Abstract

This study examines the disparity in Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) levels among high school teachers, distinguishing between rural and urban settings within two regions on the Aceh East Coast, specifically Langsa City and Aceh Tamiang Regency. The research encompasses 560 teachers from both private and public high schools in Langsa City, an urban area, and Aceh Tamiang Regency, a rural area. Data is acquired through the test and questionnaire to capture teachers' TPACK levels. The data analysis used in this research is Global Moran's I and Anselin Local Moran's I to visualize patterns and disparities in teachers' TPACK levels. The research results reveal a significant disparity between urban (Langsa City) and rural (Aceh Tamiang Regency) areas. Langsa City has a random TPACK distribution pattern (Global Moran's I Index = 0,02438), while Aceh Tamiang Regency has a clustered pattern (Global Moran's I Index = 0,17018). This indicates that Aceh Tamiang Regency has higher disparities among high school teachers in TPACK levels compared to Langsa City. Then, Langsa City has better equality in the quality of high school teachers. Furthermore, analysis from Anselin's Local Moran's I reveals a concentration of teachers with the highest TPACK levels in the municipal district and teachers with low TPACK levels in the peripheral area. It can be found in both regions' hot and cold spots. Received: 2024-06-13  Revised: 2024-07-03 Accepted: 2025-06-26 Published: 2025-07-30

Abstract

Kuala Langsa has a large tourism potential to be developed, however, the lack of understanding of ecotourism regulations by stakeholders can hamper the development of the area into a mangrove ecotourism area that is following the principles of development. This paper discusses the role of the qanun in the development of mangrove ecotourism in Kuala Langsa, Aceh. The type of legal research used in this paper is a normative research method, then analyzed using a qualitative approach, with different analysis methods. The results of this paper indicate that in optimizing the development of coastal areas it is necessary to strengthen and explore Qanun and policies that have been regulated by the government. The development and management of tourism areas have been regulated in Aceh Qanun No. 8 of 2013 concerning Tourism. However, the regulation has not been running optimally due to the low understanding of the community regarding the tourism Qanun even though it is intended to provide legal legality for each stakeholder to be able to increase their capacity.

Abstract

This research focuses on creating a learning media product that utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) for teaching IPAS, particularly aimed at fifth-grade students in Social Studies. The study was conducted to evaluate the validation from experts in media, subject matter, and student testing, as well as to assess the practicality and effectiveness of student learning outcomes after engaging with the AR-based learning media. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, this study follows the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, documentation, and validation questionnaires for experts, as well as response questionnaires for teachers and students. The validation results from media experts showed a percentage of 97.14% with a "highly feasible" criterion, material experts obtained a percentage of 92.5% with a "highly feasible" criterion, and test experts achieved 100% with a "highly feasible" criterion. The practicality results from teacher and student response questionnaires indicated that teachers gave a response percentage of 100% with a "highly practical" criterion, while students' responses reached 93.34% with a "highly practical" criterion. Furthermore, student learning outcomes were measured using Normality Test (N-Gain), resulting in a score of 73.58% with an "effective" criterion. Based on the assessment results, it can be concluded that the AR-based learning media for IPAS learning in fifth grade is highly feasible for use in education. Future researchers are advised to conduct field trials, measure the effectiveness of teaching materials, and further develop AR-based learning media for various subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research aims to develop a product of teaching materials based on Liveworksheets for learning science, particularly social studies materials for grade V elementary school students. This study was conducted to evaluate the validity of the teaching materials through validation assessments from material experts, language experts, and teaching material experts, as well as to assess their practicality. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach, employing the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collection methods include observation, interviews, documentation, and validation questionnaires for experts, along with response questionnaires for teachers and students. The validation results from material experts showed a percentage of 88% in the "very valid" category, while language experts achieved 90% in the "very valid" category, and teaching material experts scored 80% in the "valid" category. Based on feedback from practitioners through the teacher and student response questionnaires, teacher responses received 89% in the "very practical" category, while student responses reached 93.46% in the "very practical" category. Based on the assessment results of the Liveworksheets-based teaching materials, it can be concluded that these materials are highly suitable for use in grade V science education. For future researchers, it is advisable to conduct field trials to measure the effectiveness of the teaching materials and to develop Liveworksheets-based teaching materials for various subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract

Character assessment in science and social studies in elementary schools still faces various obstacles, particularly regarding the limited instruments available to accommodate differences in student characteristics and their social and cultural contexts. The main objective of this study was to develop a valid and effective Differentiated Adaptive Digital Assessment model to measure character values using an ethnosocial approach in elementary school students in science and social studies learning. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the following stages: information gathering, model planning, prototype development, expert validation, preliminary field testing, and main field testing. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that the developed model was valid in content and construct and highly reliable (α > 0.85). All components of the model, from the character assessment rubric, ethno-social contextual tasks, adaptive digital platform, to the implementation guide, significantly contributed to measuring students' character values fairly and meaningfully. This study contributes to developing technology-based character assessment that is inclusive and culturally relevant at the elementary education level.
