Abstract

Independence as an element in the Pancasila student profile must be developed and possessed by every student to improve learning achievement. Learning independence is of course influenced by many factors. This research aims to analyze and determine the influence of learning motivation and self-efficacy on student learning independence. This research is a type of causal associative quantitative research. The research sample was 110 students in class VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Pancur Batu. Research data was collected using a research scale that was declared valid and reliable. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation on student learning independence, with a probability value of 0.000 <0.05; (2) there is a positive and significant influence of self-efficacy on student learning independence with a probability value of 0.000 <0.05; (3) there is a significant influence between learning motivation and self-efficacy on the learning independence of students at SMP Negeri 3 Pancur Batu. The assumption is that the higher the learning motivation and self-efficacy, the higher the student's learning independence, and the lower the learning motivation and the lower the self-efficacy, the lower the student's learning independence. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that the contribution or influence of learning motivation and self-efficacy simultaneously on student learning independence is 58.1%, while the remaining 41.9% can be explained by other variables outside the model or outside the variables proposed in the research.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of the relationship between interpersonal communication and student engagement in shaping learning motivation. A quantitative research method was employed to analyze the data. In this study, the sample consisted of 190 participants. The results show that interpersonal communication has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. This is indicated by a coefficient value of 0.653, a t-statistic of 7.889 (> 1.653), and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Interpersonal communication also has a positive and significant effect on student engagement, as shown by a coefficient value of 0.650, a t-statistic of 9.077 (> 1.653), and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Student engagement, in turn, has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. With a coefficient of 0.662, a t-statistic of 9.502 (> 1.653), and a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), it is evident that student involvement in the learning process plays an important role in enhancing learning motivation. Active student engagement enables learners to feel a stronger sense of purpose and drive in their academic pursuits. Furthermore, student engagement partially mediates the effect of interpersonal communication on learning motivation. The direct effect of interpersonal communication on learning motivation is greater (58.4%) compared to the indirect effect through student engagement (43.1%). This indicates that although student engagement serves as a mediator, the direct influence of interpersonal communication remains dominant.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and test empirically To determine whether the role of Self-compassion mediation in the influence of family support on emotional intelligence in students This study uses a quantitative method, with a population of 389 and a sample of 389. The sampling technique used is the total sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is structural equation modeling (SEM). After testing the hypothesis, the results obtained Family support has an effect on Emotional Intelligence, with a path coefficient value of 0.623, and significant, with a p value <0.001. Furthermore, family support has an effect on Self-compassion, with a path coefficient value of 1.133, and significant, with a p value <0.001. then, self-compassion has an effect on Emotional Intelligence, with a path coefficient value of 0.358, and is significant, with a p value <0.001. The indirect effect of family support on Emotional Intelligence, through self-compassion is 0.462. It is known that self-compassion significantly mediates the effect between family support and Emotional Intelligence.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the SALAM learning model in enhancing teachers' subjective well-being (SWB). The SALAM model, consisting of five steps (Teaching Enthusiasm, Asking Questions About Feelings, Actively Engaging Students, Analyzing the Learning Process, and Monitoring Learning Outcomes through Reflection), is designed to facilitate teachers' roles as learning leaders. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a cluster randomized pretest and posttest control group design. The results showed that the SALAM model training significantly improved teachers' subjective well-being, with an alpha value of 0.03. The experimental group scored higher (3.00) compared to the control group (0.90). Teachers' subjective well-being includes improvements in job satisfaction, teaching efficacy, and school connectedness through positive collaboration. The SALAM learning model simplifies teachers' tasks in leading classroom learning and enhances their professional competence. Increased teaching skills positively affect teachers' confidence in teaching, ultimately boosting their subjective well-being. The study's implications indicate that implementing the SALAM model in teacher training programs can improve teaching quality and teaching happiness. Further research is needed to evaluate the sustainability of the intervention's effects over the long term.

Abstract

Adolescence is a stage that is vulnerable to psychological pressure, making it crucial to identify internal factors that can enhance subjective well-being. This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy on subjective well-being, mediated by resilience in senior high school students. A quantitative approach was employed. Participants consisted of 449 students selected through cluster random sampling. The instruments used included the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES-12), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the Brief Adolescent Subjective Well-Being in School Scale (BASWBSS). Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS software. The results revealed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on both resilience and subjective well-being. Resilience also positively influenced subjective well-being and significantly mediated the relationship between self-efficacy and subjective well-being. These findings highlight that enhancing students’ self-efficacy can strengthen their resilience, which ultimately contributes to improved subjective well-being. The implications of this study underscore the importance of fostering self-efficacy and resilience as key components in efforts to promote psychological well-being among high school students.

Abstract

This associative quantitative research aims to determine the influence of self-efficacy and social support on the resilience of students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and interviews, with analysis using multiple linear regression and coefficient of determination using SPSS 27. The research population was 177 students majoring in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, and the sample used was 123 people using the Slovin method. The test results show that simultaneously, self-efficacy and social support influence resilience, with Fcount > Ftable (78.403 > 3.92). The partial test shows that self-efficacy (X1) has a significant effect on resilience (Y), with a value of tcount > ttable (10.695 > 1.657), while social support (X2) has no significant effect, because tcount < ttable (0.388 < 1.657). The significance value for self-efficacy < 0.05 and social support > 0.05. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that 56.6% of the variance in resilience can be explained by self-efficacy and social support, while 44.4% is explained by other factors not studied. Thus, self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on resilience, while social support does not show a significant effect

Abstract

This study aims to compare work conflicts between baby boomers and millennial employees at PT. Pelindo Persero Regional 1 Belawan Branch. Work conflict is a mismatch between individuals in the company that involves differences in opinions, values, goals, and competition for positions and power in achieving organizational goals. This research method is quantitative with all employees of PT. Pelindo Persero Regional 1 Belawan Branch (60 people) as population and sample. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection using Work Conflict Scale with Likert scale model. Data analysis was performed with Anova test and reliability using Cronbach alpha coefficient. The results of the analysis showed the significance of the coefficient of difference in work conflict of 329.874 (p 0.05), which indicates a high level of work conflict in both generations. Thus, the hypothesis was accepted, suggesting the existence of differences in labor conflicts between the two generations.
