Abstract

The problem with evaluating learning outcomes using paper-based tests is that the scoring calculation process takes a long time. So, the test results cannot be known directly. The implementation of learning outcomes evaluation in learning evaluation courses so far still uses paper-based tests, so students have to wait to find out the test results. This research and development apply the ADDIE model which is carried out in five stages. The instruments used in this research were tests and student response questionnaires regarding the use of the "Kahoot!" application. Analysis of the data obtained is divided into two types, namely quantitative data and qualitative data. The qualitative data results are based on criticism and suggestions presented by the validator to improve the question instrument. The results of the validation of the question instrument were in the "suitable for use with many revisions" category, the test results obtained 46 "valid" questions. Furthermore, the practicality test results are in the "quite practical" category with a score of 3.80 and for the effectiveness test results Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.068 means "there is no effect between tests using the "Kahoot!" by testing using Google Form”. However, judging from the test results obtained by students with different treatments, there are differences in scores, so this proves that this application is effective to use with very supportive signal provider requirements.

Abstract

In this 4.0 era, the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) cannot be separated from every area of life. The role of science and technology is to participate in facilitating and building every implementation of the ideals of independence, one of which is in the field of education. This article aims to empower and improve teachers' ability to master Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a support for learning, considering that the limited ability to master technology among teachers in Indonesia is still a problem. The research method used is through literature studies that are conceptual in nature and related to ideas and theoretical studies. The ICT capabilities possessed by teachers will help in the process of creating all the components needed for teaching in order to improve the quality of learning in the era of globalization. This article uses a literature study method through collecting library data to produce an idea or thoughts. It is hoped that this article can be an effort to improve teachers' ability to utilize technology in their role as educators, because massive technological advances would be a shame if they were not balanced with the readiness of human resources regarding mastery skills.

Abstract

Abstract mathematical concepts, such as the elements of a circle, often pose challenges for students in achieving deep understanding. This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing visual-based learning on students’ learning outcomes in circle material. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving a population of 63 eighth-grade students at UPT SMPN 3 Ranah Pesisir, with a sample of 42 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests and analyzed with an independent two-sample t-test after confirming data normality and homogeneity. The results indicated a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who received visual-based learning and those who received conventional instruction, demonstrating that visual-based learning effectively enhances students’ understanding of abstract circle concepts. These findings provide practical implications for teachers in designing more effective, visually-oriented instructional strategies and contribute theoretically by reinforcing evidence that visualization improves the quality of mathematics learning for materials that require concrete and systematic representation.

Abstract

This research is a field study with a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to comprehensively describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation process of the tahsin program for teachers and students, as well as interpret the dynamics that occur during its implementation. The results of the study indicate that during the planning stage, the head of the school prepares teaching materials such as a tahsin guidebook, the Quran, stationery, and other supporting media such as PowerPoint and additional reference sources. Teachers prepare the guidebook, stationery, and the Quran, while students prepare the Tilawati book, stationery, and the Quran. During the implementation stage, the tahsin program for teachers is carried out once a week, while for students it is carried out four times a week using media such as the tahsin guidebook, the Quran, and the Tilawati book. Teacher evaluations are carried out continuously throughout the learning process, both at the beginning and at the end of the session. Meanwhile, student evaluations are carried out after completing each chapter of material, both verbally and in writing. The obstacles faced in the implementation of tahsin for teachers are time constraints and regular teacher absence due to other busyness, which are overcome by giving additional assignments in the form of memorizing theory or practice. Meanwhile, obstacles faced by students include low attendance rates and differences in their ability to absorb material, which are addressed by giving homework and additional time for individual tahsin.

Abstract

Industrial revolution 4.0. causing a shift in lifestyle from a social, religious pattern to a materialistic and secular individual pattern. Apart from that, the cultural sector has been disrupted due to the development of social media which has reconstructed the cultural structure of society. Social relations between communities are now more closely established in the virtual world, so that relationships in the real world have become relative. This results in a lack of direct communication with family members because they focus on seeking their own pleasure. In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, parents have also given gadgets to their children aged around 4-6 years. This research uses a social approach method and structural functionalism as its theory. The results of the research are that families do not reject revolution and use technology to help their daily lives. Apart from that, there are implications of structural functionalism theory with the occurrence of disruption in the era of the industrial revolution, especially in the social and cultural fields of society. The Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 is an era where various things in life are filled with sophisticated technology. Several families that the author studied have used technology produced by the industrial revolution 4.0. They use it in their daily lives so that it is felt as a need and urgency. As a result, there is a shift in perspective and lifestyle in society in various areas of life, one of which is social and cultural, resulting in disruption.
