Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of academic administration services, including Responsiveness, Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy, and Reliability (RATER), on student satisfaction at one of the State Islamic Religious Universities in East Java, Indonesia. A quantitative approach with an associative research type was used in this research. Sampling was conducted using a proportional random sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 109 students. Data was collected through a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests. The research results show that academic administration services, which include the RATER dimension, simultaneously influence student satisfaction. However, only three variables have a partial influence: responsiveness, assurance, and tangibility. These findings imply that improving the quality of academic administration services based on the RATER dimensions is needed to increase student satisfaction. This shows the potential for improving academic administration services in higher education, focusing on critical aspects such as Responsiveness, Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy, and Reliability (RATER) to increase student satisfaction and institutional reputation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the importance of school committees' role and strategies in improving education quality. Through comprehensive analysis, this research identifies the role and strategies of school committees in developing school programs and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation process. This research uses a qualitative case study type approach. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation to determine the role and strategies of influential school committees in efforts to improve school quality. The research results illustrate that the school committee plays an active role as a school partner in supporting school quality improvement initiatives. The strategy implemented by the school committee is carried out through continuous evaluation, recommendations, and raising resources to find problems, take corrective action, and optimize available resources. This research highlights that the success of the school committee's role and strategy will be much more optimal and maximal if it is linked to quality improvements that all parties, both internal and external to the school recognize. This research contributes to advancing school quality improvement methods that can be used and developed in madrasah and schools in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the strategy of public relations in building the image of Madrasah. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah NU 05 Gemuh, using a qualitative approach and triangulation techniques. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and field observations. Sources of informants involved school principals, public relations, teachers, and student parents. The research results show that the public relations manager's strategy in building the Madrasah image involves the "Madrasah Greets" program. This approach involves understanding the internal and external conditions of the Madrasah, which is adopted through the Aida theory. Madrasah Greeting is implemented with steps such as understanding the image of the Madrasah from the perspective of attention, public interest, desire, and action. The next step is the implementation of Madrasah consistency and, finally, the Madrasah control program. The implications of this research are the realization of quality Madrasah capable of meeting the educational needs of the community, improving the quality of public education, making Madrasah a center for innovative and creative learning activities, as well as increasing confidence in the existence of Madrasah and eliminating arguments as a second option.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of religious teacher leadership in cultivating Islamic ethics at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Gorontalo City. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological framework. Data collection involves observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows four stages: condensation, coding, categorization, and theorization. The findings reveal that religious teachers can design, organize, guide, and supervise the inculcation of religious teachings, particularly in Islamic jurisprudence, thus emphasizing the manifestation of Islamic ethics, such as dress code, religious traditions, and Islamic interactions. However, the teachers' skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity have yet to integrate the practice of religion within them, both among teachers and students. This research underscores the importance of further studies to unveil comprehensive strategies for realizing Islamic ethics across various dimensions in the context of religious teacher leadership. These strategies should align with the student profile project of "rahmatan lil alamin" and position the practice of religious teachings as a critical leadership competency within the madrasah context.

Abstract

The phenomenon of conflict resistance between teachers and educational supervisors has been increasingly prevalent lately, manifesting as feelings of low self-confidence and apprehension among teachers when a supervisor or school monitor is about to conduct supervision. The relationship between teachers and educational supervisors should ideally be harmonious in the pursuit of national educational goals. This research seeks to explore the urgency, steps, and implementation models of artistic supervision in efforts to enhance teacher performance. Research data were gathered through observations of academic supervision activities, interviews with supervisors and teachers, document analyses on educational supervision, and the mechanism of implementing educational supervision using an artistic approach. The research findings indicate that the implementation of artistic supervision is a crucial approach in improving teacher performance, alongside the necessary steps and models of artistic supervision implementation. The study concludes that the urgency of artistic supervision must be recognized to break the hereditary culture of teachers' misconceptions about supervisors and the inaccuracies in the supervisors' approach. Awareness of this needs to be continually cultivated by each party, fostering positive reinforcement and a humanistic educational supervision model between the supervisor and supervisee.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate 1) Implementing university governance at State Islamic Religious College (hereinafter abbreviated as PTKIN) on the north coast (Pantura) of Central Java, 2) Differences in organizational commitment, 3) The effect of establishing university governance on organizational commitment, and 4) Higher education's competitive advantage seen from implementing university governance and organizational commitment. This study employed a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The research results demonstrated that, first, the principles of university governance at PTKIN in Central Java, especially in Kudus, Semarang, and Pekalongan, have been effectively implemented. Second, the analysis test revealed no noteworthy difference in the organizational commitment among the PTKIN managers. Third, the university governance variable (X) influenced organizational commitment (Y). In other words, the better the university governance implementation, the higher the structural officials' organizational commitment. Fourth, for an organization to thrive and achieve exceptional performance, it must possess advantages beyond mere cost-based and product-based advantages. Despite some deficiencies, the implementation of university governance and organizational commitment exposed effectiveness and efficiency. As such, State Islamic Universities in these areas have the potential to develop and progress.

Abstract

This study delves into the interplay between the quality of educational services and lecturer competence at IAI TAZKIA and their effects on brand advocacy. Analyzing data from 305 graduates and students across seven cohorts (2015-2021) and academic disciplines, it employs structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore these dynamics. The findings reveal that while lecturer competence does not significantly impact brand advocacy, the quality of educational services does. Specifically, postgraduate programs are perceived to offer the highest service quality, whereas Islamic Accounting and Islamic Business Management are viewed less favorably. Islamic Broadcasting Communication, a new field, needs more specialized faculty. Regarding lecturer competence, postgraduate students report the highest levels, with Islamic Economics instructors deemed more competent than those in Sharia Accounting, despite the latter's "A" accreditation. Brand advocacy is lowest among Sharia Business Management graduates, whereas postgraduate programs see the highest engagement in brand advocacy efforts. The research aims to position the campus as a benchmark for improving lecturer competence and service quality, enhancing institutional brand advocacy and competitive standing.
