Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students’ learning motivation through a literature study method. Data were obtained from various national and international journals discussing the implementation of PjBL and its impact on learning motivation. The findings indicate that PjBL is able to increase students’ motivation because project-based activities encourage active engagement, collaboration, creativity, and responsibility in completing tasks. In addition, PjBL provides meaningful and contextual learning experiences, making students more enthusiastic, focused, and motivated during the learning process. Thus, PjBL can be recommended as an effective learning model to enhance students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

This research adopts a qualitative design with a multi-sited ethnography strategy conducted cross-sectorally in three key domains agrarian and environmental conflicts, regulation of digital space and platform economy, informal economy and customs. The selection of these three domains is based on the consideration that they represent the most dynamic arenas of legal contestation in contemporary Indonesian society, where state law directly confronts alternative norms that exist in society. Multi sited ethnography allows researchers to trace how the phenomena of responsive law and legal pluralism operate in different geographical, social, and sectoral contexts, while remaining interconnected within the broader national legal system. This approach also facilitates in depth comparative analysis of variations in legal responses to social change across localities.

Abstract

This study reconstructs the concept of children’s post-birth rights from an Islamic perspective by positioning spiritual, educational, and humanitarian values as the foundational principles of early child upbringing. Departing from contemporary approaches that tend to emphasize legal and physical aspects while marginalizing spiritual dimensions, this research re-examines Islamic teachings through the classical text Tarbiyatul Athfāl. A qualitative library-based approach is employed, using thematic analysis within the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The findings demonstrate that children’s rights in Islam extend beyond physical care and legal recognition to encompass the cultivation of spiritual consciousness, moral character, and human dignity from birth. Spiritual values are embedded in practices such as the recitation of the adhan, tahnik, giving meaningful names, and performing aqiqah, which function as early internalization of monotheism and Islamic identity. Educational values are reflected in parenting based on role modeling, affection, and continuous moral habituation. Meanwhile, humanitarian values emphasize protection, welfare, and respect for children as dignified human beings. This reconstruction affirms that Islamic teachings provide a holistic and integrative framework for safeguarding children’s post-birth rights and remain highly relevant in addressing contemporary challenges in child education and upbringing.

Abstract

The entire population was used as research because the saturated sampling technique was used. This study aims to determine how the application of the project-based learning (PjBL) model impacts students' understanding of the solar system material in grade IV of SDN Sukamaju. The background of this study lies in the fact that students have a low conceptual understanding of abstract science material and that teachers still dominate learning. Therefore, a learning model that is able to actively involve students in the learning process is needed. One of them is the PjBL model. This experiment was conducted using a pretest-posttest group design. This study was attended by all 22 students in grade IV of SDN Sukamaju. Because the saturated sampling method was used, the entire population was used as the research subject. Concept understanding tests given before learning (pre-test) and after the application of the PjBL model in cycle II (post-test) were the research tools. To determine whether there was an increase in student understanding, the data obtained were analyzed quantitatively by comparing the average values before and after the test. The results showed that the application of the PjBL model improved students' understanding of the solar system material. The results show that the project-based learning model can be used as an alternative learning method to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools, especially in improving students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of developing and utilizing school wall magazines (mading) as a medium for literacy, learning, and creativity enhancement among students at SDN 66/IV Kota Jambi. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research involved the principal, supervising teachers, mading coordinators, and participating students selected purposively. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that mading management follows a structured process consisting of planning, content production, installation, and maintenance. The wall magazine serves as an integrated instructional tool, a supporting medium for school literacy programs, and an effective channel of communication within the school environment. Active student participation in content creation enhances reading interest, writing skills, creativity, collaboration, and self-confidence. However, several challenges remain, including limited time, inadequate facilities, and fluctuating student involvement. Strengthening management systems, providing training in writing and visual design, and adopting digital mading platforms are recommended to ensure sustainability. Overall, mading demonstrates significant potential as a cost-effective educational medium that promotes literacy, creativity, and positive school culture.

Abstract

Increasingly complex environmental degradation, such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change, indicates the existence of an ecological crisis that is not only technical in nature but also moral and educational. Environmental education serves as a strategic instrument in shaping human awareness, attitudes, and behaviors to become more responsible toward environmental sustainability. This paper aims to examine the basic concepts of environmental education as an effort to address environmental degradation, analyze the role of Islamic values as an ethical and spiritual foundation for environmental education, and identify effective environmental education strategies in shaping students’ awareness, attitudes, and behaviors. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various relevant sources from the perspectives of environmental education and Islamic teachings. The findings reveal that environmental education must be integrated holistically into cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Islamic values, such as the concepts of khalifah (stewardship), amanah (trust), mizan (balance), and the prohibition of fasad (destruction), provide a strong moral and spiritual foundation in developing environmentally responsible character. Environmental education based on Islamic values strengthens students’ motivation, as environmental stewardship is understood as part of worship and religious responsibility. Through integrative, contextual, and role-model-based educational strategies, environmental education is expected to produce a generation that is ecologically aware, morally grounded, and responsible in preserving environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Indonesia's governance system still shows a significant gap between the ideal presidential concept, based on Pancasila, and the reality on the ground where the executive branch dominates everything. Institutions like the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) prove to be weak in controlling regional affairs, while regional autonomy is often hindered by massive cancellations of local regulations and financial imbalances between provinces. This research uses a mixed explanatory sequential approach in 10 selected provinces (period 2018-2024), with primary data from 30 interviews and direct observations combined with additional data from the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Finance. Through panel regression analysis and content analysis, this study reveals crucial facts: the DPD essentially functions only as a rubber stamp for the executive, fund transfers from the center create a financial illusion, and regional autonomy remains merely formal without real substance. From these findings, an asymmetric autonomy model emerges with three core pillars: digital DPD, tiered regional authority hierarchy, and a Pancasila verification mechanism by the Constitutional Court. The proposed recommendations include revising Article 22D of the 1945 Constitution, laws on asymmetric autonomy, and a pilot project in Papua in 2027 to realize more equitable and prosperous democratic governance.
