Abstract

Wilayah normativitas agama dan ilmu pengetahuan menjadi studi yang selalu menarik untuk dikaji. Pandangan para pemikir ketika memandang agama dan ilmu pengatahuan sangat bervariasi. Sebagian mereka meyakini bahwa wilayah agama terpisah dari ilmu pengetahuan, sebagian yang lain meyakini agama dan ilmu pengatahuan menjadi satu dan tidak dapat terpisahkan. Artikel ini mencoba menjelaskan posisi agama dan ilmu pengetahuan dalam pandangan Ismail Raji Al Faruqi. Al Faruqi berasumsi bahwa ilmu pengetahuan modern memicu adanya perdebatan wahyu dan akal di kalangan umat muslim. Oleh karena itu, Al Faruqi berpendapat bahwa diperlukan sebuah konsep Islamisasi Ilmu pengetahuan yang bertumpuh pada kekuatan tauhid. Pengetahuan Islami selalu menitik beratkan keterpaduan kosmos, keterpaduan kebenaran dan ilmu pengetahuan serta kesatuan kehidupan. Dalam hal islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan Al Faruqi menawarkan landasan objek rencana kerja islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan sebagai berikut: 1) Menguasai disiplin ilmu pengetahuan modern, 2) Menguasai khazanah keislaman, 3) Menentukan relevansi Islam dan hubungannya pada tiap bidang ilmu pengetahuan modern, 4) Mencari metode untuk melakukan sintesis antara spesifikasi keislaman dengan ilmu pengetahuan modern, dan 5) membawa pemikiran Islam pada arah pemenuhan pola sunatullah/ketentuan Allah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan kembali gambaran strategi, sumber gagasan, Rasulullah dalam mensukseskan pelaksanaan proses pendidikan Islam. Penelitian deskriptif berdasarkan tinjauan literatur dengan membaca dan mempelajari bahan teoritis dari sumber yang berhubungan dengan penelitian. Dengan hadirnya Rasulullah maka terjadilah perubahan, perubahan yang terjadi bukan hanya pada perilaku manusia melainkan pada cara pandang dan sistem pendidikan yang dibawa oleh Rasulullahlm. Pelaksanaan pendidikan pada masa Rasulullah berdasarkan petunjuk dan bimbingan langsung dari Allah SWT. Pendidikan di Makkah menitikberatkan pada pembinaan akidah, akhlak serta tauhid kepada masyarakat Arab, sedangkan pendidikan di Madinah lebih menitikberatkan pada pembinaan Sosial dan politik. Dengan harapan pola pendidikan pada masa Rasulullah sebagai solusi untuk menghadapi pendidikan Islam saat ini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Harun Nasution's thoughts on Islamic education reform in Indonesia, examine the Islamic education reform concept proposed by Nurcholish Madjid, and compare the relevance and contributions of both thinkers to Islamic education in the modern era. This research is a literature study (library research) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through literature reviews including books, articles, scientific journals, and other sources relevant to the ideas of Harun Nasution and Nurcholish Madjid. A comparative approach was used to analyze the similarities and differences between the thoughts of the two figures. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify the main concepts and their implications for Islamic education in Indonesia. The results of this study show that Harun emphasized rationality in Islamic education by integrating religious and general knowledge, eliminating the dichotomy in education, and encouraging a more contextual theological reform. He believed that Islamic education should be responsive to the development of modern science. Nurcholish emphasized the importance of pluralism, modernization, and openness in Islamic education. He advocated for education that not only builds religious knowledge but also shapes moral character, tolerance, and openness to modern science. The conclusion of this research is that the ideas of both thinkers complement each other and are relevant for building an adaptive Islamic education system in response to changing times. Harun's focus is more on theological aspects and rationality, while Nurcholish focuses on pluralism and modernity. Both offer strategic solutions to integrate Islamic values with the demands of globalization.

Abstract

Abdurrahman Wahid, yang lebih dikenal sebagai Gus Dur, adalah tokoh muslim Indonesia yang lahir pada 7 September 1940 di Jombang, Jawa Timur. Pada masa Orde Baru, Gus Dur adalah salah satu kritikus utama rezim Soeharto. Dia memainkan peran penting dalam gerakan reformasi dan demokratisasi Indonesia. Pemikiran Gus Dur mengenai pendidikan Islam, yaitu pembelajaran haruslah membebaskan pemikiran manusia dari belenggu-belenggu tradisionalis yang kemudian ingin didaur ulang dengan melihat pemikiran kritis yang terlahir oleh Barat modern. Amin Rais adalah seorang politikus, intelektual, dan tokoh Islam Indonesia yang lahir pada 26 Juni 1944 di Sulawesi Selatan. Dia dikenal sebagai salah satu tokoh reformasi Indonesia dan memiliki peran penting dalam perubahan politik Indonesia pada era pasca-Orde Baru. Amin Rais menyuarakan pandangan bahwa pendidikan Islam di Indonesia harus menjadi sarana untuk membangun karakter yang kuat dan tangguh dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman. Baginya, pendidikan Islam harus mendorong kesadaran akan identitas keislaman yang kokoh dan kritis, serta mengembangkan kecerdasan spiritual dan intelektual yang seimbang.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what rules need to be understood in interpreting the Al-Qur'an. The research method used is literature review. The rules of interpretation are a mufassir's tool in understanding the meaning of the Qur'an. The rules of Tafsir are also closely related to the rules of the Arabic language which are one of the foundations for interpreting the Al-Qur'an. Therefore, mastery of linguistic rules is very necessary in interpreting the Al-Qur'an so that the meaning of the Al-Qur'an verses is not misinterpreted. There are several linguistic rules in interpreting the Qur'an that need to be carefully considered, including: Isim Dhamir, Nakirah and Ma'rifah, repetition of words, questions and answers, number of syartiyah. The linguistic rules in interpreting the Al-Qur'an mentioned above are concise rules that need to be mastered by a mufassir when wishing to interpret the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Abstract The interpretation of the Al-Qur'an is a scientific endeavor that requires a profound mastery of Arabic linguistic rules to accurately comprehend the messages of revelation. This study explores the linguistic principles underlying Al-Qur'an interpretation, including the use of pronouns (isim dhamir), the distinction between definite (ma’rifah) and indefinite (nakirah) nouns, singular (mufrad) and plural (jama’) forms, and the concept of synonyms that are often misunderstood. The research discusses the importance of understanding nouns (isim) and verbs (fi’il) in terms of time, attributes, and meaning. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed to analyze data from Al-Qur'an verses and tafsir literature. The findings reveal that mastery of linguistic principles not only enhances the accuracy of interpretation but also ensures the relevance of the Al-Qur'an message in modern contexts. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of Al-Qur'an exegesis, particularly in fostering a comprehensive and structured hermeneutics of the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the concept of Islamic education, and the contribution of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, so the author finds the shortcomings and strengths in Educational thinking according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. The research method used in this study is the Library Research method, which is a series of activities related to the method of collecting library information, reading and writing and processing research material. The data analysis technique that the author uses in this research is content analysis or what is often referred to as content analysis. This content analysis is used to compare one research with other research according to this article. It is a research that uses library sources from articles and journals to obtain research information. This research has a problem formulation including, How is the concept of Islamic education according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari? and How the contribution of KH. Abstract

This article explores the essence of knowledge from an Islamic perspective by highlighting key concepts such as ‘ilm (knowledge), ḥikmah (wisdom), and āyah (signs). Through a qualitative approach and literature review, this study examines how the Qur’an, along with classical and contemporary exegeses, interprets and integrates these concepts within the framework of Islamic epistemology. The findings indicate that knowledge in Islam encompasses not only rational and empirical aspects, but also spiritual and moral dimensions, positioning it as a means to attain well-being in both this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of human potentials from the perspective of the Qur’an, specifically those related to qalb, ‘aql, fu’ad, a’yun, and al-uzun. Understanding these potentials forms a crucial foundation in Islamic education, considering that human beings, as subjects of education, are endowed with innate capacities (fitrah) to develop both spiritually and intellectually. Using a literature review approach, this research identifies that each potential has a specific function that supports the perfection of human beings as khalifah (vicegerents) on earth. Qalb functions as the center of inner consciousness, ‘aql as the faculty of reasoning, fu’ad as the core of conviction and inner reflection, a’yun as the visual perception tool essential for learning, and al-uzun as the auditory receptor influencing understanding and internalization of knowledge. This study highlights the importance of developing these potentials within an integrated Islamic educational framework, aiming to nurture individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas kontribusi dan perkembangan pemikiran Hajjah Rangkayo Rasuna Said dalam bidang pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam konteks perjuangan emansipasi perempuan dan pembentukan masyarakat yang adil dan berilmu. Rasuna Said merupakan tokoh perempuan Muslim Indonesia yang tidak hanya dikenal sebagai pejuang kemerdekaan, tetapi juga sebagai pendidik, jurnalis, dan orator yang progresif dalam memaknai Islam sebagai agama pembebasan. Melalui lembaga pendidikan yang ia dirikan, tulisan-tulisannya yang kritis, serta kiprahnya dalam politik dan jurnalistik, Rasuna mempromosikan pendidikan sebagai sarana untuk mencerdaskan umat dan menghapus ketimpangan gender. Artikel ini mengkaji secara historis dan tematik pemikiran Rasuna Said, dengan menyoroti latar belakang pendidikan awalnya, perjuangan dalam ranah sosial-politik, gagasannya tentang kesetaraan gender dalam pendidikan Islam, serta warisan intelektualnya bagi perkembangan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemikiran Rasuna Said tetap relevan sebagai inspirasi dalam membangun sistem pendidikan Islam yang inklusif, adil, dan transformatif. Artikel ini juga menegaskan pentingnya merevitalisasi nilai-nilai perjuangan Rasuna dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan Islam kontemporer, terutama dalam konteks pengarusutamaan gender dan moderasi beragama.
