Abstract

Inclusive education emphasizes equal access, participation, and respect for student diversity, including social, cultural, linguistic, and other background differences. In multicultural societies, culture plays a strategic role in shaping inclusive educational practices. This article aims to analyze the symbiotic role of culture in fostering inclusive education by examining the relationship between cultural values, learning strategies, and the development of inclusive learning environments. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, drawing on relevant national and international scholarly sources. The findings indicate that culture serves as a fundamental value base for inclusive education and maintains a symbiotic relationship with educational practices, in which education adapts to students’ cultural contexts while also transforming cultural values. The integration of local cultural values into curricula and learning processes enhances students’ motivation, participation, and character development. However, the implementation of culture-based inclusive education still faces challenges, such as the dominance of majority cultures, limited teacher competence, and insufficient policy support. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence, intrinsic motivation, and differentiated instruction on students’ academic achievement, as well as to examine the moderating role of differentiated instruction among students of UPT SMPN in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. The background of this research arises from the persistent issue of low academic performance, which is presumed to be associated with students’ emotional competence, learning motivation, and the implementation of instructional practices that have not fully accommodated diverse learning needs. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4.The results indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on academic achievement. Intrinsic motivation also demonstrates a positive and significant influence on students’ academic performance. Furthermore, differentiated instruction significantly affects academic achievement, suggesting that instructional strategies tailored to students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles contribute toimproved learning outcomes. The moderation analysis shows that differentiated instruction strengthens the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement; however, it does not moderate the effect of intrinsic motivation on academic achievement. Overall, this study affirms the importance of enhancing students’ emotional competence, fostering intrinsic motivation, and implementing differentiated instruction to improve academic performance at the junior secondary level. These findings provide valuable implications for teachers, schools, and policymakers in designing more adaptive and student-centered instructional practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak era digital terhadap pola konsumsi rumah tangga dan tingkat cinta tanah air di Kota Manokwari, Papua Barat. Perkembangan teknologi digital yang ditandai oleh meningkatnya penggunaan internet, media sosial, dan platform e-commerce telah mengubah cara masyarakat mengakses informasi, memilih produk, dan menentukan keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei pada rumah tangga untuk memperoleh data mengenai perilaku konsumsi serta persepsi terhadap nilai cinta tanah air di tengah arus digitalisasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh era digital terhadap pola konsumsi dan peran nilai cinta tanah air dalam proses tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa era digital memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam membentuk pola konsumsi rumah tangga, terutama melalui peningkatan akses informasi, ekspansi pilihan produk, dan kecenderungan berbelanja daring. Temuan lainnya mengungkap bahwa nilai cinta tanah air berperan penting dalam mengarahkan preferensi rumah tangga untuk memilih produk lokal, meskipun tersedia berbagai alternatif produk impor di ruang digital. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa digitalisasi tidak hanya memudahkan transaksi dan memperluas perilaku konsumsi, tetapi juga dapat menjadi instrumen strategis untuk menguatkan nasionalisme ekonomi di Manokwari ketika didukung oleh literasi digital dan kampanye kebangsaan yang tepat.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Pallangga, Kabupaten Gowa, dengan fokus pada sosialisasi pencegahan stunting melalui edukasi gizi kepada ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah masih rendahnya pemahaman mitra mengenai stunting, termasuk pengertian, penyebab, dampak, serta upaya pencegahannya. Sebagian ibu rumah tangga masih menganggap stunting sebagai faktor keturunan dan belum mampu mengidentifikasi kondisi tersebut pada anak. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat melalui metode penyuluhan dengan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta yang signifikan, yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil pre-test dan post-test. Setelah kegiatan, mayoritas peserta berada pada kategori paham dan sangat paham mengenai stunting dan pencegahannya. Selain itu, peserta juga menunjukkan perubahan sikap serta kemampuan dalam menyusun menu gizi seimbang. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak berkelanjutan dalam upaya pencegahan stunting melalui peran aktif ibu rumah tangga sebagai pengelola gizi keluarga.

Abstract

Although student leadership development and teamwork training have received considerable attention in various previous studies, research that specifically discusses their role in increasing students’ self-confidence in the school environment remains limited. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of leadership and teamwork training in increasing students’ self-confidence. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design involving 35 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired-sample t-test. The results showed that leadership and teamwork training significantly improved students’ self-confidence, communication skills, sense of responsibility, and collaborative attitudes. After participating in the training, students showed greater courage in expressing opinions, participating in group discussions, and taking on leadership roles. The conclusion of this study affirms that leadership and teamwork training play an important role in building students’ self-confidence and social competence in educational settings. These findings provide a theoretical contribution to the development of educational leadership and character education studies, as well as practical implications for educational institutions in designing experience-based leadership and teamwork training programs.

Abstract

Fostering leadership spirit from an early age is a strategic effort to develop young generations who are responsible, confident, and capable of contributing positively to their school and community. This Community Service activity aimed to enhance students’ basic leadership knowledge and skills through a Basic Leadership Training program conducted in November 2025 at SMA Negeri 10 Kabupaten Pangkep. The implementation method consisted of preparation and coordination with the school, needs analysis, training sessions delivered through interactive lectures, group discussions, leadership simulations, reflective activities, and evaluation using questionnaires and participatory observation. The participants were students involved in school organizations and class representatives. The results indicated an improvement in students’ understanding of leadership concepts, effective communication, organizational management, teamwork, and responsible decision-making. In addition, students demonstrated increased self-confidence and collaboration skills during practical sessions and simulations. Participant evaluations showed positive responses toward the contextual and applicable training materials and methods. In conclusion, the Basic Leadership Training conducted in November 2025 at SMA Negeri 10 Kabupaten Pangkep was effective in fostering students’ leadership spirit from an early stage and is recommended to be implemented continuously as part of character development and student organization strengthening programs at school

Abstract

This study examines the construction, circulation, and contestation of symbolic meaning in political language on social media during the 2024 Makassar mayoral election. In contemporary local elections, social media has become more than a channel for transmitting campaign information; it functions as a symbolic arena in which political identities, local cultural claims, and affective attachments are continuously produced and negotiated. Using symbolic interactionism as the main analytical framework, this qualitative case study analyzes verbal and visual campaign symbols circulated through candidates' official Instagram, X, and Facebook accounts, together with public audience responses in the form of comments, likes, shares, and discursive counter-narratives. The findings show that slogans, hashtags, local linguistic markers, cultural attire, religious icons, and urban landmarks were strategically deployed to construct candidates as populist, culturally rooted, religiously legitimate, and future-oriented figures. However, these symbols did not generate a single stable meaning. Supporters interpreted them as signs of representation, hope, and collective identity, whereas skeptical users reframed the same symbols as empty rhetoric, elite manipulation, or performative populism. The study concludes that social media transformed the Makassar mayoral election into a symbolic performance in which political legitimacy was shaped not only by programs and policy claims but also by the capacity to control, circulate, and defend meanings in digital public space. The article contributes to political communication studies by foregrounding a locally specific Eastern Indonesian case and by showing how symbolic interaction, platform affordances, and local cultural repertoires intersect in digital electoral politics.
