Abstract

Pengolahan buah menjadi keripik merupakan solusi untuk memperpanjang masa simpan dan meningkatkan nilai tambah produk hortikultura. Namun, keterbatasan teknologi pengeringan yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan masih menjadi tantangan dalam produksi keripik buah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat Desa Kayangan, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, dalam memproduksi keripik buah menggunakan teknologi pengering tipe rak berbahan bakar gas yang efisien, hemat energi, dan higienis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung, yang melibatkan 25 pelaku UMKM dan anggota kelompok tani di Desa Kayangan. Pelatihan ini mencakup teori dasar pengeringan, demonstrasi penggunaan alat pengering, serta evaluasi hasil pengeringan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap prinsip kerja alat pengering dan kemampuan mengoperasikannya. Pengeringan menggunakan teknologi ini mampu mengurangi waktu pengeringan hingga 30%, dengan kualitas produk yang lebih merata, kadar air lebih rendah (10–12%), dan tekstur yang lebih renyah dibandingkan dengan metode penjemuran tradisional. Selain itu, teknologi ini juga berhasil mengurangi limbah hasil pertanian dengan memanfaatkan buah yang tidak terjual menjadi produk olahan. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi desa melalui peningkatan kualitas produk dan keberlanjutan usaha berbasis pengolahan hasil pertanian.

Abstract

This PKM-BEM program aims to enhance nutrition literacy and skills in producing nutritious local food in Mbawi Village, Dompu Regency, through two innovative products: Salome Bandeng (milkfish sausage) and Granola Moringa. The implementation method involved socialization, food innovation training, and a digital marketing workshop engaging the local women’s group (PKK) and housewives. A total of 30 participants took part actively. The results showed a 45% increase in nutrition knowledge based on pre–post tests, an 80% improvement in production skills, and two active social media accounts (Instagram & Facebook) used for product promotion. Salome Bandeng and Granola Moringa were produced in approximately 100 packages and received a positive acceptance rate of 85%. This program successfully improved the community’s nutritional and economic capacity while encouraging the formation of the Pokja Pangan Lokal Sehat (Healthy Local Food Working Group) as the embryo of the Dou Mbojo Food microenterprise.

Abstract

Abstract: This community engagement program aims to enhance the capacity of the Nine Seru Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) in agricultural product processing through the introduction of Spinner technology as a solution to optimize the oil-draining process in chip production. Manual production methods previously used were found to be inefficient and negatively affected product quality and competitiveness. Through a participatory approach, this initiative involved needs assessment, preparation of training materials, and the implementation of technical training using hands-on learning methods. Evaluation results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores and field observations. The Spinner technology effectively accelerated the oil-draining process, reduced excess oil content, and improved the final product’s quality. This initiative highlights that appropriate technology interventions, when tailored to local needs and delivered through active learning methods, can be an effective strategy for empowering rural women and enhancing household-based agro-industries. Continued training, technology diversification, and multi-stakeholder collaboration are essential to ensure the sustainability and growth of micro-scale agricultural enterprises.

Abstract

Proses perawatan mesin-mesin perkayuan pada skala UMKM kurang mendapatkan perhatian yang serius. Proses pergantian spare part maupun pengasahan pisau dilakukan ketika sudah terjadi kerusakan pada mesin, sehingga membutuhkan biaya perbaikan yang tinggi. Pengamatan tim pengabdian terhadap mitra, UD Wood menunjukkah bahwa terdapat cacat dalam pemotongan maupun penyerutan kayu yang berbentuk cutter mark, serabut, dan gosong pada bidang potong. Permasalahan ini bermuara pada penggunaan pisau yang sudah tumpul akibat tidak adanya standar yang terjadwal untuk proses pengasahan pisau, terutama pada mesin planner. Maka dari itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini penting dilaksanakan dalam rangka membantu mitra untuk peningkatan produktivitas yang berdamapak pada kualitas kayu serta manajamen produksi untuk menciptakan suasana kerja yang bersih dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian difokuskan pada aspek produktivitas berupa penggunaan pisau-pisau kayu yang berkualitas dan teknis perawatan serta pengasahannya, kemudian pada aspek manajemen berupa tersusunnya SOP penggantian pisau kayu dan jadwal pengecekan mesin secara berkala. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan dengan baik melalui 5 tahapan kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi serta keberlanjutan program. Kegiatan ini diharapkan akan mampu menjadi solusi dalam peningkatan produktivitas kerja mitra serta terbentuknya manajamen usaha yang bersih dan ramah lingkungan

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of MSME owners in conducting financial record-keeping through Digital Accounting Assistance using Accounting Excel and Google Sheets at Perfume Shop “X”. The assistance is carried out to help the business owner transition from inefficient manual bookkeeping to a more structured, accurate, and accessible digital bookkeeping system. The implementation methods include basic bookkeeping training, introduction to key features of Accounting Excel and Google Sheets, as well as hands-on practice based on actual transactions occurring in the shop. Through this practical mentoring process, the business owner is able to understand the financial recording workflow, operate digital bookkeeping templates, and independently prepare simple financial statements. The results show that the use of digital technology in bookkeeping can increase efficiency, minimize recording errors, and help MSME owners monitor their business’s financial condition more effectively. Overall, this community service activity successfully improved digital bookkeeping literacy and provided a positive impact on the financial management of the MSME.

Abstract

AbstractThis community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the millennial group inTapulaga Village, South Konawe Regency, in applying hydroponic system technology as an environmentallyfriendly and productive business alternative. The topic was chosen based on the low utilization of modernagricultural technology among rural youth and the high potential of coastal areas for developing sustainableagribusiness ventures. The activity was conducted by students of Aquaculture Study Program (BDP), Facultyof Fisheries and Marine Science, Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO), through a participatory approach involvingsocialization, technical training on hydroponic installation, plant maintenance assistance, and evaluation ofplant growth results. The results showed an 85% increase in participants’ understanding of the basic conceptsof hydroponics, and 70% of participants were able to operate the system independently. Moreover, themillennial group began to show interest in developing hydroponics as a new business opportunity in the village.This program has had a positive impact in promoting economic independence and strengthening the capacityof young generations through the application of appropriate technology in modern agriculture. Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in the learning outcomes of the forward roll (roll depan) floor exercise among fifth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 12 Turatea through the use of a movement variation model. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in collaboration between the researcher and the teacher, and implemented in two cycles. The research subjects were 23 fifth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 12 Turatea.The movement variation model applied included forward roll games with a running start, forward roll games with a rope obstacle, and forward roll games with a cardboard box jump start.The research results showed a significant increase from Cycle I to Cycle II. The average student activity increased from 47.5% (sufficient criteria) in Cycle I to 82.5% (good criteria) in Cycle II. The students' classical learning mastery also increased drastically, rising from 65.21% (15 students passed) in Cycle I to 87% (20 students passed) in Cycle II. This increase met the desired minimum mastery target. Thus, it is concluded that learning the forward roll floor exercise through the game model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Kertosari Village, Pakusari District, Jember Regency is one of the regions with relatively high rice productivity. One of the farmer groups in the village is Poktan Karya Tani who manages rice fields while also running a side business in the form of the brick industry. Community service activities aim to:increase the capacity of farmers to utilize local waste, a useful product in the form of a biofertilizer combined with biochar such as husk and bacillus sp. Community service consists of a series activities including outreach, training in making biochar, and application biochar. Socialization activities can increase farmers' knowledge regarding the importance of using biological fertilizers in combination with husk ash biochar. Based on the results of the comparison of pretest scores and posttest, there was an increase in farmers' understanding with an average of around 60% - 90%. increased to 100% after socialization was carried out. Potassium levels increased after applying a biological fertilizer combination of husk ash biochar and bacillus sp. Soil potassium levels reached 3.13 me/100g and continued to increase higher after 4 weeks, reaching 6.10 me/100g in the very high category. Fe levels in the soil also decreased from 1.3 ppm to 0.5 ppm.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to empower young generations and housewives in Manulai II Village, Alak District, Kupang City, through the development of homemade shrimp paste sambal production as a creative economic opportunity. In the context of contemporary economic dynamics characterized by digitalization and changing consumption patterns, the micro-culinary sector offers significant potential for empowerment, although young generations and housewives often face limitations in access to technical knowledge, capital, and marketing strategies. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of East Nusa Tenggara Province (2023), the fisheries sector contributes 12% to the regional GRDP, with abundant rebon fish production that has not yet been fully utilized innovatively. The main objectives of the activity are to enhance creative skills in shrimp paste sambal production, form independent micro-business groups, and contribute to inclusive local economic growth. The applied methods include a participatory approach with stages of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation over six months, involving 30 participants and collaboration with local stakeholders. The results indicate a 75% increase in technical knowledge, the formation of 3-5 independent business groups with an initial sales volume of 200 kg per month, and an average 20-30% increase in household income. The discussion highlights the effectiveness of Freire's (1970) model in critical education and the relevance of Schumpeter's (1934) innovation theory in opening new market opportunities. The conclusion emphasizes that this initiative strengthens community economic resilience and supports sustainable development agendas, with recommendations for long-term monitoring to ensure business sustainability.

Abstract

Santong Village, located in North Lombok Regency, has a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters such as strong winds, landslides, and earthquakes. The community’s limited understanding of these hazards increases the risk of casualties and material losses. This community service program aimed to enhance local disaster preparedness through community-based disaster response training and simulations. The activities were conducted in Santong Village on July 19, 2025. The methods included public awareness sessions, evacuation training, and disaster response simulations involving local residents and village officials. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of disaster mitigation and evacuation procedures, along with a plan to establish a Village Disaster Response Team after the program. This initiative made a meaningful contribution to strengthening community capacity and supporting the realization of a Disaster-Resilient Village in Santong.
