Abstract

Introduction: Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 has transformed healthcare delivery through the Riyadh Health Clusters, integrating hospitals and primary care centers to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. Within this context, nurse-to-patient ratios and employee empowerment have emerged as critical factors influencing patient satisfaction but remain underexplored in the Saudi healthcare system. Objective: This study examines the impact of nurse-to-patient ratios and employee empowerment on patient satisfaction within Riyadh Health Clusters, a transformative healthcare model under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Methods: Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, data were collected from 384 healthcare professionals, predominantly nurses, across three clusters. Results: Linear regression analyses revealed a statistically significant but modest positive relationship between nurse-to-patient ratios and employee empowerment (β = 0.18, R² = 0.04, p < 0.05), underscoring the limited explanatory role of staffing adequacy in isolation. In contrast, employee empowerment demonstrated a robust impact on patient satisfaction (β = 0.45, R² = 0.56, p < 0.001), highlighting its centrality to care quality. The findings align with Kanter’s Structural Empowerment Theory but diverge from Western models due to Riyadh’s unique challenges, including hierarchical organizational cultures, a predominantly expatriate nursing workforce (70%), and urban-rural resource disparities. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the need for context-specific strategies that integrate staffing reforms with empowerment initiatives, such as leadership training and participatory decision-making, to mitigate workforce burnout and standardize care practices. These insights advance global healthcare literature by contextualizing empowerment dynamics in non-Western settings and offer actionable recommendations for policymakers to align Riyadh’s cluster model with Vision 2030’s patient-centered goals.

Abstract

Introduction: Hospitalrecyclingwhich cannot function normally and there are calculation errors in thewater mass balanceTo minimize the impact of waste water on environmental pollution, an evaluation of the IPAL unit is carried out. The aim of this research is to evaluate the IPAL and provide suggestions related to optimizing wastewater treatment at Hospital to improve wastewater removal performance. Material and Methods: This study refers to design criteria and quality standards based on literature review with PICO Analysis and evaluation of existing conditions using secondary and primary data. Based on the results of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) evaluation, it was found that the waste water discharge was 166.3 m3/day, had an efficiency that was in the very efficient and efficient category in processing waste water pollutant parameters so that the waste water treatment process ran well, and there was equalization of the first and second settling tanks. , activated sludge, trickling filter, filtration, disinfection and recycling did not meet the design criteria so recalculations were carried out.. Results: The solution provided is to tighten monitoring and testing of the condition of the quality of wastewater coming out of the WWTP unit by changing the sampling test method, re-measuring the quality of influent wastewater, improving the workings of the IPAL unit according to the applicable Standart Operation Procedure (SOP). Conclusion: After evaluating the waste water treatment unit, conclusions can be drawn, among others, based on the results of water quality tests and the work performance of the waste water quality parameters. The waste water quality parameter degradation efficiency is very effective, effective and quite effective and all parameters tested are in accordance with applicable quality standards.

Abstract

Background: World Health Organization Stated that dementia is experienced by the elderly aged 60-74 years by 15-20%, 75-85 years by 5-15%. The older the age, the greater the prevalence and the heavier the type of dementia experienced by the elderly. This study aims to determine the effect of brain exercise on the cognitive function of the elderly at the Public Health Center of Kendari City. Methods: : The design of this research is quasi experiment with pre and post test without control with quota sampling technique. The population in this study amounted to 125 people and the sample in this study was the elderly who experienced cognitive function disorders at the Perumnas Public Health Center as many as 15 people. Data analysis used the statistical paired sample t-test. The data collection tool used is the Mini Mental Status Examination questionnaire. Results: The results of this study indicate t count (12,646) > t table (6.714) and p value 0.000 <0.05 so Ho is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of brain exercise on the cognitive function of the elderly. Conclusions: It is hoped that the Public Health Center will pay more attention to the condition of the elderly who are in the working area of the Perumnas Health Center in order to minimize the risk of cognitive function disorders and carry out brain exercises for the elderly when the Posyandu for the elderly is carried out.

Abstract

Background: Clinical practice evaluation in nursing education is crucial to ensuring students have the competencies for optimal nursing practice, aligning with WHO standards. However, data from NCSBN indicates a significant need for more effective and comprehensive evaluation models. Aim: This aims to do a systematic review to identify and analyse evaluation models used in nursing education to enhance the quality of clinical practice evaluation for students, as well as strengths and weaknesses. Methodology: This systematic review was conducted by searching electronic database sources through journal search engines such as Google Scholar, ProQuest, CINAHL, PubMed, and Science Direct. The inclusion criteria were open-access journals published within the last five years (2018-2023). A journal search used key terms "mobile phone application" and "nursing students". Analysing using PRISMA and Software computer for journal review. Results: 12 eligible journals were found relevant to the topic out of 5,727 journals. Journals that were not eligible were excluded based on exclusion criteria. Each journal provided systematic information regarding methods of evaluating nursing students' clinical practice. Conclusion: Implementing appropriate evaluation models is crucial to enhance the quality of clinical practice evaluation for nursing students. The selection of evaluation methods should also be tailored to the evaluation objectives, available resources, and clinical education context. Combining multiple methods is often used to obtain a holistic and accurate picture of students' performance.
