At Kostrad Kariango Maros is located in Sudirman Village, Tanra Lili District, Maros Regency, at Kostrad, Kariango 1 battalion consists of 2500 personnel, but the focus of the PKM is TNI personnel who serve as staff, non-commissioned officers and officers in the Brigif Denma unit. The purpose of implementing community service is to provide theory to the TNI about the importance of writing scientific papers, qualitative research material in writing scientific papers, training in good and correct article writing ethics, reviewing the use of good and correct Indonesian in writing scientific papers, and training in mendeley in writing scientific papers. The stages of activities proposed in the implementation of the PKM are the preparation stage, assessment stage, alternative activity planning stage, formulation stage, action plan, activity implementation stage, evaluation stage, and termination stage. The output of the PKM is in the form of youtube, newspapers, PKM is published in accredited national journals. The implementation of the PKM went according to plan. Abstract

Sulawesi is situated between the confluence of three plates, resulting in a very complex tectonic setting on the island. This has an impact on the occurrence of geological structures, including faults. One of them is the Matano Fault which consists of 6 segments (Kuleana Segment, Pewusai Segment, Matano Segment, Pamsoa Segment, Ballawai Segment, and Geresa Segment). The research area is located in Morowali Regency, covering the Geresa Segment. Morowali Regency recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 in 2012. This indicates that deformation has occurred. Therefore, this study aims to identify the deformation velocity around the Geresa Segment area. The methods used are geological observation and satellite image data processing to obtain information on deformation rates. The geological field study includes aspects of geomorphology, geological structure, and the rock types distribution. Meanwhile, the processing of satellite image data in the form of InSAR is carried out through the LiCSBAS package tools that has been integrated with LiCSAR. The analysis results illustrate the difference in deformation velocity around the Geresa Segment area. The area which is composed of Tolaka formation and Ultramafic complex tends to uplift with a deformation rate of up to 17 mm/year. In addition, alluvium that covers the southeastarn part has a land subsidence of up to 7 mm/year.

Abstract

This paper examines the collaborative roles of the public and private sectors in tourism disaster management, with a focus on Bali and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. These regions, renowned for their tourism significance, are highly vulnerable to natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Employing a multiple-case study approach, the research utilized semi-structured interviews with tourism stakeholders and focus group discussions with experts. The findings reveal notable differences in disaster preparedness between Bali and Yogyakarta, shaped by variations in policies, industry structures, and resource capacities. Drawing on Collaborative Governance Theory, the study underscores the critical role of structured stakeholder engagement in fostering shared goals, resource pooling, and mutual accountability in disaster management. Additionally, the research highlights the potential of integrating Indonesia’s early warning technologies—such as the Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS), tsunami and weather alerts by BMKG, and volcano hazard warnings by PVMBG—into localized disaster management frameworks to enhance preparedness and response. Public-private collaborations at both national and regional levels emerge as pivotal for strengthening disaster resilience in tourism-dependent areas. By aligning collaborative efforts with technological advancements, this study offers actionable insights for improving disaster management practices, safeguarding the tourism industry, and ensuring the well-being of affected communities. The research underscores the importance of comprehensive guidelines, enhanced stakeholder coordination, and the adoption of innovative technologies to mitigate disaster risks and promote sustainable tourism.
