Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CIPP model in evaluating science learning in students in the 4.0 revolution era. This research is a type of quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. The inclusion criteria in this study are 1) the research was published in 2022-2024; 2) research must be indexed by the Science Technology Index (SINTA) or Scopus; 3) research was obtained through the Google Scholar, Mendeley, and ERIC databases; 4) The research must be relevant and report complete data to calculate the effect size value—data analysis through statistical analysis with the help of JSAP applications. The analysis results of 20 publications obtained a summary effect size value ( d = 0.861; p < 0.001). Effect size is included in the category of very high effect size.  These findings conclude that using the CIPP model has a positive effect on the evaluation of science learning in students compared to other evaluation models. No publication bias was found in this meta-analysis study, so it can be scientifically accounted for.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of case-based learning (CBL) on enhancing collaboration and communication skills among early childhood education (ECE) students. A meta-analysis was conducted using 25 effect sizes from studies published between 2022 and 2024, involving 1,056 participants and sourced from databases such as ERIC, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Wiley. The JSAP application facilitated statistical analysis. Results indicate that CBL significantly outperforms conventional learning methods in fostering collaboration and communication, evidenced by a high summary effect size of 1.013. CBL offers an interactive, student-centered approach that places students in real-life scenarios, encouraging active participation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Through intensive group discussions and collaborative activities, students learn to articulate ideas, respect diverse perspectives, and engage constructively in group settings. These findings underscore CBL’s potential as an effective pedagogical approach for developing essential interpersonal skills in ECE, which are critical for students' professional preparedness. Future studies should consider longitudinal impacts and cross-cultural contexts to validate these outcomes further.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the role playing model with an ethno-pedagogical approach to early childhood language and reading skills. This study is a meta-analysis study. The inclusion criteria in this study are 1) the research must be relevant; 2) data is obtained from national or international journals indexed by SINTA or Scopus; 3) the study was published in the 2022-2024 time frame; and 4) the study must report complete data to calculate the effect size value. Analyze data with the help of JASP and Microsoft Excel applications. The results concluded that the 19 studies analyzed showed that the ethno-pedagogy-based role playing model had a significant influence on early childhood language and reading skills with a score of (g= 0.895; 95% CI 0.706-1.084; P < 0.001) high effect size category.  These findings explain that the ethno-pedagogical role playing model effectively improves early childhood language and writing skills in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies are increasingly being integrated into areas such as entertainment, education, and training, offering immersive and interactive experiences that can enhance learning and student engagement. This research aims to develop a more effective evaluation method in education and training using VR and AR technology compared to traditional methods. Using the PRISMA method, this research collects and analyzes articles from various reputable international databases. The research results show that VR and AR have great potential to improve student engagement and learning outcomes, but their successful implementation depends on the development of adaptive evaluation methods. This research provides practical guidance for the effective implementation of VR and AR in education and training and contributes to new literature in the field of educational technology.

Abstract

The process of learning activities currently follows technological developments, one of which is learning via the internet. One effort to overcome students' passive attitude is to increase students' involvement in learning through the use of learning media. There are many learning media that can be used in the learning process, especially in science subjects. This includes images, videos and animated media and can use existing school infrastructure to provide these media. One of them is the use of social media-based learning media. Instagram social media is very suitable as an online learning medium because Instagram is very easy to use and is an application that is familiar to the millennial generation. The use of Instagram as a learning medium has emerged as an alternative solution in improving the quality of learning in the current digital era. Instagram social media is very fast in conveying information and easy to access by students. Using Instagram as a learning medium can also increase student participation in learning activities. With more intense interaction and attractive visuals, students will be more motivated to learn.

Abstract

Improving the quality of higher education requires the effective, integrated, and measurable management and analysis of students’ academic data. However, many higher education institutions still face challenges in collecting, integrating, and analyzing academic data efficiently. Consequently, the monitoring of academic performance has not yet been conducted in a standardized manner and has not fully supported the achievement of additional performance indicators. In this context, the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) is highly relevant, as it provides a systematic platform for managing students’ academic performance data and presenting it through informative visualizations. This study aims to implement a Business Intelligence system using Power BI architecture to integrate and manage students’ academic performance data obtained from various academic sources. The data used in this study consisted of 80 student records, including grades, semester grade point average, cumulative grade point average, academic status, study program, and cohort year for the 2023 - 2024 period. The data integration process was carried out through the stages of extraction, transformation, and loading into the Power BI model. The implementation results show that the system was able to process 98% of the available academic data and generate three interactive dashboards, including visualizations of GPA trends, student attendance distribution, and student grade distribution. Based on the testing results, the use of the Power BI dashboard improved the efficiency of the academic reporting process from three days to one hour, representing an increase of 93.1%. In addition, the level of conformity between the information displayed on the dashboard and the source data achieved an accuracy of 97.5%, indicating that the system can support information validity in the academic decision-making process. The implementation of Business Intelligence contributes to improving academic data management, accelerating the monitoring of student achievement, assisting stakeholders in interpreting data more effectively, and supporting the enhancement of academic service quality and higher education performance evaluation.
