Abstract

Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan bertugas menyelenggarakan proses pendidikan dan proses belajar mengajar dalam usaha untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Dalam hal ini kepala sekolah sebagai seseorang yang diberi tugas untuk memimpin sekolah, kepala sekolah bertanggung jawab Pertamatercapainya tujuan sekolah. Kepala sekolah diharapkan menjadi pemimpin dari inovator di sekolah. Oleh sebab itu, kualitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah adalah signifikan bagi keberhasilan sekolah. Kepala sekolah perlu memiliki kemampuan untuk memberdayakan seluruh sumber daya manusia yang ada untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah. Khusus berkaitan dengan guru kepala sekolah harus memiliki kemampuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru, melalui pemberdayaan sumber daya manusia (guru). Arifin (2005:88). Usman (2008: 50) mendefinisikan guru profesional adalah orang yang memiliki kemampuan dan keahlian khusus dalam bidang keguruan sehingga ia mampu melakukan tugas dan fungsinya sebagai guru dengan kemampuan maksimal. Pendapat lain dikemukakan oleh Sholeh (2007: 45), mengungkapkan bahwa dalam proses pendidikan, guru tidak hanya menjalankan fungsi alih ilmu pengetahuan (transfer of knowledge), tapi juga berfungsi untuk menanamkan nilai (values) serta membangun karakter (character building) peserta didik secara berkelanjutan. Dalam terminologi Islam, guru diistilahkan dengan murabby, satu akar kata dengan rabb yang berarti Tuhan. Jadi, fungsi dan peran guru dalam sistem pendidikan merupakan salah satu manifestasi dari sifat ketuhanan. Demikian mulianya posisi guru, sampai-sampai Tuhan, dalam pengertian sebagai rabb mengidentifikasi diri-Nya sebagai rabbul.alamin Sang Maha Guru., Guru seluruh jagad raya. Untuk itu, kewajiban pertama yang dibebankan setiap hamba sebagai murid Sang Maha Guru adalah belajar dan mencari ilmu pengetahuan. Setelah itu, setiap orang yang telah mempunyai ilmu pengetahuan memiliki kewajiban untuk mengajarkannya kepada orang lain. Dengan demikian, profesi mengajar adalah sebuah kewajiban yang merupakan manifestasi dari ibadah. Sebagai konsekuensinya, barang siapa yang menyembunyikan sebuah pengetahuan maka ia telah melangkahkan kaki menuju jurang api neraka. Secara konseptual, unjuk kerja guru menurut Johson (2009: 48), mencakup tiga aspek, yaitu; (a) kemampuan profesional, (b) kemampuan sosial, dan (c) kemampuan personal (pribadi). Menyadari akan pentingnya profesionalisme dalam pendidikan, maka Tafsir (2010: 22) mendefinisikan profesionalisme adalah paham yang mengajarkan bahwa setiap pekerjaan harus dilakukan oleh orang yang profesional. Akan tetapi melihat realita yang ada, keberadaan guru profesional sangat jauh dari apa yang dicita-citakan. Melalui penelitian awal yang peneliti lakukan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Langsa, ada beberapa fenomena atau permasalahan yang dapat peneliti amati diantaranya guru yang ada pada dasarnya belum sepenuhnya bisa dikatakan kategori guru professional serta kontribusi untuk siswa menjadi kurang terperhatikan bahkan terabaikan. Masalah lain yang ditemukan penulis adalah, masih ada guru yang terlambat dan pulang terlalu cepat, kualifikasi jenjang pendidikan guru untuk mengajar yang tidak sesuai dengan keahliannya. Sehingga yang menjadi imbasnya adalah siswa sebagai anak didik tidak mendapatkan hasil pembelajaran yang maksimal. Padahal siswa ini adalah sasaran pendidikan yang dibentuk melalui bimbingan, keteladanan, bantuan, latihan, pengetahuan yang maksimal, kecakapan, keterampilan, nilai, sikap yang baik dari seorang guru. Maka hanya dengan seorang guru profesional hal tersebut dapat terwujud secara utuh, sehingga akan menciptakan kondisi yang menimbulkan kesadaran dan keseriusan dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dengan demikian, apa yang disampaikan seorang guru akan berpengaruh terhadap hasil pembelajaran. Sebaliknya, jika hal di Pertamatidak terealisasi dengan baik, maka akan berakibat ketidak puasan siswa dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar

Abstract

This research aims to describe what are the challenges of how the internalization the values of love for motherland in the lower grades in elementary school. The background of this study is the phenomenon of decadence of the love for motherland character in Class III.A SDN 2 Kebun Lama, Langsa, Aceh. This research presents a portrait of school policies and how teachers cultivate the love for motherland character in children's attitudes. This research is using a qualitative descriptive approach. Informants were determined by purposive sampling techniques, namely the principal, class teacher, school guard, and students. Data were collected through observation supplemented by interviews and documentation studies. Then the data is tested using triangulation techniques, that is, the data is tested on the same source but with different techniques. The same and different data were found, so the data were tested on different sources. The data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of this research are the love for motherland characters in Class III.A SDN Kebun Lama, Langsa has been implemented. However, the results have not been seen optimally as can be seen in student activities at school. Then the implementation of the love for motherland character is also hampered due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

A single-character education acts as a form of learning that refers to the development and strengthening of children's behaviour as a whole, which is based on a certain value or moral referred to by the school. Therefore, character education is one of the efforts that can be done. One of the character education is through the Pancasila Student Profile. The Pancasila Student Profile has been used as one of the visions and missions of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This study aims to find out related to the implementation of strengthening the value of character education in realising the profile of Pancasila students' independent, critical reasoning, noble character, creativity, global diversity and cooperation. Then to find out the school's efforts in the process of strengthening character education based on local wisdom in instilling religious character, independence and integrity. The methods used in the research descriptive methods are qualitative. The results of this study show a lack of knowledge in the development of education regarding the profile of Pancasila students, and the implementation of strengthening character education has been carried out, such as instilling religious character, independence and integrity. The conclusion of this study has a positive impact on schools in knowing the profile of Pancasila students, and instilling character education has a positive impact on students who are included in local wisdom carried out in the learning process at school.

Abstract

The Port of Kuala Langsa in 1920 had a great opportunity for economic development during the Social Pacificization period, in addition to the interests of the Netherlands and the people of the east coast. trade routes: Asia and Europe. This port is supported by land transportation. Atjeh Tram Langsa supplies goods from the north coast straight to the port of Kuala. Atjeh Tram Tamiang took part in supplying rubber and palm oil commodities to the port of Kuala during the Dutch era for export-import trade abroad. Between 1916 and 1930, the export of traditional crops such as betel nut, 942,591 tons of pepper, and 8,300 tons of rice were to Penang. Modern (1925–1935) rubber plants (183,550 tons) and palm (9,819,047 tons) were exported to Europe. During the Japanese occupation (1942–1945), Kuala Port's exports and imports decreased drastically. After Indonesia's independence, in 1987, the port of Kuala resumed operations in the non-oil and gas sector, with exports of Ply wood of 4,216,402 tons and grumb rubber of 1,839,600 tons from PT. Gruti Bayeun Aceh Timur. Charcoal wood exports 5,534,000 tons to Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan from Bayeun, Sei Pauh, and Sei Yu. Import types of goods: Phenol (7159 tons) and methanol (7159 tons). Between 1987 and 2002, at the port of Kuala, other goods were imported: cars, motorcycles, and drugs. In 2003–2007, they were again imported from Singapore and Malaysia: 9,206 tons of methanol, 6,384 tons of minerals, and 9,396 tons of basic necessities. In 2008–2018, Kuala Port still existed as a trade center in the economic sector of the Langsa City government with Asia based on the interests and economic growth of the community. The aims of this study were (1) to examine the pioneering of Kuala Langsa port as a maritime port on the east coast of Aceh; (2) the educational passification policy and Kuala Langsa port; (3) to find out the study of Kuala Langsa port facilities and infrastructure and its development in the east coast area; (4) to examine the role of the Kuala Langsa port in the export-import trade sector; and (5) to examine the impact of the Kuala Langsa port as the center of the government's economic area based on the people's economic interests. This study uses a critical historical method, the substance of which excludes inauthentic material and concludes that testimony that can be trusted from original material The critical historical method consists of four steps in the research process: collecting sources (heuristics); primary, secondary, and tertiary; criticizing sources, both internal and external; interpreting facts obtained from these sources; historiography; reconstructing existing facts and interpreting them in the form of historical writings; and critically synthesizing facts. The results of research on the Kuala Langsa port since the days of the Dutch, Japanese, and Indonesian governments were made as an international and transit port until it received international status in 2019. The conclusion is that the Kuala Langsa port has succeeded in contributing to the community and the government in the export sector of community and private government-owned plantation products.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dipicu oleh kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan guru SMP dalam merancang serta menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Misi dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru SMP dalam merancang serta menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di SMPN 6 Kota Langsa dengan melibatkan 30 guru. Kegiatan tersebut mencakup penyelenggaraan seminar dan pelatihan bagi para guru. Hasil dari upaya ini mencatatkan skor rata-rata pemahaman guru tentang kurikulum merdeka sebesar 86,37, skor rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk siswa SMP sebesar 83,47, serta skor rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi khusus untuk jenjang SMP sebesar 81,93. Fakta ini menegaskan bahwa para guru telah berhasil mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sejajar dengan kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka masih belum seluruhnya dapat diimplementasikan dan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajaran digital masih sangat minim. Untuk itu dikembangkan website terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengimplementasi kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan PKM untuk memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan kompetensi guru dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka melalui pemanfaatan inovasi website terintegrasi bagi guru di Kota Langsa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan utama yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pasca pelaksanaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka seperti penerapan prinsip pembelajaran Ki Hajar Dewantara, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, dan pembelajaran berdiferensisasi. Tim pengabdian juga menyebarkan angket kepuasan. Hasil angket kepuasan responden diperoleh 90% guru puas dalam pelatihan. Kesimpulan dari PKM yakni kegiatan terlaksana sesuai harapan dimana guru memperoleh peningkatan pemahaman terkait implementasi kurikulum merdeka melalui website terintegrasi yang dikembangkan. The independent curriculum is still not fully implemented, and teacher competence in digital learning is still very minimal. For this reason, an integrated website was developed to increase teacher competency in implementing the independent curriculum. Community service aims to provide guidance and competency training for teachers in implementing the independent curriculum through integrated website innovation for teachers in Langsa City. Activities are carried out in three main stages: preparation, implementation, and post-implementation. The service results show increased teacher understanding in implementing the independent curriculum, such as applying Ki Hajar Dewantara's learning principles, using digital-based learning media, and using differentiated learning. The service team also distributed satisfaction questionnaires. The results of the respondent satisfaction questionnaire showed that 90% of teachers were satisfied with the training. The conclusion from community service activities is that the activities were carried out according to expectations where teachers gained increased understanding regarding implementing the independent curriculum through the developed integrated website.

Abstract

The importance of implementing a hybrid learning model that combines face-to-face teaching with online computer-assisted teaching to create an integrated learning approach and student learning independence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of hybrid and independent learning on student learning outcomes in European History courses. This study adopts a quantitative method and a quasi-experimental design. In collecting data the researchers used multiple-choice test techniques and questionnaires to examine students’ learning independence. The data analysis technique used is the Two-way ANOVA statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student history learning outcomes for European history courses with "moderate" criteria with a score of 0.54 (0.3 N-Gain ≤0.7) after the implementation of hybrid learning. Hybrid learning has an effect on student learning outcomes in history education with a sig model value of 0.002, where the value is less than 0.05 (0.002 0.05). Independent learning has an impact on student learning outcomes with a sig questionnaire value of 0.042 where the value is less than 0.05 (0.042 0.05). In conclusion, in European history courses offered the learning model and learning independence has an impact on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the inheritance of peace values based on indigenous knowledge in the community in Langsa after the Aceh conflict. Conflict causes damage to tolerance, respect for all forms of difference, and social capital due to disruption of the inheritance of values. If these problems are not addressed immediately, there is a risk of creating new patterns of conflict in the future. This study was conducted with a phenomenological qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, while the data processing steps are data reduction, data display, and conclusions and data verification. This study found that indigenous knowledge framed in Islamic law was effective in transmitting the values of peace in post-conflict Aceh. The inheritance of the value of peace by using local resources can lead the community to values that maintain unity and tolerance. Utilizing local resources in passing on the value of post-conflict peace can maintain a peaceful situation and early detection of social conflicts.

Abstract

Indonesia, disasters frequently occur, so a good understanding of disaster mitigation is needed. Researchers have developed a learning innovation in previous research to increase students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This innovation is in the form of community-based web-learning. This web learning has been declared suitable for use. Further studies are needed to determine the impact on students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This research aims to analyze the effect of community-based web-learning on higher education students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This research uses a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control-group design. The research sample consisted of 200 university students. Students' understanding of disaster mitigation is measured using an essay test. The data analysis process uses the SPSS 26 application, including descriptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent t-tests. The research results found a significant difference in the average understanding of disaster mitigation for university students who studied using community-based web-learning media and those who studied using conventional learning models. Students who use web-based learning have a higher average than those who study in conventional classes. This result proves that community-based web learning can increase higher education students' understanding of disaster mitigation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for efforts to teach disaster principles to elementary school students, so a scientific foundation is needed regarding disaster education models for elementary school students. This qualitative descriptive research describes elementary school teachers' perceptions of the disaster education model for elementary school students. The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling technique. Data was obtained through questionnaires and interviews with 30 elementary school teachers from different schools. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The data validity process is carried out using triangulation techniques. The research results show that the teacher's perception of aspects of the teaching material is in the poor category, the teacher's perception of the learning interaction aspect is in the poor category, the teacher's perception of elements of the learning environment is in the poor category, and the teacher's perception of the learning model aspect is in the poor category. This result shows that teachers need a better perception of the disaster education process for elementary school students. The findings of this research can be used as a basis for developing appropriate disaster education processes for elementary school students.
