Abstract

Isu tentang moderasi Islam sering terdengar sejak berbagai peristiwa kekerasan maupun terorisme yang dituduhkan kepada umat Islam. Benar tidaknya urusan itu, tentu itu urusan lain yang kadang-kadang menjerumus kepada persoalan politik. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam meningkatkan karakter religius individu. Moderasi beragama, yang mencakup prinsip-prinsip toleransi, keseimbangan, dan keterbukaan dalam praktik keagamaan, dianggap esensial dalam pembentukan karakter religius yang inklusif dan harmonis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap pemuka agama, pendidik, serta peserta didik di berbagai institusi pendidikan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama secara signifikan mempengaruhi penguatan karakter religius, memperbaiki hubungan antar umat beragama, serta meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran agama secara lebih komprehensif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam kurikulum pendidikan agama untuk membangun karakter religius yang lebih toleran dan terbuka. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini menekankan perlunya kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung moderasi beragama sebagai bagian dari pengembangan karakter religius di institusi pendidikan

Abstract

The era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 brings significant changes in various fields, including education. Digital media has become an important instrument to support more interactive and effective learning, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This article aims to explore the implementation of digital media in Islamic Education learning, its benefits, challenges faced, and strategic solutions to overcome these obstacles. The results show that digital media contributes to increasing students' interest in learning, interaction, and understanding of PAI materials. However, obstacles such as limited teacher competence in technology, uneven internet access, and students' economic disparity are still the main challenges. Digital literacy training for teachers, procurement of technology infrastructure, and provision of relevant digital-based content are the keys to optimizing PAI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of a project-based learning model on improving students’ religious character. Although this learning model is known to effectively encourage active student engagement, its impact on the religious dimension has rarely been examined. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. The sample consisted of 60 junior high school students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a religious character questionnaire covering dimensions of worship obedience, noble character, and tolerance. The results indicate a significant increase in religious character among students who learned using the project-based model compared to those who received conventional methods. This finding reflects the effectiveness of the method in helping students understand and internalize religious values. The collaborative factor in carrying out projects served as a key element supporting these results. Activities such as group discussions and peer evaluations encouraged students to share positive values. This study provides practical recommendations for teachers to implement project-based approaches to strengthen students’ character. However, the study is limited by its sample scope, which was confined to a single school. For broader generalization of the findings, further research encompassing a wider range of settings is needed. Overall, these results show that project-based learning is an effective approach for shaping students’ religious character.

Abstract

Indonesia is a nation endowed with extraordinary ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity. In this context, education serves as a strategic medium for instilling multicultural values in the younger generation. Islamic Education (PAI) teachers play a crucial role in shaping students’ attitudes toward diversity, tolerance, and inclusiveness through universal Islamic teachings. This study aims to identify the strategies employed by PAI teachers in fostering multicultural awareness among students. Using a qualitative approach, the findings indicate that group discussions, the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum, and cross-cultural activities significantly assist students in understanding and appreciating differences. The study also highlights the challenges faced by PAI teachers in implementing these strategies, such as limited time and a lack of specialized training. Recommendations for enhancing teacher training and developing multicultural-based curricula emerged as key findings of this research.

Abstract

Evaluation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is an important element in measuring the success of the educational process that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, its implementation is faced with various challenges, such as limited evaluation methods, instrument development, and teacher competence in carrying out holistic evaluations. This study aims to examine the concept, challenges, and strategies for developing PAI evaluation through a literature study approach with descriptive analysis of various library sources. The results of the study indicate that the main challenge in PAI evaluation is the dominance of conventional methods that are less able to capture the affective and psychomotor aspects of students optimally. The proposed strategies include the development of varied instruments, teacher training, technology integration, and collaboration with parents. The implications of this study are the need for improvements to education policies to support the implementation of more effective PAI evaluations that are oriented towards the formation of student character according to Islamic values.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penerapan metode pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Lokasi penelitian pada salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Bekasi yang sudah menerapkan metode pengembangan SDM melalui sistem magang, rotasi kerja, dan studi banding. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan SDM di sekolah bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru untuk mengembangkan tanggung jawab yang lebih tinggi di masa yang akan datang. Pelaksanaan pengembangan SDM harus mempunyai tujuan dan sasaran yang tepat, menggunakan metode yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah, terstruktur dan terencana. Strategi dan metode magang, rotasi kerja, dan studi banding mampu meningkatkan kemampuan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap guru.  Guru mendapat kesempatan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kompetensi yang relevan dengan pekerjaannya.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in the educational environment that can damage students' psychology and create an unhealthy learning atmosphere. As the main instrument in character education, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has great potential to prevent and overcome bullying behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in building students' characters that respect the values of compassion, tolerance, and responsibility. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to understand the implementation of religious values in the context of formal education. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with PAI teachers, and curriculum analysis. The results showed that the implementation of Islamic values through PAI was able to increase students' empathy and create a harmonious school environment. The study also found that PAI teaching that is integrated with daily life is more effective than teaching methods that are only theoretical. The recommendations of this study include teacher training, curriculum updates, and community-based holistic approaches to support bullying prevention in schools.

Abstract

Islamic character education is an effort to build a generation that has noble morals based on Islamic values. The Merdeka Belajar Curriculum initiated by the Indonesian government provides flexibility for educators to integrate local values, including religious values, into learning. This article aims to analyze how Islamic character education can be integrated in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review. The results show that the integration of Islamic character education requires collaboration between educators, curriculum, and society in supporting the creation of religious, ethical, and accomplished students. In conclusion, Islamic character education is a key element in building holistic education according to the demands of the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of problem solving-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning on students' critical thinking skills. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a pseudo-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 60 students divided into control and experimental groups. Data were obtained through critical thinking skills test and analyzed using t-test. The results showed that problem solving-based learning significantly improved students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional learning. The implication of this study emphasizes the importance of implementing innovative learning strategies in PAI curriculum to develop 21st century skills in students.

Abstract

Generation Z has unique characteristics that distinguish them from previous generations, such as dependence on technology and preference for dynamic and interactive learning methods. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of interactive approaches in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for Generation Z students. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in several secondary schools in Indonesia. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that interactive approaches, such as the use of digital media, group discussions, and simulations, can increase students' engagement, understanding, and application of religious values. This article recommends wider implementation of these methods to optimize PAI learning.
