Abstract

The objective of this community service activity was to ascertain the location and extent of customary forests in Bayan Village, with the intention of subsequently preparing a map delineating the boundaries of these areas. The preparation of the map was conducted through a participatory approach, which involved the village government, customary leaders, representatives of indigenous communities, youth leaders, and communities situated in close proximity to the customary forest area. The location of the service was determined through the use of purposive sampling, with the following considerations taken into account: Bayan Village is notable for its extensive customary forest area, ranking among the largest in North Lombok Regency. However, there has been no data update related to the customary forest area since 2005. The data sources employed in this activity encompassed both secondary and primary data, which were subsequently classified into two distinct categories: primary data, comprising boundary digitization results, satellite imagery, village boundaries, village profiles, and pertinent literature; and secondary data, obtained from various sources, including satellite imagery, village boundaries, village profiles, and related literature. The data were analyzed using ArcGIS 10.8.2 software, resulting in a map visualization of the customary forest areas. The mapping results demonstrate that the Bayan Village Customary Forest is divided into four distinct areas: Bangket Bayan, Mandala, Pangempokan, and Tiu Rarangan. The total area of the customary forest in Bayan Village is 82.02 hectares, representing a decrease of 1.18 hectares from the 2005 mapping results, which recorded 83.2 hectares

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, membuka peluang bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan interaktif. Namun, banyak guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat Lombok Tengah masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan media pembelajaran berbasis real (konvensional). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berupa simulasi penerapan media pembelajaran real dan virtual kepada guru-guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, efektif, dan menarik. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan berbasis simulasi, yang melibatkan presentasi materi, diskusi interaktif, dan praktik langsung penggunaan media pembelajaran. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengamati perubahan kreativitas dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang baru. Hasil yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi dan siswa, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dan menyenangkan. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan tercipta peningkatan kualitas pengajaran yang pada akhirnya dapat memajukan mutu pendidikan di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat terhadap penerapan media pembelajaran real. Selain itu, pihak sekolah menunjukkan dukungan aktif dengan menyediakan pembelajaran inovatif lanjutan sebagai tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase farmers' income as feed for breeding cattle and is intended as a step to save the environment from the effects of erosion due to massive land clearing that has occurred in recent years, including in Moyo Utara District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. In addition to providing material through short training on seedling selection procedures, breeding patterns, harvesting and utilization techniques of Lamtoro taramba, farmers are also encouraged to calculate the economic value of cattle breeding by utilizing lamtoro taramba compared to using other feed crops such as grass and agricultural waste. The results of the service showed that the application of lamtoro taramba on a limited scale showed better growth of breeding cattle and that the plant is beneficial in cattle breeding efforts. In turn, lamtoro taramba is no longer perceived as a land-destroying pest. Lamtoro taramba opens up opportunities for the Sumbawa Regency Government to provide holistic livestock development that leads to an increase in farmers' income

Abstract

Olimpiade sains nasional merupakan kompetisi yang setiap tahun diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan pada semua jenjang pendidikan. Kegiatan ini dibagi dalam seleksi mulai dari Tingkat sekolah, kabupaten, provinsi hingga nasional. Setiap tahunnya sekolah menyelenggarakan kegiatan pembinaan untuk menghasilkan peserta yang berkualitas dan dapat bersaing dengan sekolah lain. Kegiatan pembinaan ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam menguasai soal-soal olimpiade. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam 4 tahap yaitu tahap penelusuran pengetahuan awal siswa terhadap penguasaan soal olimpiade; tahap pemetaan konsep; tahap pembinaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil pembinaan menunjukkan semangat dan ketertarikan dalam mendalami soal olimpiade. Konsep stoikiometri dan kimia organik menjadi fokus pembinaan karena hasil pemetaan menunjukkan tingkat penguasaan terendah. Hasil post-test menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dalam penguasaan konsep terutama pada bidang organic. Siswa juga dapat mengukur kesukaan dan kelebihan mereka terhadap konsep-konsep yang diujikan

Abstract

The cultivation of pearl oysters Pinctada maxima is an important economic sector in Indonesia, but its productivity is often hampered by low growth rates and spat survival. This community service program aims to educate pearl oyster farmers in Sugian Village, East Lombok, Indonesia, through training on spat immersion techniques in natural feed tanks to improve growth. The implementation method includes theoretical and practical training for two days (August 24-25, 2024) with a community-based participatory approach, involving 20 members of active pearl oyster farming groups operating in the waters around Sugian Village. This program is supported by PT. Mutiara Surya Indonesia, a national pearl oyster cultivation company operating in Sugian village. The training materials cover pearl oyster biology, spat nutrition principles, natural feed culture techniques, immersion methods, and growth monitoring. Evaluation results show that all participants expressed that this technology is greatly needed by the community to increase cultivation productivity. The main challenges identified are the need for initial capital and access to microalgae cultures. As a follow-up, it is recommended to provide training on household-scale microalgae natural feed culture that applies simple technology, easy to understand and apply by pearl oyster farming communities. This program has the potential to increase productivity and income of local farmers. Moreover, the technology presented has prospects to be developed and replicated in other regions of Indonesia.

Abstract

Para guru SD di Gugus 10 Puyung belum optimal membelajarkan konsep geometri khususnya mengenai luas daerah poligon. Belum optinmalnya terlihat dari guru belum menggunakan alat bantu, pada hal konsep geometri adalah abstrak. Sedangkan siswa SD taraf berpikirnya masih kongkret. Belum digunakannya alat bantu disebabkan karena para guru belum memahami konsep tentang luas dan kemampuan untuk merancang medianya masih rendah. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah : 1) Meningkatkan kemampaun guru pendidkan dasar pengajar matematika di Yayasan Al-Aziziah tentang konsep dan prinsip luas daerah bidang datar, 2) Meningkatkan kemampuan merancang media manual dan pedoman pengembangannya untuk menentukan Formula atau prinsip luas daerah bidang datar. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh para guru terkait dengan merancang pedoman pengembangan media manual menetukan luas daerah bidang datar, maka solusi yang ditawarkan dalam pengabdian ini :1) Memberikan pemahaman tentang merancang media manual menentukan luas daerah bangun datar, 2) Simulasi dan praktek merancang pengembangan pembelajaran menggunakan media manual menentukan luas daerah dan 3) Diskusi dalam kelompok kerja dan presentasi tentang hasil kontruksi media manual dan langkah-langkah pengembangannya. Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat yang telah dilakukan ternyata sangat efektif yakni terjadi perubahan kearah perbaikan yang signifikan karena skor rata-rata pre-tes = 4, 25 dan skor rata-rata post-tes = 7,30. Hasil uji statistic t diperoleh bahwa = 19,874 > ttabel = 2,093 pada tafar signifikasi 0,05. Jadi secara keseluruhan bahwa pengetahuan tentang luas daerah bangun datar dan keterampilan merancang pengebangan pembelajaran menggunakan alat peraga manual menentukan luas daerah bidang rata meningkat yang ditunjukkan oleh perubahan nilai rerata tersebut. Dengan diperolehnya hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan pelatihan ini diperluas dalam rangka memperkuat pelaksanaan kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan TPACK sehingga pembelajaran dapat membangun sifat kreatif dan kritis.

Abstract

Mutu pembelajaran di SDN gugus KKG di Cakrenegara masih harus ditingkatkan agar bisa memenuhi stándar proses pendidikan Kurikulum Merdeka  dan bisa mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir komputational. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada para tenaga pendidik  secara komprehensif terkait  pembelajaran berbasis pengembangan komptentensi Computational  Thinking Dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian berbentuk  workshop yang lebih berbasis pada praktek langsung menyusun perencanaan untuk pemenuhan tagihan mutu pembelajaran berbasis Pengembangan Computational  Thinking. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pendidik telah  memiliki pemahaman komprehensif  tentang penyusunan perencanaan  pembelajaran untuk pengembangan kemampuan computational thinking.Pemahaman tersebut mencakup pengintegrasian kompetensi Computational  Thinking dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran sesuai kurikulum merdeka termasuk dalam pelaksanaan projek profil pelajar pancasila dan sesuai mata pelajaran.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem-based education is very relevant in supporting contextual learning, especially for students living in coastal areas. This program aims to improve students' understanding of mangrove ecosystems through direct exploration at Bale Mangrove Ecotourism, Poton Bako Village, as a natural laboratory. This research uses the Service Learning method with a focus on developing mangrove ecosystem-based teaching materials. The development process was carried out through interviews, observations, and field tests with students of SDN 4 Jerowaru. The results of the community service program conducted by the Bale Mangrove Thematic KKN team from the University of Mataram show that mangrove ecosystem-based teaching materials can increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of mangroves. Learning conducted in a real and contextual environment allows students to better understand and apply scientific concepts in everyday life. In addition, this program succeeded in increasing students' knowledge about mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in maintaining the balance of the coastal environment, but are still faced with challenges of waste pollution and lack of public awareness. The Biology Education Thematic KKN activity at the University of Mataram in Bale Mangrove Ecotourism aims to increase public awareness of waste management and mangrove ecosystem conservation. The methods used include practice-based education, such as training in making organic fertilizer using the Takakura method, ecobrick competitions, installation of waste nets, and the activity “Sunrise Nyampah.” The results showed an increase in community awareness and participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness and the important role of mangroves in coastal ecosystems. In conclusion, this program successfully supports the development of Bale Mangrove Ecotourism as a sustainable educational destination by combining environmental conservation and community empowerment.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in maintaining the coastal environment and are useful as ecotourism, such as in Bale Mangrove Ecotourism, East Lombok. Although integrating conservation and education through ecotourism, its implementation is still not optimal due to the limited educational facilities that support mangrove learning. This community service aims to increase the potential of Bale Mangrove Ecotourism as a sustainable education center. Activities include mangrove identification, nursery, monitoring and planting. The results of the service showed that there were six mangrove species, such as Rhizophora mucronata and Avicennia marina which became educational information packaged in the form of mangrove mading, the planting of new mangrove seedlings of Rhizophora sp. as many as 100 seedlings and the addition of 20 new types of mangrove seedlings, namely Sonneratia sp., monitoring which is carried out once a month which shows that some of the mangroves that have been planted show quite good growth marked by supporting roots that begin to grow. It is hoped that this activity will continue to be carried out and implemented to become one of the attractions of education for visitors who visit.
