Abstract

With the rapid development of IoT technology in various fields such as smart cities and industry 4.0, the need for wireless sensor network-based systems has increased, one of which is the concept of using a vehicle as a mobile sensor network or known as VaaMSN. Many developers use the IoT platform as a cloud computing service in developing the VaaMSN system. However, not all IoT platform service providers provide monitoring features on every device and provide information such as device location, purpose, condition. Therefore, this research aims to develop an IoT Platform that can receive data and provide information on each device, making it easier to process data and control devices.  Therefore, this research aims to develop an IoT platform called the SEMAR-IoT-Platform that able to received data and provide information on each device for easier data processing and control devices.  The SEMAR-IoT-Platform integrates Big Data, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, using the principles of Extract, Transfer, and Load (ETL) for data processing and provides communication services using HTTP-POST, MQTT, and NATS.  The test results show that the system has been successfully implemented to complement a simple IoT system with an average delay time of HTTP, NATS, and MQTT communications of less than 150ms for the data storage process, and for the data visualization process has an average delay time of less than 300ms.

Abstract

The development of transportation technology is increasing every day; it impacts the number of transportation and their users. The increase positively impacts the economy's growth but also has a negative impact, such as accidents and crime on the highway. In 2018, the number of accidents in Indonesia reached 109,215 cases, with a death rate of 29,472 people, which was mostly caused by the late treatment of the casualties. On the other hand, in the same year, there were 8,423 mugs, and 90,757 snitches cases in Indonesia, with only 23.99% of cases reported. This low reporting rate is mostly caused by the lack of awareness and knowledge about where to report. Therefore, a quick response surveillance system is needed. In this study, an audio-based accident and crime detection system was built using a neural network. To improve the system's robustness, we enhance our dataset by mixing it with certain noises which likely to occur on the road. The system was tested with several parameters of segment duration, bandpass filter cut-off frequency, feature extraction, architecture, and threshold values to obtain optimal accuracy and performance. Based on the test, the best accuracy was obtained by convolutional neural network architecture using 200ms segment duration, 0.5 overlap ratio, 100Hz and 12000Hz as bandpass cut-off frequency, and a threshold value of 0.9. By using mentioned parameters, our system gives 93.337% accuracy. In the future, we hope to implement this system in a real environment.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology is a computer technology capable of replicating a real environment into an immersive world. VR is also capable of simulating the user's physical condition so that they are able to interact. In the world of education as a support for educational activities, especially for vocational high school students who are more dominant in practicum, this study aims to show the results of the early stages of implementing Fiber Optic (FO) learning support modules. The module development process is carried out in several stages: scenario preparation, 3D asset development with low poly optimization, scenario integration with 3D assets, triggering every interaction, multiuser settings, and implementation. To build a good VR Fiber Optic application, measurements using OVR metrics are carried out. This measurement aims to determine the reliability of the application that affects the user experience. In the OVR metric measurement, the highest FPS value is 43, and the lowest FPS value is 27. The value obtained is good enough to run VR applications with low poly asset composition. Measurement of the level of user satisfaction is also carried out by using the PIECES Framework. From the measurement results, the value of each variable is in the range of 3.4 - 4.91, which means that users are satisfied with the VR FO application as a virtual learning support module. This research shows that Virtual Reality technology can provide an overview of practicum that is easy to access and not limited by space and material.

Abstract

Civil registration involves the mandatory and continuous documentation of important life events of a country's population under local legal requirements. In many countries, these documents are required to access government services such as education, healthcare, social services, formal employment, insurance benefits, and inheritance rights. Indonesia should prioritize building a comprehensive Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) using a big data information system to ensure every individual has a legal identity, can access government services, and collect accurate and reliable statistics on vital events through geospatial maps. Surabaya, a city in Indonesia, still needs a comprehensive Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system. We produce many informative visualizations from the query and modeling processes in Metabase. Based on the PIECES framework, this application's importance level is 4.56 or 91.25%, meaning the application is important, and the satisfaction level is 4.29 or 85.76%, meaning the application is satisfied for the respondents. This research provides a brief overview of how Metabase works and how it can be used to generate visualizations of job-type data. It demonstrates the ease with which visualizations can be changed and customized. It had a good affordability point, making its implementation easier and more beneficial. It also emphasizes the importance of having a powerful tool like Metabase for data analysis and decision-making, especially for the dispendukcapil as a civil registration agency.

Abstract

The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) has led to the creation of technologies to improve human life. IoT involves integrating the Internet with the physical world, spanning applications like smart homes, industries, supply chains, academia, and more. By the end of 2020, around 212 billion IoT devices were globally deployed, presenting substantial opportunities for manufacturers and diverse applications. There have been numerous implementations of IoT across various fields, including Blockchain IoT (B-IoT), Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Digital Twin, and new communication protocols like the Matter protocol. We conducted a comprehensive testing of the blockchain (B-IoT) extension system on various bandwidths and scenarios, such as blockchain API execution time, speed, retention performance, and smart contract vulnerability testing. Our testing has been successful, and several messaging systems were used. Kafka was recommended to overcome the pending transaction problem caused by unprocessed messages. Our smart contract exhibited high severity. The Artificial Intelligence of Things extension, tested on real environments for person and vehicle counters, has shown successful results. Digital Twin, integrated into the IoT platform to perform and control 3D assets such as the postgraduate PENS building, has demonstrated efficient performance. Matter protocol achieved an average task execution speed of 0.48 tasks per second. Matter P2P communication was also successfully tested in this research by implementing the Access Control List (ACL) command.
