Abstract

Underweight in toddlers remains a nutritional problem in Indonesia, including in the working area of Tanjung Pinang Public Health Center, Jambi City. One factor affecting toddlers’ nutritional status is dietary patterns influenced by parents’ knowledge regarding toddler feeding practices. The use of TikTok social media as a health education platform has considerable potential to improve parents’ knowledge and behavior related to toddler feeding. This study aimed to determine the effect of TikTok-based toddler feeding education on toddlers’ dietary patterns in the working area of Tanjung Pinang Public Health Center. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 57 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. The intervention group received educational videos through TikTok, while the control group received leaflet media. Dietary patterns were measured using the 24-Hour Food Recall instrument before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample t-test and Independent Sample t-test. The results showed an improvement in toddlers’ dietary patterns in the intervention group, indicated by increased intake of calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates after the educational intervention. TikTok-based education had an effect on toddlers’ dietary patterns and can be utilized as an effective health education medium for parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pohon Literasi Ceria media in strengthening reading literacy among elementary school students. This study was motivated by students’ low interest in reading due to the use of conventional and less interactive learning methods. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory model. The subjects consisted of 20 second-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation process included planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. During the implementation stage, students read books independently or with guidance, then wrote the results of their reading on “literacy leaves” and attached them to the Pohon Literasi Ceria media. The findings showed that this media was able to improve students’ reading interest, learning motivation, active participation, as well as their reading and simple writing skills. In addition, the media also helped enhance students’ communication skills through reading presentation activities. Although several obstacles were found, such as differences in reading abilities, limited learning time, and lack of varied reading materials, Pohon Literasi Ceria can still serve as an innovative learning medium for improving the quality of reading literacy learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the psychological phenomena of vocational students' learning through the lens of Vygotsky's Social Constructivism theory in the context of using Canva as an Agribusiness learning medium. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed through two direct classroom observation sessions in Grade X Agribusiness. Results reveal a gap between Canva's interactive potential and its one-way implementation, indicating that the principles of Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), scaffolding, and social mediation remain underutilized. These findings suggest that passive technology use inhibits active knowledge construction. This article recommends transforming Canva from a presentation medium into a collaborative constructive platform through think-pair-share strategies, visual artifact peer review, and advance organizers grounded in local agribusiness contexts.

Abstract

The research problem lies in the teaching and learning process, specifically low learning outcomes, students’ lack of understanding of fiqh, and low student motivation to learn; consequently, teachers need an animated video to optimize teaching and learning activities. This study aims to examine the teaching of fiqh through the use of animated videos in building student motivation at MIS Al-Hikmah Bojongsari, Depok. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Primary data were collected from the Fiqh teacher, while secondary data were obtained from interviews and document analysis conducted at MIS Al-Hikmah. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman flow method, comprising three stages: (1) Data Reduction, (2) Data Presentation, and (3) Drawing Conclusions. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results indicate that the use of animated videos effectively builds students’ motivation to learn, enables students to understand abstract and complex material, and increases student engagement during the learning process. Additionally, the use of animated videos helps students remember and understand Fiqh concepts better, resulting in better outcomes than conventional methods. This study emphasizes the importance of careful planning and teacher creativity in integrating animated video media to make learning more engaging and effective.

Abstract

This study examines how the language used by public officials in disaster situations constructs the meaning of crisis, shapes public perception, and affects government legitimacy. It is grounded in the phenomenon of officials’ communication that sparked public debate during the floods and landslides that struck Sumatra particularly Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra between late November and December 2025. The study employs Critical Discourse Analysis based on Norman Fairclough’s model, which consists of three dimensions: text, discursive practice, and social practice. The findings reveal that the choice of words, metaphors, and communication style of officials tend to frame the crisis in administrative and rational terms, which may shift attention away from the lived experiences of victims. At the level of discursive practice, officials’ statements are reproduced by the media and debated in the public sphere, generating multiple interpretations. Meanwhile, at the social level, tension emerges between public expectations of empathy and the way the state communicates the crisis. These results indicate that crisis communication is not merely about delivering information, but also about addressing emotional concerns and fostering a connection with the public. When empathy is not adequately conveyed, the distance between the government and society tends to widen, ultimately affecting public trust. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of more responsive, humane, and context-sensitive communication practices in maintaining government legitimacy during times of crisis.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in thermochemistry through the implementation of Wordwall-based game learning media using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative model. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class XI-3 at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. The research instruments included learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), observation sheets, and student worksheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods with the N-gain test to determine the improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 51.4% in cycle I to 94.3% in cycle II. The N-gain analysis also indicated an increase in students’ learning achievement categories. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of Wordwall-based learning media through the TGT model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in thermochemistry.

Abstract

This research was driven by the visible discrepancy between inclusive curriculum policies and the actual teaching practices for children with special needs in public elementary schools. The study aimed to identify the implementation of differentiated content, process, and product principles while evaluating how teachers adapted their strategies amidst a lack of formal administrative tools. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and classroom observations to capture the naturalistic interactions between teachers and students. The findings reveal that teachers perform a “differentiated adaptive” model, relying on pedagogical intuition to compensate for the absence of Individualized Education Programs and specialized special education teachers. While product differentiation effectively flourishes through modified assignments, the learning process remains largely teacher-centered, and student progress documentation lacks a systematic written track. This study concludes that the success of inclusive education in resource-limited settings depends heavily on the pedagogical courage of teachers to implement contextual and independent instructional improvisations.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of e-learning task design in Islamic Religious Educatio from a theoretical object-oriented approach to a narrative subject-based reflective approach. The study is motivated by the tendency of current e-learning practices to replicate conventional assignments, limiting students’ engagement and inhibiting the internalization of religious values. The objective of this research is to conceptualize a reflective narrative-based e-learning task model that promotes deeper spiritual awareness among students. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, analyzing relevant national and international scholarly literature on e-learning, student engagement, and reflective learning in religious education. The data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis to identify conceptual patterns and research gaps. The findings indicate that effective e-learning in PAI depends not on technological sophistication but on pedagogical transformation, particularly in designing tasks that encourage personal reflection and meaning-making. The study proposes a conceptual model consisting of stages including value stimulation, personal reflection, spiritual narrative construction, dialogic interaction, and reflective evaluation. This model positions students as active subjects who construct their own religious understanding through lived experiences. In conclusion, transforming e-learning task design into a reflective narrative framework enhances the meaningful internalization of Islamic values and supports the development of students’ spiritual identity in the digital era.
