Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap beberapa guru Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Banyuwangi diperoleh data masih banyak guru yang mengeluh kesulitan dalam menyampaikan materi karena kurangnya keterampilan menjelaskan materi. Kebanyakan siswa generasi alpha mudah bosan apabila guru terlalu banyak ceramah. Dari analisis situasi yang dilakukan, permasalahan utama terdapat pada kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam beretorika sehingga apa yang disampaikan terkesan monoton dan menjenuhkan. Maka dari itu, Tim Pelaksana PKM Unesa tergerak untuk ikut memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan tersebut dengan memberikan Pelatihan Retorika untuk Guru SD menggunakan Strategi Podcast. Podcast dalam arti yang sederhana adalah rekaman audio. Dengan podcast seorang guru dapat merekam terlebih dahulu penjelasan materi pelajaran dan kemudian bisa disajikan dalam berbagai platform yang dapat diakses siswa secara langsung dan tidak langsung. Seiring perkembangan teknologi digital, podcast berkembang dari yang dulu hanya sekedar rekaman audio menjadi audio visual dan bisa dilakukan secara live atau realtime. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Juli 2023 tepatnya pada hari Sabtu di Kabupaten Banyuwangi dan berlokasi di SDN 4 Wringinpitu Tegaldlimo Kabupaten Banyuwangi dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, praktik terbimbing dan bimbingan pasca pelatihan. Pelatihan ini menghasilkan output utamanya berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam beretorika menggunakan strategi podcast dalam pembelajaran. According to the findings of observations and interviews with various elementary school teachers in Banyuwangi Regency, many teachers still complain about challenges in delivering the curriculum due to a lack of ability to explain the information. Most alpha-generation pupils become easily bored if the teacher teaches too much. According to the situation analysis, the fundamental issue is the teacher's lack of rhetorical talent, which causes what is given to appear monotonous and dull. As a result, we felt compelled to help solve this problem by providing Rhetoric Training for Elementary School Teachers through the Podcast Strategy. In the most basic sense, podcasts are audio recordings. A teacher can use podcasts to first record an explanation of the lesson topic before presenting it on multiple platforms that students can access directly or indirectly. Podcasts have evolved from only audio recordings to audiovisuals that may be done in life or real-time as digital technology has advanced. This training was held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in Banyuwangi Regency and is located in SDN 4 Wringinpitu Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi Regency. The lecture method, question and answer, guided practice, and post-training guidance are used. The main output of this program is an increase in teachers' knowledge and skills in rhetoric through podcast tactics in learning.

Abstract

The development of various post-pandemic technologies has significantly changed teaching and learning activities. Through a brief interview between the head of the English Language Teachers’ Association in Banjar Regency and the head of the community service team, data was obtained that identified the issues faced by of the English Language Teachers’ Association members: 1) Teachers still lack information about various Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for English language teaching. 2) The teachers still lack information about free applications that can be used to support technology-based learning to increase student participation. Given the challenges faced by the partners, the goal of this community service was to provide secondary school teachers in South Kalimantan, especially in Banjar Regency, with insights into how AI plays a comprehensive role, as well as training in how to integrate various AI technologies to support the teaching and learning process. The implementation method offered for this activity included lectures, discussions, and collaborative learning with several stages, such as preparation, execution, and evaluation. The results of this training were as follows: 1) New experience for the teachers about AI-based support applications in the learning process. 2) How to integrate these applications into the classroom learning process. 3) Teachers successfully created their learning media using applications learned during the training. 4) Learning practices that integrated AI into the teaching process increased student motivation to learn English. The conclusion of this community service was that services could help the teacher in using technology, especially AI, to increase student participation in class.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dialami oleh guru SLB Negeri 2 Martapura selama ini, yaitu: kurangnya pemahaman guru mengenai penerapan Universal Design for Learning. Sebagai salah satu solusi atas permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan adanya aplikasi AJAR MBK. Kata “AJAR MBK” bermakna Mengajar Peserta Didik Berkebutuhan Khusus. Aplikasi AJAR MBK merupakan aplikasi pembelajaran bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus berbasis Universal Design for Learning (UDL).  Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru SLB Negeri 2 Martapura mengenai pembelajaran berbasis Universal Design for Learning melalui aplikasi AJAR MBK. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan tahapan ceramah bervariasi, demonstrasi dan latihan yang dihadiri oleh 33 orang guru pada tanggal 12 agustus 2023 di SLB Negeri 2 Martapura. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan nilai rerata sebesar 56% dan hasil post-test menunjukkan nilai rerata sebesar 78% sehingga dapat dikatakan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 22%. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan penggunaan AJAR MBK terbukti dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan guru terhadap konsep peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus dan UDL, serta keterampilan mengaitkan konsep UDL dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus.One of the problems experienced by SLB Negeri 2 Martapura teachers so far is the lack of understanding of the application of Universal Design for Learning as one of the solutions to these problems is the AJAR MBK application. The word "AJAR MBK" means Teaching Learners with Special Needs. AJAR MBK application is a learning application for students with special needs based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL). This community service aims to increase SLB Negeri 2 Martapura teachers' understanding of Universal Design for Learning-based learning through the AJAR MBK application. The method of implementing this activity is training with stages of varied lectures, demonstrations, and exercises attended by 33 teachers on August 12, 2023 at SLB Negeri 2 Martapura. The pre-test results showed an average value of 56%, and the post-test results showed an average value of 78%, so it can be said that there was an increase of 22%. This activity concludes that the training on the use of AJAR MBK is proven to increase teachers' knowledge of the concept of students with special needs and UDL, as well as skills in linking UDL concepts in the learning process of students with special needs.

Abstract

: This community service aimed to strengthen teachers' competencies in dealing with curriculum changes from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum through training in the application of change management. This service activity is carried out using an asset-based community development (ABCD) approach, strengthening participants' potential for responding to change. The training participants were 35 elementary school teachers in Samarinda City. Training activities were conducted at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ulu, Samarinda City. This activity was carried out on Saturday, July 29, 2023. The activities involved providing training to strengthen teacher competencies by explaining the application of change management in dealing with curriculum changes. Data on training outcomes were obtained through the Teacher Attitudes Towards Change Scale (TATCS) questionnaire and questions regarding participants' perceptions of the training. Participants' answers were analyzed using keywords and word co-occurrence analyses. The training strengthened teacher competence in the era of an independent curriculum by increasing teacher belief in the importance of curriculum change, confidence in applying the Merdeka curriculum, and support for curriculum change. These results indicate the urgency of conducting similar training periodically to strengthen teacher competence in the adaptation process using an independent curriculum.

Abstract

Our activity aims to assist 8th-grade students at SMP Plus Muhammadiyah Doro in learning Geometry using tangram teaching aids. This is related to the lack of enthusiasm some students feel during the learning process, especially in Geometry. The community service activity was carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, using lectures, discussions, experiments, and demonstrations. The instruments used include questionnaires given to students before and after the activity. The results of this activity show that: 1) almost all students contend that teachers now need tangrams to help in explaining teaching materials in Plane Geometry; 2) almost all students are interested in the tangrams, which is due to their ease of making and using; 3) almost all students contend that tangrams can help them to train their understanding of mathematical concepts, especially in plane figures; 4) most students believe that tangrams can enhance their motivation to learn.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Kearsipan Dinamis Terintegrasi (SRIKANDI) merupakan perwujudan Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE) oleh Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI) dalam rangka mewujudkan tata kelola pemerintahan yang bersih, efektif, transparan, dan akuntabel serta pelayanan publik yang berkualitas dan terpercaya dalam hal kearsipan. Hal ini juga didukung oleh Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Republik Indonesia (PermenPANRB) yang menempatkan kualitas kearsipan sebagai salah satu indikator pelaksanaan reformasi birokrasi. Kearsipan digital berbasis SPBE berkontribusi secara aktif terhadap transparansi birokrasi karena berbasis teknologi dan bukan manual. Di sisi lain, Pemerintah Kota Surakarta juga telah menerapkan SRIKANDI sejak tahun 2021 dan masih diperlukan bimbingan tinjauan tentang bagaimana tata kelola SPBE bidang kearsipan baik dari sisi evaluasi sistem, persepsi dan juga tingkat kesiapan pengguna. Bimbingan diberikan kepada perwakilan Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) di Pemerintah Kota Surakarta khususnya Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan (Dispersip), Dinas Kominukasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo), Sekretariat Daerah dan juga Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah (Bappeda). Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Metode ini didasarkan pada metode partisipatif, dan digunakan untuk mengevaluasi partisipasi pemangku kepentingan dalam proses penilaian suatu kegiatan. Metode ini aktif secara langsung berinteraksi dengan stakeholder untuk mendapatkan tujuan yang diharapkan. Hasil dari bimbingan ini yaitu para OPD menjadi paham bagaimana SRIKANDI sebagai bagian dari tata kelola SPBE bidang kearsipan ditinjau evaluasi sistem, persepsi dan juga tingkat kesiapan pengguna. Sehingga, pelaksanaan reformasi birokrasi bidang kearsipan di Pemerintah Kota Surakarta menjadi lebih maksimal.The Integrated Dynamic Records Information System (SRIKANDI) is a manifestation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) by the National Records of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) in order to realize clean, effective, transparent, and accountable governance as well as quality and reliable public services in terms of archives. This is also supported by PermenPANRB which places the quality of archives as one of the indicators of the implementation of bureaucratic reform. On the other hand, the Surakarta City Government has also implemented SRIKANDI since 2021 and a review guidance is still needed on how to manage SPBE in the field of records in terms of system evaluation, perception and also the level of readiness of its users. Guidance was given to representatives of OPDs in the Surakarta City Government, especially Dispersip, Diskominfo, Regional Secretariat and also Bappeda on May 17, 2023. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) which aims to evaluate stakeholder participation in the assessment process. This method is based on participatory methods, and is used to evaluate stakeholder participation in the assessment process of an activity. The result of this guidance is that OPDs understand how SRIKANDI as part of SPBE governance in the field of records management is reviewed by system evaluation, perception and also the level of user readiness. So that the implementation of bureaucratic reform in the field of archives in the Surakarta City Government will be maximized.

Abstract

Pertambahan populasi penduduk yang semakin meningkat di desa Banjarwaru juga disertai meningkatnya kebutuhan pangan dimana masyarakat harus dapat mengembangkan sistem budidaya tanaman pangan yang lebih efisien dan mudah dilakukan. Di Desa Banjarwaru ini terdapat kader Posyandu dan kader PKK dari 8 dusun yang sangat aktif dalam melakukan program peningkatan ketahanan pangan secara mandiri sebagai upaya dalam mencegah stunting. Salah satunya dengan budidaya ikan lele dalam ember (budikdamber) dilengkapi budidaya sayur organik pula. Dimana budidaya ini akan menghasilkan limbah makanan dan kotoran ikan tersebut yang dapat digunakan sebagai nutrisi dalam sayuran aquaponik.  Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan lele (budikdamber) dengan menggunakan bayam merah pada aquaponik dan meminimalisir adanya kandungan limbah dari budikdamber tersebut. Rangkaian dari kegiatan ini berlangsung mulai bulan April-Agustus 2023 berlokasi di Balai desa Banjarwaru.  Adapun peserta kegiatan ini adalah para kader Posyandu dan PKK beserta perangkat desa. Metode kegiatan ini diawali dengan sosialisasi, pelatihan pembudidayaan ikan dan sayur dalam ember dan penyebaran kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan ini. Dari hasil kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa para kader ibu-ibu Posyandu dan PKK memperoleh informasi mengenai pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan lele dalam ember (budikdamber) untuk memberikan nutrisi pada bayam merah dengan sistem aquaponik.The increasing population in Banjarwaru village is also accompanied by increasing food needs, where the community must be able to develop a food crop cultivation system that is more efficient and easier to carry out. In Banjarwaru village, there are Posyandu cadres and PKK cadres from 8 hamlets who are very active in carrying out programs to increase food security independently in an effort to prevent stunting. One is cultivating catfish in buckets (budikdamber) and organic vegetables. This cultivation will produce food and fish waste, which can be used as nutrients in aquaponic vegetables. This program aims to provide information, training, and assistance regarding the use of catfish cultivation waste (budikdamber) using red spinach in aquaponics and minimizing the waste content from budikdamber. This series of activities will take place from April-August 2023 at the Banjarwaru Village Hall. The participants in this activity were Posyandu and PKK cadres, along with village officials. The method of this activity begins with socialization, training on cultivating fish and vegetables in buckets, and distributing questionnaires based on the results of this activity. From the results of this activity, it was discovered that the Posyandu and PKK women cadres obtained information regarding the use of catfish cultivation waste in buckets (budikdamber) to provide nutrition to red spinach using an aquaponics system.

Abstract

The problems found at SMP Negeri 10 as the location of community service are that the condition of the land is less fertile, there is a lack of knowledge and skills regarding cultivation using a hydroponic system, and it is located in a remote area so that the vegetables consumed have always been imported from Palangka Raya City with a travel time of 1.5 hours by land and river. Electricity blackouts often occur in this area, which is quite disruptive to residents' activities. The solution to overcoming the problem is to use a hydroponic farming system that uses alternative electrical energy from solar power plants (PLTS). PLTS can be used as an alternative electrical energy source to run a hydroponic system. This PLTS was chosen because the Central Kalimantan region is a tropical area that effectively absorbs sunlight. This community service activity (PkM) aims to increase high school students' knowledge, skills, and interest in modern vegetable cultivation. The PkM team creates a guidebook to aid in the operation of hydroponic cultivation and the PLTS system, integrating training activities into project-based Merdeka Belajar activities during the implementation of community service. Monitoring and evaluation were carried out regularly until after the harvest period, and the results showed that student understanding increased to the medium-high category and attracted student interest to the excellent category.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka menjadi jawaban dari tantangan pendidikan karakter saat ini dengan melalui Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, masih banyak ditemukan tantangan dan kendala di lapangan.  Sebagaimana yang ditemukan di SD Negeri Sungai Pauh Kota Langsa, masih banyaknya guru-guru belum mampu mengembangkan modul ajar yang diperolehnya dari Platform Merdeka Mengajar. Bahkan yang lebih mengkhawatirkan masih banyak guru yang belum mampu mengakses PMM. Setelah ditelaah, modul ajar yang digunakan guru sama sekali tidak relevan dengan karakteristik daerah satuan pendidikan atau sekolah yang berada di daerah pesisir. Padahal di sana memiliki potensi sumber daya alam keanekaragaman hayati yang berpotensi strategis untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pembelajaran berbasis project bagi peserta didik dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai karakter pada penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati lokal sebagai penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila di sekolah pesisir Kota Langsa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September, dengan peserta sebanyak 22 orang guru di SD Negeri Sungai Pauh Kota Langsa. Metode pelatihan adalah dengan pemberian bimbingan teknologi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para guru telah mampu menggunakan Platform Merdeka belajar, memiliki wawasan tentang keanekaragaman hayati lokal, dan mampu menghasilkan modul ajar berbasis keanekaragaman hayati pesisir Kota Langsa. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan kegiatan penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila.The independent curriculum answers the current challenges of character education through the Pancasila Student Profile. Implementation of the Independent Curriculum, there are still many challenges and obstacles in the field. As was found at Sungai Pauh Public Elementary School, Langsa City, many teachers still have not been able to develop the teaching modules they obtained from the Merdeka Mengajar Platform. Even more worrying is that many teachers still cannot access PMM. After reviewing it, I found that teachers' teaching modules are completely irrelevant to the regional characteristics of educational units or schools located in coastal areas. There is the potential for biodiversity natural resources to be utilized as a project-based learning resource for students in internalizing character values to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. This service activity aims to increase teachers' abilities to utilize local biodiversity to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in coastal schools in Langsa City. The activity was carried out in August-September, with 22 teachers participating at Sungai Pauh Public Elementary School, Langsa City. The training method is by providing technology guidance, training, and mentoring. The results of this service activity are that the teachers can use the Merdeka Belajara Platform, gain insight into local biodiversity, and produce teaching modules based on coastal biodiversity in Langsa City. This activity implies that teachers have the knowledge and skills to develop activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students from both intracurricular and co-curricular activities. This activity concludes that there is an increase in knowledge and skills in developing activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness is always associated with health because maintaining a clean environment can prevent the emergence of various types of diseases. This service activity aims to increase awareness, experiences, and knowledge and foster a sense of community towards a clean and healthy environment to avoid various diseases. This community service method uses service learning (SL), which refers to experiential learning, namely providing direct knowledge to the community regarding the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The activity begins with a pretest, providing CHLB knowledge material on environmental cleanliness, questions and answers, and a post-test. Community service is also accompanied by health checks and the provision of vitamin C supplements and Fe tablets (blood supplements). The results of community service showed that the average pretest and post-test scores for community knowledge in PHBS were 70 and 92.5, the results showed that there was an increase in community knowledge to improve environmental sanitation after being given education regarding CHLB.
