Abstract

This research the reseacher found that Some of the problems were: students find itdifficult to memorize new vocabulary,the students preferred to use indonesian language duringthe teahing and leraning process than English in general the students had difficult to understandlearning English. This research used a quasi-experiment using non-equivalent control groupdesign. The samples used were class VII D as experimental class consisted of 33 students andVII E as control class consisted of 33 students. The results of this research for the first hypothesisusing a paired sample t-Test, it was found that Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05, so the hypothesis alternative(Ha) was accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect of using the four square strategy.Next, for the second hypothesis using a independent sample t-Test, it was found that Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05, so the hypothesis alternative (Ha) was accepted, indicating that there is asignificant difference between the class that used four square strategy and the class that do notused four square strategy. And for the third hypothesis using a independent sample t-Test, it wasfound that Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05, so the hypothesis alternative (Ha) was accepted, indicating thatthe vocabulary mastery of students who use the four square strategy was better than that studentswho do not used four square strategy. So, it can be concluded that the four square strategy had aeffect on students vocabulay mastery.

Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) is a strategic, planned, and sustainable effort to enhance individual quality in terms of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and work behavior. This article aims to examine the general concepts of HRD evaluation and development, HRD development models, and strategic challenges in their implementation. HRD cannot be separated from the evaluation process, as evaluation measures the effectiveness of training programs and ensures tangible performance improvements. Evaluation models, such as Kirkpatrick's framework, are widely used to assess program success. Additionally, various HR planning models proposed by experts like Mondy, Noe, and Cascio highlight the importance of integrating organizational strategy with workforce management. In practice, HRD faces numerous challenges, both external—such as technological advancements and globalization—and internal, including budget constraints and individual resistance to change. Therefore, appropriate implementation strategies, such as needs-based training and cross-sector collaboration, are key to success. Through systematic integration of planning, execution, and evaluation, HRD can sustainably enhance organizational competitiveness.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in IPAS learning on buying and selling material are indicated by scores that are still below the Minimum Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This condition is influenced by teacher-centered learning, limited variation in instructional methods, and students’ low participation in discussions and peer interactions. As a result, students tend to be passive and lack confidence, making the learning process less meaningful. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Role Playing method and its impact on students’ learning outcomes in IPAS learning on buying and selling material in the fourth grade of SDN 1 Lambheu, Aceh Besar. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 25 fourth-grade students and one IPAS teacher. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by the calculation of mean scores and the percentage of learning mastery. The results showed that the implementation of the Role Playing method improved students’ active participation during the learning process, particularly in role-playing and discussion activities. Students became more enthusiastic, confident, and cooperative in group work. Furthermore, students’ learning outcomes significantly improved, with an average score of 82.4 and a mastery percentage of 84%, exceeding the established KKTP. Therefore, the Role Playing method can be considered an effective alternative instructional strategy to enhance students’ engagement and learning outcomes in buying and selling material.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology in the era of globalization has significantly transformed how students access information and engage in learning activities. One of the most widely used social media platforms among elementary school students is TikTok, a short-video-based application that allows users to create, share, and explore creative content. This phenomenon raises concerns regarding its influence on students’ academic behavior, particularly in terms of learning discipline and motivation. This study aims to analyze the impact of TikTok usage on the learning behavior of elementary school students and to identify the relationship between the intensity of social media use and students’ learning motivation. This research employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were collected through the identification, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant scientific literature obtained from Google Scholar and SINTA-indexed journals published between 2020–2025. A total of 14 selected articles were analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The results indicate that TikTok usage has a dual impact on students’ learning behavior. On the negative side, excessive use is associated with increased academic procrastination, decreased concentration, and reduced study time. On the positive side, TikTok can enhance creativity, self-expression, and serve as an innovative and engaging learning medium when used appropriately. In addition, the findings highlight that students’ ability to manage time and select appropriate content plays an important role in determining the impact of TikTok usage. In conclusion, TikTok significantly influences students’ learning behavior depending on the intensity and purpose of its use. Therefore, proper supervision and the integration of digital literacy in education are essential to maximize positive impacts and minimize negative effects.

Abstract

Language skills are essential foundational abilities for elementary school students; however, low proficiency levels particularly in reading and writing are still observed due to the limited variety of learning strategies employed. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing language skills in elementary school students through a literature review. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing scientific articles using the PRISMA flowchart. The results show that learning strategies can be categorized into active learning, media- and technology-based learning, collaborative learning, and literacy-based learning. There is no single strategy that is universally the most effective; however, the integration of these various strategies has proven to be more effective in improving language skills as well as student motivation and participation.

Abstract

Education is an important process in developing quality human resources and strong character. In the educational process, teachers have a central role as educators, mentors, and role models for students. The success of learning is influenced not only by pedagogical competence, but also by teachers’ personality competence. This study aims to analyze the importance of teacher personality competence which includes integrity, exemplary behavior, maturity, discipline, responsibility, and emotional stability in supporting the learning process. This research used a qualitative approach with the type of library research. Data were collected through documentation techniques by reviewing books, scientific journals, articles, and previous relevant studies. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that teacher personality competence has a significant influence on creating a conducive learning environment, increasing students’ learning motivation, shaping discipline, and developing positive character values. Teachers with good personality competence are able to become role models, maintain professionalism, and establish positive relationships with students. Therefore, the development of teacher personality competence needs continuous support through training, self-reflection, and institutional guidance to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Maneleo in early-age customary marriage practices in Kuli Aisele Village, Rote Ndao Regency, and its impact on the social and cultural life of the community. The problem addressed is the persistence of early-age marriage despite national law setting the minimum marriage age at 19 years. The objective of this study is to identify the role of Maneleo as a customary authority and to analyze the resulting impacts. This research uses an empirical method with a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The respondents include Maneleo, community leaders, and couples involved in early-age marriages within the last five years. The findings show that Maneleo plays a dominant role as the highest customary authority in determining the legitimacy of marriage, acting as a mediator and negotiator in determining bride wealth (belis), leading traditional rituals, and preserving cultural values. This role contributes to the continuation of early-age marriage as part of tradition and social stability. The impacts are both positive and negative, including cultural preservation and strengthened kinship, as well as socio-economic risks, disrupted education, and potential conflicts with state law. Therefore, collaboration between customary institutions and the government is necessary through education and policy integration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh upaya Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Pinagar dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran interaktif pada kajian kitab kuning Ta’lim Muta’allim yang sebelumnya masih didominasi oleh metode tradisional seperti ceramah dan hafalan. Penerapan strategi interaktif seperti diskusi kelompok, pemanfaatan media visual, refleksi, serta pelibatan aktif santri sebelum pembelajaran bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, keterlibatan, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi pembelajaran interaktif dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning pada santri kelas V.Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari satu orang guru sebagai informan utama dan santri kelas V sebagai informan pendukung yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai proses pembelajaran.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan penerapan strategi pembelajaran interaktif dipengaruhi oleh dua aspek utama, yaitu persiapan pembelajaran yang matang dan penggalian pengetahuan awal santri. Guru mampu merancang pembelajaran yang variatif dan menyesuaikan metode dengan karakteristik santri, sehingga tercipta suasana belajar yang aktif, komunikatif, dan partisipatif. Selain itu, penggalian pengetahuan awal membantu guru dalam menyesuaikan materi dengan tingkat pemahaman santri. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan resistensi awal, strategi ini terbukti meningkatkan motivasi belajar, pemahaman kontekstual, serta interaksi antara guru dan santri secara signifikan.

Abstract

This article explores Christian hymn lyrics as a foundation for teaching children's faith in schools. Christian hymns are an important tool for connecting with and communicating with God. The lyrics of Christian hymns convey messages of faith. Furthermore, they are also useful for conveying spiritual and ethical values ​​that can be applied in life. In schools, teaching faith can be taught through Christian hymn lyrics. Educators use this singing technique because singing makes it easier for children to understand and remember, and it can improve their learning mood, thus enabling them to absorb lessons effectively. Through Christian hymns, children can interpret each lyric and develop their faith experience. Through these lyrics, children can also be taught spiritual and ethical values ​​in their lives. The words contained in each lyric of Christian hymns can aid the teaching of religious education in schools. The method used in writing this article is a literature review, using various literature sources to obtain information for this research.

Abstract

Early childhood problem-solving ability is an important aspect of cognitive development; however, it has not yet developed optimally among children aged 4–5 years at TK Negeri Pembina 1 Kota Jambi. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Wordwall educational game on children’s problem-solving ability. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 11 children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed an improvement in problem-solving ability, indicated by an increase in the mean score from 28.18 to 37.63 and a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. The N-Gain score of 0.60 was categorized as moderate. Therefore, the use of Wordwall has a significant and moderately effective impact on improving early childhood problem-solving ability.
