadi ramai pada saat musim panen seperti sawi, tomat, cabai dan kangkung. Keunikanya para wisata diperbolehkan memetik sayuran secara mandiri kemudian ditimbang untuk membayarnya, namun tempat wisata ini menjadi sepi tatkala sayuran holtikultura telah habis dipanen atau banyak pengunjung yang memetik. Kondisi ini tak jarang menjadi keluhan bagi sebagian wisata karena selain sayuran yang segar tidak bisa dinikmati setiap saat, kondisi tempat wisata menjadi tidak menarik lagi. Pengelola tempat wisata dan beberapa warga menyikapi kondisi ini dengan menanam tanaman hortikultura secara mandiri di sekitar area tempat wisata menggunakan media polibek. Meskipun teknik tanam menggunakan polibek ini dipilih untuk memanam tanaman hortikultura, beberapa kekurangan juga dirasakan oleh pengelola dan warga skitar diantaranya kesulitan mendapatkan tanah yang bagus, teknik pengairan secara manual diambil dari embung sumber ngrencah dan membutuhkan dana yang banyak untuk pengadaan atau pembelian tanah kompos. tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah (1) Menghasilkan teknologi tepat guna berupa fountain pump dan Teknik hidroponik DFT (deep flow technique) pada sayuran hidroponik, untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil sayuran holtiltura pada mitra pengabdian, (2) Melakukan bimbingan teknis tentang penggunaan alat fountain pump dan teknik DFT agar hasil produksi tanaman holtikultura dapat meningkat dari segi kualitas dan kuantitasnya.Hasil dari kegaiatan ini adalah Penerapan teknologi hidroponik DFT memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi mitra hingga untuk pengembambangan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Swimming pools as public facilities that are crowded with people can potentially become a means of spreading germs and health problems due to poor environmental sanitation conditions and polluted pool water quality. Polluted swimming pool water quality can also be a means of spreading disease germs and health problems. Based on this background, the community service team through UM's internal funds intends to conduct community service as part of the tri dharma of higher education with the aim of (1) Creating and implementing a filtration system in the Padusan Tourism swimming pool that can be controlled remotely based on the Internet of Thinks ( IOT) with the type of filtration, (2) Conduct installation technical guidance on the Electrocosgulation Filtration System so that the results of water purification and pool cleanliness can be maintained properly. The method used in this community service activity is community empowerment through training and mentoring. The implementation of community service through counseling on swimming pool filtration equipment has had a positive impact and can increase understanding for residents who have swimming pool management. This can be seen from the interest and agreement between the village head and residents to produce the waste filter equipment themselves. As well as changes in the behavior of housewives in terms of limiting the use of water from springs and river water for bathing, irrigation, and consumption by livestock. In addition, this counseling activity showed that there was an increase in the understanding of Padusan Village residents as participants in this activity which was indicated by the correct answers in the question and answer process by the presenters.

Abstract

UMKM Batik Ndil Koro, it is obtained that the process of making batik is less effective and efficient. At the time of the production process and the level of production speed, it was still done manually by the Cap Ndil Koro batik craftsmen. Based on this background, the community service team through internal UM funds intends to hold community service (1) Produce appropriate technology in the form of a CNC Router Milling Machine to improve the production process at UMK batik Ndilkoro for service partners, (2) Conduct technical guidance on the use of CNC tools Router Milling so that the production of batik can be increased in terms of quality and quantity, and the integration component of batik design and manufacture has been designed and prototyped. This component consists of a design system using the motif recognition method, and a computer-based CNC batik machine. The prototype has been successfully tested. System testing is done by designing batik motifs that are quite complex then transferring them into G-Code data and finally reading it to control the machine. The level of precision that is measured by testing simple images in the form of lines and rectangles can reach a precision level of up to 0.17mm, and this system is capable of producing the results. has a decent level of economic feasibility for investment. However, caution is needed in its application to avoid culture shock because it involves changes in production methods that are very different, so it is advisable to carry out socialization, education and transition programs by stakeholders, especially local governments.

Abstract

The objectives of this community service activity are (1) Producing appropriate technology in the form of an IoT  -Based Control System for NFT Hydroponics for monitoring and Controlling Nutrition in Orchid Cultivation for service partners, (2) Conducting technical guidance on the use of IoT  -Based Control System tools for NFT Hydroponics for Monitoring and Control of Nutrition in Orchid Cultivation to produce superior and quality orchid seeds, (3) Providing assistance on how to process AB MIX organic liquid fertilizer which is then integrated into the NFT hydroponic system. The method used in this community service activity is community empowerment through training and mentoring. The results of the Workshop on agricultural automation systems for farmer groups in Kediri Regency are one of the efforts made to improve economic recovery, especially to increase the quality and quantity of agricultural products. In this community service activity it is also hoped that it will be able to build the competency of the farming automation system in farmer groups in Kediri Regency. This activity can bring farmer groups who still use conventional methods to modern ways by implementing monitoring and automation systems.

Abstract

Goat manure that has not been processed still has a poor texture. On the other hand, the high price of fertilizer makes it difficult for farmers to get it. However, with many farmers also having goats, of course goat manure can be an abundant source of fertilizer. The community service implementation team from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Malang (UM) answered partners' needs, by providing a solution for implementing Goat Manure Grinder technology. To achieve the goal of service, the procedures taken include 1) location survey, 2) social approach, 3) product development, 4) preparation of guidelines, 5) application of science and technology/TTG through outreach activities, introduction of tools/TTG and training; 6) follow-up through modeling and mentoring; 7) monev: progress presentation and final report, and 8) outcome fulfillment. This tool is useful for 1) smoothing goat manure, 2) can help local farmers to get cheap organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The professionalism of vocational school teachers is also seen as lacking. This is shown by the high number of vocational school teachers who do not yet have teaching certificates or skill competency certificates. Educator certification is an indicator that the teacher has been declared to have met the requirements and passed the competency test to become a professional teacher. On the other hand, a skills competency certificate is an indicator that a vocational teacher is an expert in a vocational field. The problem is that not all teachers have the opportunity to take part in programs/disseminations either officially organized by the government or private sector to improve professional competence. The community service implementation team from the UM Automotive Engineering Education Undergraduate study program provides training specifically for automotive engineering teachers at the vocational school with the aim of transferring the latest knowledge related to automotive advanced, namely EMS, to improve teachers' professional competence. Training methods include site surveys, formulating training materials, making schedules, preparing tools, materials and training instructors up to evaluation. EMS training was held offline in accordance with health protocols, and the results were an increase in teacher professional competence as evidenced by the mean posttest score (70.29) > mean pretest score (62.11) and the difference was real Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 at 0.05. Apart from that, from the resource person's explanation, teachers know how to teach EMS to students.

Abstract

The automotive development sector especially transmission shifts. That challenge for VocationalHigh Schools (SMK) which graduated technician candidates. For long time ago car transmissionswere dominated used manual transmissions, currently automatic transmissions (AT) dominatedover manual transmissions. One of the causes were used AT was traffic jams. Based on the resultsof interviews with teachers and students, information was obtained that (1) many vocational schoolteachers did not master automatic transmission material; (2) vocational school students did nothad the competency to maintain car automatic transmissions; (3) many vocational schools hadautomatic transmissions but ware not used. Participants in this training were 30 vocational schoolteachers in Malang district. The material presented in this research was the Suzuki Swift 4-speedautomatic transmission. This study used a quantitative approach. The training program evaluationmethod used in this research is the Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation Model. Based on the resultsof the questionnaire, it shows that the facilities used in this training are as desired. The Anova testresults show a significance of 0.00, which means that there is a significant difference between thepretest and posttest. Automatic transmission training is effective for improving automatictransmission maintenance competency

Abstract

Memilih buah yang tepat untuk dipanen membutuhkan pertimbangan yang matang dari proses memanen buah salak. Buah salak matang biasanya hanya bisa dipetik dengan tangan. Namun, prosedur mengumpulkan salak menjadi sulit jika buahnya berada di tengah pohon dan ditumbuhi duri. Tim pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat Jurusan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) merespon tuntutan mitra dengan menawarkan solusi TTG Full Plate Armor Innovation. Untuk mencapai tujuan layanan, langkah-langkah berikut diambil: 1) penilaian lokasi; 2) pendekatan sosial; 3) pengembangan produk; 4) penyusunan pedoman; 5) penerapan iptek/TTG melalui kegiatan sosialisasi, pengenalan alat/TTG, dan pelatihan; 6) tindak lanjut melalui percontohan dan pendampingan; 7) monev: presentasi kemajuan dan laporan akhir; dan 8) memenuhi kewajiban eksternal. Hasil PKM: 1) Produk berfungsi dengan baik dan bermanfaat bagi pemakainya dengan melindungi tubuh dari duri pohon salak, mudah memotong buah salak, dan memangkas dahan pohon salak yang tidak bermanfaat. 2) Produk tersebut meningkatkan efisiensi proses pemanenan salak, dari 15 pohon per hari menjadi 20, 23, dan 25 pohon per hari.Kata kunci : duri, Full Plate Armor, salak

Abstract

Peningkatan daya motor pada smart grinder machine ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas dan peningkatan produksi. Hal ini dikarenakan permintaan konsumen yang semakin meningkat dan hasil adonan sambel pecel yang diharapkan bertekstur kasar. Sebelumnya, pelaku usaha mengalami kendala bahwa smart grinder machinenya sering macet dan hasil adonan sambel halus, sehingga tidak sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen. Sehingga, melalui program ini diberikan perlakuan berupa peningkatan kapasitas daya motor mesin dan modifikasi mata pisau grinder agar dapat mempercepat proses produksi dan hasil adonannya bertekstur kasar. Luaran dari program ini adalah membantu pelaku usaha untuk meningkatkan kapasitas hasil produksi dan kualitas produk yang sesuai dengan permintaan konsumen.Kata kunci—Grinder, sambal pecel, peningkatan produksi
