Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional, kesiapan mental, dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA SMA. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 134 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non-tes. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket kecerdasan emosional, angket kesiapan mental, angket efikasi diri, dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial dengan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional, kesiapan mental, dan efikasi diri berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui efikasi diri, dan kesiapan mental berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui efikasi diri.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan emosional, kesiapan mental, efikasi diri, hasil belajar matematika siswa.This study was conducted to determine the influence of emotional intelligence, mental readiness and self-efficacy on the results of learning mathematics students of grade XI IPA SMA. The sampling technique in this study used a simple random sampling with samples was 134 students. Data collection techniques used the test and non-test instruments. The instruments used were emotional intelligence questionnaire, mental readiness questionnaire, self-efficacy questionnaire, and math study result test. The data of the research results were analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with path analysis. The results showed that emotional intelligence, mental readiness, and self-efficacy positively effects on students’ math learning outcomes, emotional intelligence positively effects on students’ math learning outcomes through self-efficacy, and mental readiness positively effects on students’ math learning outcomes through self-efficacy.Keywords: emotional intelligence, mental readiness, self-efficacy, learning mathematics students

Abstract

The aim of this activity was to increase the pedagogic competence as well as the professional competence of teachers in the form of Community Partnership Program (PKM). The community involved in this study was a group of mathematics teachers in Tinggi Moncong subdistrict, one of subdistricts in Gowa, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It was undertaken to solve the problem, i.e., the lack of integration of pedagogic competence, subject matter knowledge, and technological skill to apply in classroom. In addition, the other problem behind this program was no instructor who could facilitate them in such competence enhancement. This program trained the teacher to use geogebra. The findings of this program were that the professional competence and pedagogical competence of teachers increased.

Abstract

Abstrak. Program kemitraan masyarakat yang dilakukan bersama Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) SD Kabupaten Bantaeng ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan bidang-bidang sains, teknologi, keteknikan, dan matematika (STEM). Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk pelatihan yang memuat empat agenda utama, yakni: 1) pengenalan pembelajaran STEM, 2) pengenalan pola implementasi pembelajaran STEM, 3) simulasi pembelajaran STEM, 4) diskusi terkait pembelajaran STEM, dan 5) evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 12 orang guru perwakilan gugus KKG. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara luring terbatas dan daring, dimana penyampaian materi dilakukan melalui aplikasi video konferensi zoom, simulasi dilakukan secara luring, sementara brainstorming dan evaluasi dilakukan secara blended. Berdasarkan pengamatan selama kegiatan dan hasil evaluasi oleh mitra, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilakukan berhasil memotivasi dan menambah wawasan serta keterampilan guru mitra dalam mengelola kelas berbasis STEM. Secara umum, mitra merasa sangat puas dengan program pelatihan yang dilakukan, kecuali pada aspek durasi waktu yang dinilai sangat minim untuk melakukan simulasi pembelajaran. Hal ini menjadi catatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan serupa di masa yang akan datang.   Kata kunci: pembelajaran STEM, pengembangan profesionalisme guru, STEM dengan alat sederhana

Abstract

This research aims to find out the pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of prospective teacher related to material at the junior high school level in terms of their academic abilities. To achieve the research target, 2 instruments were used, namely 1) a core instrument to measure emotional intelligence in the form of a questionnaire, 2) an interview guide related to the core instrument that had been filled in. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNM Makassar in the Mathematics Department. Subjects were categorized into 2 categories, namely categories I and II based on their academic abilities as seen from the GPA of students while studying in the Mathematics Education Study Program. Prospective teacher students are given the core instrument to fill in, then 2 subjects in each category are selected for analysis of the results of filling in the core instrument and conducting interviews. The results of this study are that student teacher candidates 1) still lack orientation towards science teaching, 2) their knowledge of the curriculum still needs to be improved, 3) knowledge about understanding students' abilities still needs to be improved, 4) about science learning strategies still needs to be improved again and 5) still need to improve more knowledge in evaluating the learning process to identify misconceptions.

Abstract

Learning mathematics during the pandemic has many challenges such as internet constraints, be it network quality or limited internet quota owned by students or students. This research uses a sequential explanatory design to investigate the effectiveness of the combined use of WhatApp (WA) and Google Classroom (GC) in learning mathematics, especially in the Elementary Algebra course. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and the selected class was class A which is one of the classes from one of the universities in South Sulawesi. Related to qualitative data, surveys and interviews were conducted to find out how students respond to the implementation of the use of the two applications and why the use of the two applications is effective / ineffective in mathematics learning. The results showed that the mean of the class scores is 80.12 with a standard deviation of 1.85. Based on inferential analysis, combination of WA and GC in learning mathematics in the Elementary Algebra course was effective. In addition, most students gave positive responses. Based on students' perspectives, the ease of access, features of both applications and ease of use are the reasons for the success of mathematics learning using WA and GC.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to: (1) develop a Web-based lecture monitoring program in the Mathematics Department of FMIPA UNM and (2) test the feasibility of the material and media in a Web-based lecture monitoring program according to aspects of subject matter, pedagogy, auxiliary information, affective consideration, interface, navigation, and robustness.The research approach used is research & development (R&D) using the Plomp model with five stages of development, namely preliminary assessment, design, realization and construction, testing, evaluation and revision and implementation. The instrument used was a feasibility assessment sheet by material experts, a feasibility assessment sheet by media experts, and a feasibility assessment sheet by users. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.The results showed that: (1) Web-based lecture monitoring program was categorized as a very feasible program implemented in the Mathematics Department of FMIPA UNM, (2) Web-based lecture monitoring program in the Mathematics Department of FMIPA UNM received a feasibility assessment of 91.67% of the total feasibility aspects from material experts, received a feasibility assessment of 91.65% of the total feasibility aspects by media experts and 86.07% of users namely lecturers Keywords: Lecture Monitoring perkuliahan, Web, feasibility test

Abstract

The development of the covid-19 vaccine and the impact of online learning enable the government in Indonesia to remove some restrictions caused by the pandemic and our situation now is called the new normal. In the sector of education, some schools already implemented PTMT (Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas) by fully implementing face-to-face learning with some restrictions recommended by the government. One of the learnings that most teachers used was direct instruction. This study employed a sequential explanatory design to investigate the implementation of direct instruction in mathematics classrooms during the new normal. Firstly, we measured the effectiveness of direct instruction. Secondly, we investigated the factors affecting the results of our measurement of learning effectiveness. Two classes of the eleventh grade in one of the high schools in Makassar were chosen as the sample of our study. The findings of our study imply that the implementation of direct instruction in the mathematics classroom is not effective during the new normal based on the mathematics test results of the students. However, students and teachers respond positively to the implementation of direct instruction in mathematics lessons during the new normal. Our interview results reveal several factors causing the ineffectiveness, which were lesson duration, the number of tasks, and the short deadline of tasks from other subjects. Thus, the students cannot focus and overlook mathematics because they shift their focus to other subjects.

Abstract

Identitas matematis merupakan salah satu aspek yang penting untuk dimiliki mahasiswa, baik itu mahasiswa di jurusan matematika maupun yang non-matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan identitas matematis yang dimiliki mahasiswa akuntansi. 59 mahasiswa terlibat sebagai partisipan dalam survei yang dilakukan untuk kategorisasi identitas matematis. Peneliti kemudian melakukan wawancara dengan dosen terkait 1 mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis positif dan 1 mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis negatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan tiga tahapan utama yaitu kondensasi data, tampilan data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian kami menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis positif dan negatif memiliki perbedaan yang cukup signifikan. Perbedaan tersebut mulai pengetahuan, kemampuan, serta minat dan motivasi. Mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis positif memiliki prestasi matematika yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa dengan identitas negatif. Hal ini ditandai dengan frekuensi menjawab pertanyaan atau soal, nilai, dan tingkat kesulitan soal yang dapat dijawab. Selain itu, mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis positif lebih antusias dan termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika dibandingkan mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis negatif yang sekadar hanya ingin menggugurkan kewajiban untuk mengikuti perkuliahan. Mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis positif cenderung lebih berinisatif dan mandiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa jurusan teknik informatika dan komputer Universitas Negeri Makassar mengenai efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis blended learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan lembar kuesioner digunakan oleh peneliti sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan platform Google Form. Ada 10 pernyataan dalam kuesioner, data kuesioner ditampilkan pada rentang 1 sampai 4 dari yang tidak setuju hingga sangat setuju. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer, Universitas Negeri Makassar sebanyak 50 orang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran campuran atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah blended learning dapat diimplementasikan dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan: (1) Mengembangkan media e-comic berbasis contextual teaching and learning pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. (2) Mengetahui kualitas media e-comic berbasis contextual teaching and learning pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Media e-comic yang valid berdasarkan hasil lembar validasi ahli media dan ahli materi. (2) Media e-comic yang praktis berdasarkan hasil lembar observasi keterlaksanaan media dalam pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata persentase yakni 96,42%, serta pemberian angket respon guru dan siswa terhadap media e-comic diperoleh persentase 97,91% dan 90,51%. (3) Media e-comic yang efektif berdasarkan tes hasil belajar siswa diperoleh hasil efektif (≥ 85%) dengan ketuntasan kelas sebesar 87,87%. Media e-comic berbasis contextual teaching and learning yang dikembangkan dengan model ADDIE bersifat valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel.Kata kunci: E-comic, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Valid, Praktis, Efektif.This development research aims: (1) Develop e-comic media based on contextual teaching and learning on the material of a three-variable linear equation system. (2) Knowing the quality of e-comic media based on contextual teaching and learning on the material of a three-variable linear equation system developed in terms of aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The type of this research is R&D with the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this research are (1) Valid e-comic media based on the results of the media expert and the material expert. (2) Practical e-comic media based on the results of the observation sheet on the implementation of the media in learning obtained an average percentage of 96.42%, and the percentage of teacher and student response questionnaires to e-comic media obtained a percentage of 97.91% and 90.51%. (3) Effective e-comic media based on the student learning outcomes test obtained effective results (≥ 85%) with class completeness of 87.87%. E-comic media based on contextual teaching and learning developed with the ADDIE model are valid, practical, and effective for use in learning mathematics on the material of a three-variable linear equation system.Keywords: E-comic, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Valid, Practical, Effective.
