Abstract

This study explores the pedagogical transformation driven by digital education technologies in Indonesian State Senior High Schools, particularly in Pamekasan Regency. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis from 15 teachers and 20 students. Thematic analysis was used to identify core patterns and themes. Results reveal significant shifts in the teaching and learning paradigm, where digital tools such as Google Classroom and Zoom enable more flexible, accessible, and student-centered learning. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, digital skill gaps, and reduced face-to-face interaction persist. The role of educators is evolving from knowledge transmitters to facilitators. Successful implementation of digital education requires robust infrastructure, sustained teacher training, and inclusive policies. Policymakers should prioritize equitable access to digital tools and upskilling programs for educators. Future research should expand geographically and adopt mixed methods to improve generalizability.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum aims to maximize 21st-century skills, particularly in enhancing students’ critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Critical thinking is the effort to prove the truth of knowledge based on facts. Collaboration skills are social skills that involve exchanging ideas, opinions, or concepts with others to reach solutions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based collaborative learning model on students’ critical thinking and collaborative skills in geometric transformation material. This study used a quasi-experimental type with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 ninth-grade students at a private junior high school in Surabaya, divided into two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques included questions that tested critical thinking skills and collaborative skills questionnaires. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study proved that (1) the problem-based collaborative learning model was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills with an average n-gain score of 79.3%, and (2) the problem-based collaborative learning model was quite effective in improving collaborative skills with an average n-gain score of 72.3%.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Minecraft: Education Edition on students' conceptual understanding and collaboration in Social and Natural Sciences (IPAS) learning. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was used, involving 48 sixth-grade students from SDN Srambah. The sample was divided into an experimental group (Class VI A, 24 students) using Minecraft: Education Edition, and a control group (Class VI B, 24 students) receiving conventional instruction, selected through purposive sampling. Instruments included a conceptual understanding test and a collaboration questionnaire. Descriptive statistics showed a greater increase in the experimental group’s scores. Data met assumptions for parametric testing based on normality and homogeneity tests. MANOVA results indicated a significant effect of learning media on both outcomes (p < 0.001). Further tests of Between-Subjects Effects revealed that the learning method accounted for 91.9% of the variance in conceptual understanding and 94.8% in collaboration. These results suggest that Minecraft: Education Edition is more effective than traditional methods in enhancing both cognitive and collaborative skills. The findings support constructivist learning theory, highlighting the benefits of interactive, student-centered environments in fostering active engagement and meaningful learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTClassroom Action Research (PTK) is research that aims to identify learning problems in the classroom so that appropriate solutions are obtained to realize effective learning. PTK has now become a requirement for teacher professional development. However, teachers at SDN Kedungcowek are less capable in making PTK. This prompted the community service team to hold PTK training for teachers at the school. This training consists of three stages, the first stage is planning, at this stage the community service team coordinates with partners, the second stage carries out training, and the third stage, reflection. At this stage, the community service team measures participants' understanding of the training provided. As a result, most participants had a moderate understanding of the PTK training provided by the community service team. This is shown by the majority of teachers choosing a score of 3 for each indicator on the questionnaire distributed after the training.
