Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of use of technology in the production of teaching materials in schools. Even though there are adequate facilities for making teaching materials using technology. The reason teachers do not make the most of the existing facilities is because of a lack of time and not enough ability to design teaching materials using technology. This research aims to develop a valid, practical and effective e-module using canva in Indonesian language learning in grade IV of elementary school. This type of research uses a type of development research. The development model used is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The e-modules that have been designed are then validated by validators of material experts, linguists, media experts, and driving teachers using validation sheets in the form of questionnaires. The practicality of the product is carried out by filling out a questionnaire of teacher and student responses. The effectiveness test was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test questions to students. The results of this research obtained e-modules that are valid, practical, and effective to be used in the learning process. The validation results of four validators, namely material experts, linguists, media experts, and driving teachers, obtained a final result of 93% with the category "Very Valid". The practicality results of the questionnaire responses of teachers and students in the test school were 90.55% while in the school where the research was conducted obtained the final result of 94.52% with the category "Very Practical". The effectiveness results showed an increase in pre-test and post-test results. It can be concluded that the use of "E-Module (Teaching Materials) Using Canva in Indonesian Language Learning in Grade IV Elementary School" has proven to be valid, practical, and effective for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of mathematical resilience and self-confidence on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Negeri Mangasa. The background of this research emphasizes the importance of psychological factors in supporting students’ success in learning mathematics,  This research employed an ex post facto approach with a correlational design. The subjects were all 38 fifth-grade students, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires to measure mathematical resilience and self-confidence, as well as a mathematics achievement test to assess learning outcomes. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistics, such as tests of normality, linearity, classical assumptions, and multiple linear regression.The results indicate that mathematical resilience and self-confidence simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, as shown by the F-test significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.438 suggests that these two variables contribute 43.8% to the variation in learning outcomes. Partially, both mathematical resilience and self-confidence have a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes, supported by t-test results with significance values <0.05. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing students’ resilience and self-confidence to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to implement instructional strategies that strengthen these aspects.

Abstract

The growing prevalence of hedonism among students poses a serious challenge in the world of education, as it can influence students’ attitudes, behaviors, and motivation to learn. This study aims to examine the role of teachers as moral agents in countering the influence of hedonism in the educational environment. This study employs a qualitative approach in the form of a literature review, utilizing secondary data obtained from scientific journals, books, and relevant articles. Data collection was conducted through a literature review by tracing and analyzing various sources, while data analysis employed qualitative descriptive techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that hedonism among students is influenced by technological advancements, social media, and social environments that encourage consumerist behavior and an orientation toward instant gratification. In this context, teachers play a crucial role as moral agents through setting a good example, reinforcing character education, and guiding the wise use of technology. The role of teachers is highly strategic in shaping students’ character and countering the influence of hedonism by consistently instilling the values of discipline, responsibility, and simplicity.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the advanced reading skills of Grade VB students at UPTD SD Inpres Sikumana 3, Kupang City, through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The background of this research is based on students' difficulties in understanding reading materials, as evidenced by their inability to identify main ideas and conclude the content of the text. Students often read the text without a deep understanding of its meaning. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in one cycle, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 24 students of Grade VB at UPTD SD Inpres Sikumana 3, Kupang City. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The intervention involved providing reading texts to students, followed by group assignments to create a project based on the content of the text. The results showed that the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model significantly improved students' advanced reading skills. This was demonstrated by an increase in the percentage of students passing the reading test: from 16.67% (4 out of 24 students) in the pre-test to 87.5% (21 out of 24 students) in the post-test. Furthermore, there was an increase in student engagement during the learning process. The PjBL model proved to be effective in improving advanced reading skills, which subsequently impacted student learning outcomes. In conclusion, the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model effectively enhances the advanced reading skills of Grade VB students at UPTD SD Inpres Sikumana 3, Kupang City.

Abstract

This literature review discusses the application of the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model in science learning in elementary schools. Science learning in elementary schools still faces obstacles such as low student activity, lack of variety in learning methods, and suboptimal conceptual understanding, which impacts student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the application of the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model as an alternative to improve the quality of science learning. The method used is a literature review with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) flow. A total of eleven scientific articles were found in the identification stage, then selected through a screening and feasibility stage based on topic relevance, variable suitability, and completeness of content until five articles were obtained that met the criteria for further analysis. The research stages include identification, article selection, content analysis, and systematic synthesis of research results. The results of the study indicate that the Think Talk Write model has a positive impact on science learning, as demonstrated by improved learning outcomes, active student participation, and conceptual understanding through structured thinking, discussion, and writing activities. Thus, this model is considered effective and relevant to implement to create active, meaningful, and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid development of Islamic financing products, particularly gold installment financing, which has become an alternative investment for the community. The aim of this research is to analyze the practice of gold installment financing and its marketing strategies at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Polewali Mandar, as well as to assess their compliance with Islamic economic law principles. This study employs a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving bank officers and customers. The data analysis process includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the gold installment practice at BSI KCP Polewali Mandar has been implemented systematically through several stages, including application submission, feasibility analysis, gold procurement, execution of murabahah and rahn contracts, installment payments, and final delivery of gold. The marketing strategies applied include direct approaches (canvassing), digital communication, and public education. Overall, both the practice and marketing strategies are in line with Islamic economic law principles, such as justice, honesty, transparency, and the avoidance of riba and gharar. However, challenges remain, particularly the low level of Islamic financial literacy among the public, which leads to misconceptions regarding margin and contract concepts. Therefore, increased education and socialization are necessary to enhance public understanding of gold installment products.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of academic procrastination behavior in students which is characterized by the habit of postponing assignments until the deadline is near. This study aims to determine the level of students' self-esteem, the level of students' academic procrastination, and the influence of self-esteem on academic procrastination behavior in students of SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto research type. The study population was 708 students of grades X and XI, with a sample of 256. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS. The results showed that the level of students' self-esteem was in the good category, while the level of academic procrastination was in the moderate category. The results of the regression test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 with a regression coefficient of -0.554 and a t-value of -13.787, so that self-esteem had a negative and significant effect on academic procrastination. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.428 indicates that self-esteem contributes 42,8% to academic procrastination. Therefore, it can be concluded that the higher a student's self-esteem, the lower their academic procrastination behavior.

Abstract

  This research is motivated by the low active participation and less than optimal literacy skills of fifth-grade students in learning. The study aims to describe the implementation and assess the impact of Wordwall educational games in interactive learning on students' learning interest and reading literacy skills. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with two cycles was employed, involving 11 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Pracimantoro. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, literacy tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in student learning interest, from the pre-cycle category dominated by "moderate" interest to the "high" and "very high" categories in Cycle II. Reading literacy skills also improved, with the majority of students reaching the "good" and "very good" categories by the end of Cycle II. The study concludes that the implementation of Wordwall educational games in interactive learning is effective in creating a more engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere, thereby enhancing both student interest and literacy skills. Abstract

Mathematical connection skills are essential competencies that enable students to integrate various mathematical ideas, both internally and in external applications. This study aims to conduct a comparative study of the content of questions based on mathematical connection skills in the 2013 Curriculum (2017 Revised Edition) and the Independent Curriculum (2023 Revised Edition) for Grade X High School Textbooks. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a content analysis approach to 350 questions. The analysis instrument refers to the NCTM (2000) standard, which has been used in Arina Susanty's 2018 research which includes: (1) connections between topics in mathematics, (2) connections between mathematics and other fields of science, and (3) connections between mathematics and everyday life, with an in-depth analysis of internal connection sub-indicators using the Hatisaru (2023) taxonomy. The analysis results show that there is a very significant difference in proportion between the two curricula, as strengthened by the Chi-Square test with a value of (2) = 26.554 and a significance value of p = <0,001 (p < 0.05). The 2013 Curriculum Textbook is dominated by connections between topics in mathematics by 77.5%, but has limitations in connections between mathematics and other fields of science and everyday life. In contrast, the Merdeka Curriculum Textbook shows a strengthening of connections between mathematics and everyday life by 26.7%. This indicates that the curriculum transition has brought about a change in the orientation of questions to be more applicable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Jumun (Jumat Al-Maun) program at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Surabaya, as a form of Muhammadiyah's philanthropic movement through infaq and alms activities to help students in need. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that the Jumun program is implemented systematically through stages of socialization, fundraising, management, and distribution to students in need. This program involves the active participation of all school members, especially students through the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM). The implementation of the Jumun program serves not only as a social activity but also as a means of character education based on the theological values ​​of Al-Ma'un. The program's impact is seen in increased empathy, social awareness, and the habit of sharing among students. Furthermore, the program strengthens solidarity among students and fosters a culture of philanthropy within the school environment. The Jumun (Jumat Al-Ma'un) program can be categorized as a model for implementing school-based philanthropic education that is effective in shaping students' social and religious character and has the potential to be developed in other educational institutions.
