Abstract

Online data entry systems have largely replaced manual file submission in modern data transmission. Data is often very large. Therefore, a method is needed to reduce the size of the data. File compression, or compression in general, is the name of this method. Compressing files involves transforming multiple document files into a standard encoding format to reduce storage space requirements or increase upload speed. The results of this research inform the use of the Additive Code technique application for file compression, which makes it easier to upload document files automatically and is useful for users. Therefore, the author conducted research with the aim of developing a web-based application. This system can make it easier to upload document files so that it can reduce processing time. Using this method in online applications is useful for creating large document files that can be compressed into smaller ones by following the compression procedure. Data compression test results were obtained by running 10 samples of each document and PDF data file at a speed of less than 3 seconds, with accuracy ranging from 27% to 67% for each sample. We successfully tested ten Word documents and ten PDFs that were uploaded and compressed.

Abstract

Nutrition plays a crucial role in maintaining health and well-being throughout the life cycle, especially in toddlers. Malnutrition can affect the physical growth, intelligence, and productivity of children. Factors such as economic conditions, parental attention, and unsupportive environments can contribute to cases of malnutrition in toddlers. Suboptimal monitoring of toddler development can increase the prevalence of malnutrition cases. This research aims to develop a Fuzzy Logic-based Decision Support System (DSS) application to detect malnutrition in toddlers, with a focus on the Semidang Alas Community Health Center in Seluma Regency. This study discusses variables for assessing malnutrition in toddlers, applies the Fuzzy Logic method to detect these conditions, and designs an application to diagnose malnutrition in toddlers. The research also includes community education on weight changes in malnourished toddlers and general nutritional status, providing input to improve services for malnourished toddlers. Assessment criteria involve the child's weight, height, and age, using Fuzzy Logic and DSS Application for data processing. Information handling related to malnutrition is limited to visible symptoms. Software development focuses on recognizing malnutrition diagnoses in children aged 0-5 years. A case study was conducted at the Semidang Alas Community Health Center using direct observation, nurse/midwife interviews, questionnaires, and literature reviews. System needs analysis used the Fuzzy Sugeno method. The malnutrition detection application was successfully built using Fuzzy Logic, providing detection results based on age, weight, and height. The defuzzification process produced detection values as a reference for further treatment. Application development involved both display and data aspects, with testing conducted with relevant parties to ensure the accuracy of detection results. User criticisms and suggestions provided valuable input for the improvement and development of this application.

Abstract

Tirta Hidayah, Bengkulu City, distributes water to customers using pipes and engineering materials designed to work properly. However, this does not always run smoothly, because technical and non-technical problems often occur. To carry out the process of handling and correcting problems that occur in the field, each department must order goods in the warehouse. However, the problem is that the location between offices is quite far and the administration is quite long, making the demand and expenditure of goods not optimal and has an impact on customer service. Of course, this situation can hamper service to customers, because the currently available applications can only be accessed offline. Therefore, the author is interested in creating a web-based application for the PHP programming language and Mysql database. The system development was carried out using the waterfall SDLC model, with the result that the application for processing data on demand and expenditure of engineering materials with a web-based system at the Tirta Hidayah Regional Public Company, Bengkulu City, which was built has been running well, and this application is useful and helps the Service Unit (Processing, Transmission and Distribution Installation, New Installation) and Warehouse Sub Division and Tirta Hidayah General Section of Bengkulu City in the process of requesting and releasing technical materials to be more effective and efficient

Abstract

This study aimedd to build an application program that can aid plant experts provide knowlwdge in the form of an expert system.so it can be employed to treat diseases of the teeth. The system can forecast diseases.the method usedd was the expert system which is built using a certainty value called certainty factor. The resulting values can be utilized to infer the types of diseases and pests on the grapes. The results achieved from this study are the implementation of the Certainty Factor method in the diagnosis of dental disease. The conclusion of this study is to produce a website-based expert system that can help doctors diagnose dental diseases based on the symptoms caused.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the KNN algorithm is able to classify pineapple fruit based on color features with high accuracy and determine the best k value in the KNN algorithm to achieve optimal accuracy in the classification of pineapple maturity levels. In the process of classifying pineapple fruit manually by using the human eye is a very difficult thing to do. This is evidenced by the inconsistency and subjective nature that causes a low level of accuracy. Therefore, to increase the level of accuracy and reduce the subjectivity of the human eye, this research proposes an algorithm that can be used to classify the maturity level of pineapple fruit, namely with K-Nearest Neighbor based on the color of the skin on the fruit. The k value used in this research is 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to test the Euclidean distance search on images with a size of 300x300 pixels. The research conducted proves that with Euclidean distance k = 5 and k = 9 has a percentage value of 73%. Based on the level of accuracy, color features k = 5 and k = 9 show the best k value on the classification of pineapple ripeness level.

Abstract

Online learning media (Online learning) uses a technological approach that is more suited to today's student learning systems compared to conservative methods of learning in the classroom. By looking at the varying number of questions, the weighting of the exercises varies with the number of questions contained in the exercises. As for the examples of questions that consist of 20 questions, each question is worth 5, so if the student answers 20 questions correctly then the student gets a score of 100. The problems encountered in research on citizenship education learning are still manual so that students' understanding of the concepts and rules of citizenship education is still limited. less because it is rote. The problem formulation based on the background above is that the weighting of the questions and answers is not yet known. The benefit of this research is as an information medium to introduce quiz exercises in applications with citizenship education subject matter for students at Vocational High School 08, North Bengkulu Regency with the concept of learning while playing.

Abstract

This research discusses the comparative analysis of the Canny algorithm and Robert's algorithm in edge detection of Bengkulu cloth (Besurek) using the Matlab GUI interface. The selection of these two methods is to consider the balance between the quality of edge detection, noise resistance, and computational complexity. By comparing these two algorithms we can choose the algorithm that suits our needs. The purpose of this research is to make a comparison between the Canny algorithm and Robert's algorithm so as to produce the best algorithm in the edge detection process based on the number of white pixels produced. From the results of the datatest edge detection test totaling 32 images, the results of the percentage value obtained are the Canny algorithm obtaining 96.875% and the Robert algorithm 3.125%. So it can be concluded that the Canny algorithm is better in the process of edge detection based on the number of white pixels produced in each image.

Abstract

Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (KTM) merupakan kartu identitas resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh universitas kepada setiap mahasiswa untuk mengidentifikasi status mahasiswa mereka. Proses pembuatan dan pengelolaan KTM saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual, di mana data mahasiswa harus diinput dan diverifikasi satu per satu, sehingga rawan terjadi kesalahan dan memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan integrasi antara teknologi pengenalan karakter dan pengolahan citra. Oleh karena itu, metode Optical Character Recognition (OCR) sangat tepat diimplementasikan dalam masalah ini. Metode OCR merupakan teknologi yang memanfaatkan algoritma pengenalan karakter untuk mengekstrak informasi dari gambar atau teks cetak. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah membaca dan mengenali karakter pada KTM secara efisien dan data berupa informasi pribadi dari KTM sudah otomatis tersimpan di Microsoft Word dan telah diuji tingkat keberhasilan penelitian menggunakan Precission, Recall, dan Accuracy. Adapun hasil yang didapat dari Precission, Recall, dan Accuracy dari penelitian ini yaitu Precission sebesar 88%, Recall sebesar 100%, dan Accuracy 88%.

Abstract

The use of QR-code and GPS technology in the attendance system also has several advantages, such as making the attendance process easier for students, monitoring employee attendance accurately and efficiently, and improving the quality of student work. Therefore, it is important to compare the efficiency of the QR-code attendance method with Geolocation to find out which technology is more effective and efficient in improving the attendance system. In this research the author used the K-means Clustering method. The K-means method is a non-hierarchical data grouping method that attempts to partition existing data into two or more 13 groups. This method partitions data into groups so that data with the same characteristics is included in other groups. The research results show that Cluster 1 has a centeroid that is close to the QR Code features (3,4,4), namely moderate efficiency in application implementation, relatively high ease of use, and system robustness with high data accuracy. Cluster 2 has a centeroid with Geolocation features (3,3,3), namely moderate efficiency and flexibility, moderate ease of use, and system robustness with moderate data accuracy. Thus, after obtaining comparison results between QR code and Geolocation in the lecture attendance process, researchers can recommend the best system to use in terms of user aspects and needs. If the user needs a presence system that prioritizes ease of use and robustness of the system, the user is suited to using the QR-Code system because the usability and durability aspects are relatively high. Meanwhile, if the user prioritizes efficiency and flexibility in the process, it is best to use a presence system in the form of Geolocation, because the results of this research show that the efficient aspect of Geolocation is higher

Abstract

Indonesia is the most populous country in Southeast Asia and a great asset for the development of the Indonesian nation. A large population, if not managed properly, can pose problems in the future. The significant number of unemployed individuals in Indonesia creates its own challenges. The workforce in Indonesia still consists of a significant portion with primary and secondary education, while those with tertiary education are relatively few. The workforce can become the spearhead by creating job opportunities (job creators), so reducing unemployment cannot solely rely on job creation through private or foreign investment and the government. The tough competition among the increasing number of unemployed individuals each year has led to a new option, namely starting a self-employed business, which falls under the category of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs play a crucial role in improving and growing the community's economy. MSMEs are considered capable of withstanding any situation to achieve the welfare of the society. Establishing a new MSME is a challenging decision for those with limited funds, and careful consideration is required before starting one. The abundance of business options that can serve as references does not always guarantee success since not all businesses will thrive. Before deciding on the type of self-employment to pursue, prospective entrepreneurs must conduct research first. Therefore, there is a need for education and guidance for prospective entrepreneurs to avoid missteps when starting an MSME. The current technological advancements can be utilized to assist prospective entrepreneurs in providing relevant data related to self-employment, one of which is through the use of smartphone technology. Users can access literature regarding the process of establishing a self-employed business and learn from the experiences shared by entrepreneurs who are currently building their businesses
