Abstract

Blended learning facilitates learning by providing various learning resources and considering the characteristics of learners. This study aims to conduct a needs analysis for the development of blended learning in instructor training at Basarnas. Needs analysis is carried out to explore information about gaps and needs as well as student profiles that can be used as a basis or reference in developing blended learning at the next stage. This research is a descriptive study with quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires. Interviews were conducted with the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Planning and Standardization of Basarnas Personnel, while the filling of the questionnaire was carried out by the Basarnas Rescuer who will attend instructor training as many as 50 respondents. The results show that instructor training at Basarnas can be designed in the form of blended learning by using a project-based learning approach to overcome existing limitations or gaps so that the implementation of blended learning that combines the delivery of face-to-face learning and online learning can be an intervention that is suitable to be applied and appropriate. with the needs at Basarnas.

Abstract

The main factor of air pollution in Indonesia is motorized vehicles. Motorized vehicles operating on the road will produce exhaust gas emissions which result in air pollution. In overcoming exhaust gas emissions in vehicles, the Ministry of Transportation conducts training for exhaust emission inspection, and conducts training at one of the technical implementation units, namely the Indonesian Land Transportation Polytechnic (PTDI) STTD. The purpose of this study was to conduct a needs analysis to develop a hyper content learning module for training on exhaust emission examinations, using the R&D (research and Development) method using the Derek Rowntree model. The hyper content module is a module that combines hypertext, hyperlinks, and hypermedia, and the media used in the form of video, QR code, YouTube, and cloud computing. With the development of the hyper content module, it is possible to improve the understanding and learning outcomes of training participants in studying exhaust emissions from vehicles when compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

The development of Industry 4.0, the rapid advancement of science and technology demands many changes from various human lives. In this era, there were also many positive and negative impacts, but they did not protect themselves, especially teenagers, with potential high school characters, their behavior distorted moral and moral decadence among teenagers. To be able to adapt to these changes make education as a spearhead and a powerful antidote especially character education. This research is development (R&D). In this research purpose to develop a character education learning module contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach of PKn subject. This research method refers to the development model of Derek Rowntree and Dick &Carry. The development procedure through three stages, the first stage uses Dick & Carry model until the seventh step is selecting and developing. In the second and third stages using Derek Rowntree model. Review process through reviews of media expert and instructional design expert and reviews of media and language experts. To the target, a one-to-one test was conducted, small group test and field test. Evaluation is carried out until summative evaluation with calculations N-Gain Score to measure the level of effectiveness. The result of effectiveness state that the student character learning module in PKn subject is effective in used.

Abstract

Collaboration among health professions in controlling the spread of various infectious diseases is crucial for tracking and responding to zoonotic threats. The limited training that can be attended openly and massively to reduce cases of zoonotic diseases remains an unresolved issue. MOOC for One Health Basic Training is here to provide a solution to this problem. This research aims to describe the implementation of MOOC for One Health basic training, conducted for the first time in Indonesia. This research makes an important contribution by applying practical experience in training the One Health approach using the latest technology. 539 participants have registered, with a completion rate of 81%. Most participants are women from primary health care (puskesmas). Positive feedback was obtained with 94.6% of participants agreeing and strongly agreeing that they had a satisfying learning experience. By providing open and free learning, MOOC have met educational needs. Learning from the progress of online learning will help healthcare workers who are busy with their daily targets at work. This research shows that MOOC receive a positive response and can be applied in training in the health sector.

Abstract

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) have become a flexible learning solution that is widely accessible. Drop Out is still a problem in MOOC learning. Many factors cause participants to choose not to continue their studies in MOOC, including limited study time and high workloads. The meaning of presence in online learning is often overlooked, even though it plays an important role in enhancing participant engagement and success. This study aims to describe the needs of MOOC participants for the meaning of presence in online learning, inspired by the community of inquiry framework. The survey was conducted with 150 graduates of Zoonoses Control Training. Data processing was conducted using Microsoft Excel to analyze the response patterns of participants. The research results show that the majority of participants responded positively to the meaning of presence in MOOC. Participants strongly agree that the cognitive presence, social presence, and teaching presence is needed in MOOC learning. These findings make an important contribution to the development of higher-quality MOOC by emphasizing the importance of creating a more inclusive and interactive learning environment. By understanding the meaning of presence in MOOC, course designers can create more engaging learning experiences and reduce dropout rates, thereby ensuring that online learning is more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

This study uses a type of research & development method or in English (Research and Development) terms. The development model in the study uses the Borg and Gall model, where this model comes from the results of thought, is still a concept that is empirically tested and its implementation organized from planning, implementation to evaluation of the results. The purpose of this study is to produce a product that is a picture story book about emotional intelligence that meets the criteria of feasibility aspects. Emotional intelligence should begin to be developed as early as possible because it can make children have high enthusiasm in learning or liked by their friends in the playground. The development of this illustrated storybook uses components or dimensions of emotional intelligence from Daniel Goleman. There are 5 dimensions that will be used for 5 themes in illustrated storybooks namely self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills. The form of the book that will be created with hard cover and will be dominated by images. The goal of developing this storybook media is aimed at lower primary school students, which are around the ages of 6 to 9 years.

Abstract

Case-based learning is one of the interactive learning methods that uses real case scenarios or simulations to involve students in the active learning process. This study aims to map and analyze publication trends related to using case-based learning (CBL) in online health education from 2014–2024. This study focuses on publication trends and author collaborations without directly assessing the effectiveness of CBL. Using bibliometric analysis methods on data taken from the Scopus database, this study analyzes the frequency of publications, emerging topics, and collaboration networks between authors, with tools such as VOSviewer for visualization of collaboration maps and topic trends. The results show that publications on CBL have increased significantly since 2018, with a peak occurring between 2020 and 2023. This increase is closely related to changes in education policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, which have encouraged the adoption of interactive methods in distance learning, especially in the health sector. In addition, integrating educational technologies such as digital simulation platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) has strengthened the adoption of CBL in online environments. This study also found a collaboration network between authors with Al-Omran Mohammed as a central figure in international collaboration. These findings provide implications for educators, institutions, and policymakers to expand the application of CBL methods and train educators in designing effective case-based curricula.
