Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Canva-assisted mind mapping media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Pancasila Education at Cluster I Lembah Segar, Sawahlunto City. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of students caused by the monotonous use of instructional media, resulting in passive students who struggle to organize learning concepts independently. This study used a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design (nonequivalent control group design). The sample consisted of 21 students from SDN 03 Aur Tajungkang as the experimental class and 20 students from SDN 05 Kubang Sirakuk Bawah as the control class, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 15-item multiple-choice test administered as pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using N-Gain and Independent Sample T-Test via IBM SPSS Statistics 21. Results showed that the experimental class posttest mean (76.19) was higher than the control class (65.90). The experimental class N-Gain (0.53, moderate category) exceeded the control class (0.19, low category). Hypothesis testing yielded a significance value of 0.044 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Therefore, there is a significant effect of Canva-assisted mind mapping media on the Pancasila Education learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Cluster I Lembah Segar, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, particularly on the elements of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were teachers and 29 fifth-grade students of SDN 20 Indarung, Padang City in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation of teacher and student activities, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the study indicate that the application of the PBL model in learning the elements of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia is able to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. The quality of the teaching module increased from the good category to very good. Teacher and student activities also increased in each cycle. In addition, student learning outcomes showed a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II and have achieved the established completion criteria. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education learning in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes in Pancasila Education at SDN 20 Piai Padang are caused by teacher-centered learning and a lack of student collaboration. This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes through the Jigsaw cooperative model. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) follows the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles with four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through observation, tests, and non-tests. The results indicated that the quality of the teaching module increased from 83.3% (Cycle I) to 95.8% (Cycle II). Teacher activity improved from 81.2% to 87.5%, and student activity rose from 71.8% to 90.6%. The average student learning outcome significantly increased from 72.8 (Cycle I) to 88.5 (Cycle II). In conclusion, the Jigsaw model effectively enhances the quality of learning and students' academic achievement in elementary education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by low IPAS learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SDN 11 Padang Magek, Tanah Datar Regency. Only 18 of the 26 enrolled students achieved the KKTP minimal proficiency criteria, resulting in a class average of 74.5. The study's objectives were to assess the effectiveness of the Deep Learning Plan (RPM), outline the teaching methodology, and record improvements in student performance in IPAS using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach with Google Sites media assistance. A class instructor and 26 fifth-grade children participated in the study, which used a classroom action research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart framework over two cycles of three sessions. RPM evaluation rubrics, teacher and student activity observation checklists, LKPD evaluations, and written test results were used to collect data. RPM quality increased from 87.5% (Cycle I, Session 1) to 91.66% (Cycle I, Session 2) and 95.83% (Cycle II); teacher activity improved from 82.14% to 92.85% and 96.42%; student engagement followed the same trajectory; average LKPD scores increased from 64.6 to 73.6 and 80.8; and individual written exam averages increased from 55.4 to 67.3 and 79.6, with a mastery rate of 80.8% by Cycle II. With an overall mean score of 78.5, the final learning outcomes showed that 88.5% of students (23 out of 26) attained the KKTP. These findings confirm that the PBL paradigm combined with Google Sites media is a successful strategy for raising fifth-grade students' IPAS achievement at SDN 11 Padang Magek.
