Abstract

This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of work environment and transformational leadership on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Limbangan District, Kendal Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 221 teachers from 30 public elementary schools, from which 142 respondents were selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measuring teacher performance, work environment, and transformational leadership. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on teacher performance. The findings revealed that the work environment has a significant positive effect on teacher performance (r=0.733; R²=53.7%; p<0.001), indicating that a supportive work environment contributes substantially to improving teacher performance. Transformational leadership also demonstrated a significant positive effect (r=0.824; R²=68.0%; p<0.001), showing a stronger contribution than the work environment. Furthermore, work environment and transformational leadership simultaneously exert a significant influence on teacher performance and explain a substantial proportion of its variance. The results indicate that transformational leadership is the dominant predictor of teacher performance, highlighting the strategic role of school principals in enhancing teacher effectiveness. Therefore, efforts to improve educational quality should prioritize strengthening transformational leadership while fostering a supportive work environment to achieve sustainable improvements in teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends, themes, contributions, and gaps of previous research on early childhood practical skills as the foundation of sustainable vocational readiness in the perspective  of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study uses  the Systematic Literature Review design  with PRISMA stages, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and included. Data were obtained through Publish or Perish from Google Scholar and CrossRef with a publication range of 2020–2025. From the initial 300 articles, screening was carried out based on titles, abstracts, keywords, topic suitability, and availability of bibliographic information, so that 25 priority articles were obtained for analysis. Data was analyzed using thematic synthesis by grouping articles into the themes of practical skills and life skills, SDGs and continuing education, future or vocational readiness, and teacher and curriculum competencies. The results of the study show that practical skills such as self-care, tidying up the learning environment, completing simple tasks, sorting waste, gardening, and working together contribute to the formation of independence, discipline, responsibility, problem-solving, and sustainability awareness. This study concludes that early childhood vocational readiness is not interpreted as direct work readiness, but rather as the initial process of forming productive habits, independent character, and social responsibility relevant to sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a flipbook learning media containing Kapilara values (Karakter Pilar Dua) to foster the independent profile of kindergarten children, and to examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from the Borg and Gall model through seven stages: needs analysis, planning, initial product development, expert validation, limited trial, field implementation, and final revision. The population was all children in Group A of TK Intan Permai, totaling 17 children, selected using purposive sampling as the unit of analysis. Data were collected through structured interviews with the class teacher, direct observation using a behavioral checklist, expert validation sheets, parent response questionnaires, and learning documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques, while qualitative data from observations and interviews were analyzed thematically. The findings revealed that material expert validation reached 94.6% and media expert validation reached 93.7%, both categorized as very valid. Practicality based on parents' responses reached 93.01%, categorized as very practical. Effectiveness results showed significant improvement in children's independent behaviors, including self-care, task completion, responsibility, and discipline. Therefore, the developed Kapilara-based flipbook media is feasible, practical, and effective for strengthening character education in early childhood institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of Islamic education in promoting religious moderation and preventing radicalism in North Lampung, Indonesia. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using literature review and content analysis methods. Data were collected from academic journal articles, books, government policy documents, and previous studies related to Islamic education, religious moderation, multicultural education, and radicalism prevention. The collected data were analyzed systematically through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the transformation of Islamic education can be implemented through three strategic dimensions: strengthening a moderation-based curriculum, supervising extracurricular activities, and enhancing teachers' roles as agents of moderate Islamic values. The study also finds that integrating multicultural values, tolerance, social interaction, cooperation, and empathy into Islamic educational practices contributes significantly to preventing radical attitudes among students. In addition, the transformation of Islamic education in North Lampung demonstrates the importance of contextual and humanistic educational approaches in maintaining social cohesion within a plural society. This study contributes to the discourse of Islamic education by emphasizing the integration of religious moderation and multicultural awareness as preventive strategies against radicalism in local educational contexts. Therefore, strengthening moderate Islamic education is essential for fostering peaceful coexistence and sustainable social harmony in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of faculty guidance, self-efficacy, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the acceleration of final project completion among students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) program at UIN Ar-Raniry in Banda Aceh. Delays in completing final projects often pose a major obstacle to timely graduation, influenced by both internal student factors and external factors. The research approach used was a mixed-methods design employing an associative-causal methodology. The population for this study consisted of PAI students at UIN Ar-Raniry who were working on their final projects (theses), a total of 490 students, with sampling conducted using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and the distribution of structured questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, and were then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The research results partially indicate that: (1) faculty guidance has a positive and significant effect on accelerating the completion of final projects; (2) self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on the acceleration of final project completion; and (3) the use of AI technology (such as tools for literature search, grammar checking, and data analysis) has been proven to significantly accelerate the process of students’ final project completion. Simultaneously, these three independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. The findings of this study confirm that the integration of academic support (from faculty members), mental readiness (self-efficacy), and the use of modern technology (AI) is a crucial formula for promoting efficiency and accelerating the completion of students’ studies at PTKIN institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the doctrinal construction of the writing tradition in Islam, examine the historical dynamics of Indonesian scholars' writing traditions from the 19th to the 21st century, and identify structural and cultural factors influencing its development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources, including scholarly books, academic references, journal articles, and other relevant publications. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis, historical, and conceptual approaches to comprehensively understand the development of scholarly writing traditions. The results show that the Islamic writing tradition has a strong epistemological foundation through the concepts of iqra', al-qalam, and the codification of knowledge (tadwīn al-'ilm), which encourage literacy culture and knowledge production. Historically, the writing tradition of Indonesian scholars developed significantly in the 19th century through transnational Islamic intellectual networks, experienced challenges during the colonial period due to changes in education systems and power structures, and transformed in the modern era through print and digital media. Supporting factors for this tradition include networks of scholars, Islamic boarding schools, educational institutions, and access to knowledge sources. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include colonial intervention, secularization of education, limited literacy culture, and changing patterns of information consumption in the digital era. This study confirms that the writing tradition of Indonesian scholars is dynamic and adaptive, requiring the strengthening of literacy ecosystems to sustain Islamic knowledge production in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of accountability, transparency, responsiveness, and reliability on the integrity of madrasah principals in Binjai City, both partially and simultaneously, from the perspective of Islamic Education Management. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of 127 madrasah principals at the RA, MI, MTs, and MA levels under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Binjai City. A total of 96 respondents were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling and the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error. Primary data were obtained through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to madrasah principals, while secondary data were derived from madrasah institutional documents under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Binjai City and relevant scholarly literature on leadership integrity, educational governance, and Islamic Education Management. The data were analyzed using descriptive-inferential statistics and multiple regression analysis. The findings indicate that accountability is the strongest predictor of madrasah principals’ integrity. Transparency and responsiveness also have positive and significant effects, whereas reliability does not have a significant partial effect. Simultaneously, accountability, transparency, responsiveness, and reliability have a significant effect on the integrity of madrasah principals, with the model explaining 58.4% of the variance. This study concludes that the integrity of madrasah principals is more strongly shaped by accountable, transparent, and responsive governance practices than by personal reliability alone. Therefore, strengthening the integrity of madrasah principals should be directed toward improving responsibility, information openness, responsiveness to stakeholders’ needs, and leadership consistency based on the Islamic value of amanah.

Abstract

The visionary leadership of madrasah heads is an important factor in building public awareness and competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions in the midst of competition between educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the visionary leadership of madrasah heads in increasing brand awareness and institutional competitiveness in MTs Al Hidayah Marga Agung, MTs Raudlatul Jannah, and MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Rawa Selapa, South Lampung Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study type. Research data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation with data sources of madrasah heads, teachers, education staff, students, parents, madrasah committees, and institutional documents. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the visionary leadership of madrasah heads is realized through the formulation of a clear vision, vision communication, development of superior programs, strengthening Islamic values, improving service quality, stakeholder involvement, and managing public image and trust. These findings confirm that  madrasah brand awareness is not only formed through promotion, but through the consistency of vision, program quality, madrasah culture, and positive experiences of the community. This study concludes that visionary leadership contributes to increasing the competitiveness of madrassas through the formation of a differentiating identity, strengthening reputation, and increasing public trust.

Abstract

Pancasila Education plays an important role in developing students' civic character and national values from the elementary school level. However, conventional teaching methods often make students less active and less able to understand abstract moral concepts. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of short-duration videos in improving students' learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted at SD Inpres Masigi, Parigi Moutong Regency. The research population consisted of third-grade students, while the sample involved two classes selected through purposive sampling and divided into an experimental group and a control group. The primary data were students' pre-test and post-test scores, supported by observation data, while secondary data were obtained from school documents, student records, and learning materials. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, Independent Sample T-Test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The Independent Sample T-Test obtained a significance value of 0.007 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group achieved a higher mean score than the control group, while the N-Gain score of 0.46 was categorized as moderate. Therefore, short-duration videos are reasonably effective as an alternative learning medium for improving elementary students' learning outcomes in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the Holistic Islamic Learning Design (HILD) framework as an integrative instructional model for contemporary IRE. A Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology was employed through iterative phases of needs analysis, framework design, implementation, evaluation, and refinement at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Mujahidin Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, document analysis, and expert validation, and analyzed using thematic analysis, methodological triangulation, descriptive statistics, and iterative reflection. Quantitative expert validation demonstrated a high level of content validity, with an overall mean score of 4.80/5.00 (Excellent). Dimension-specific scores included pedagogical coherence (4.82), integration of Islamic values (4.91), content relevance (4.78), Islamic digital literacy components (4.76), and assessment design (4.73), all categorized as Excellent. Qualitative findings further revealed that HILD enhanced learner engagement, reflective learning, ethical digital awareness, contextual understanding of Islamic teachings, and character formation. The resulting framework integrates five complementary dimensions Spiritual Integration, Reflective Learning, Contextual Engagement, Islamic Digital Literacy, and Character Development into a coherent pedagogical model. This study contributes a theoretically grounded and empirically validated framework that advances holistic Islamic pedagogy and provides practical guidance for curriculum innovation and future implementation across diverse educational contexts.
