Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of a design thinking approach in teacher professional development as a transdisciplinary strategy to foster curriculum innovation. Using a literature review, this research examines various academic sources and empirical studies that discuss the integration of design thinking in educational contexts, particularly in teacher training and capacity development. Findings indicate that design thinking not only enhances teachers' ability to design relevant and creative learning experiences but also fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, empathy for student needs, and increased flexibility and responsiveness to curriculum change. This approach strengthens teachers' position as adaptive and reflective learning designers in facing the complex challenges of the 21st century. Therefore, adopting design thinking in teacher professional development programs is considered strategic for generating contextual and sustainable curriculum innovation.

Abstract

Educational inequality in Indonesia remains a crucial issue that hinders the equitable distribution of human resources and national development. This study aims to identify the factors causing educational inequality and evaluate the effectiveness of policies and innovations implemented by the government to bridge social class differences. Using a literature review method, this study examines various literature, policy documents, and related research results. The findings reveal that educational inequality is influenced by economic and geographical disparities, the quality of educators, and access to educational facilities. Various policies such as the School Operational Assistance (BOS), the Indonesia Pintar Program (PIP), school zoning, and educational digitalisation have had positive impacts, but still face challenges in ensuring equitable access and quality. Cross-sectoral synergy, strengthening the implementation of affirmative policies, and sustainable innovation are needed to significantly reduce educational inequality in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to examine 21st century education transformation strategies in an effort to realise competitive human resources (HR) towards Indonesia's golden generation. Through a literature review, this research highlights the importance of changing the educational paradigm, developing a competency and character-based curriculum, and utilising technology in the learning process. The transformation of 21st century education emphasises the mastery of critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration (4C) skills, as well as digital literacy as the main capital to face global challenges. Challenges identified include access gaps, limited infrastructure, resistance to change and the need to strengthen teacher capacity. Proposed solutions include strengthening teacher training, updating the curriculum, equalising access to technology and cross-sector collaboration. The results of the study show that an integrated and adaptive strategy is needed to produce human resources that are superior, innovative and characterised, so that they are ready to compete in the global era and contribute to realising the Golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

Empowerment is an approach to enhance the capabilities or power of one party to the weaker or less powerful party. Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL) is a program that utilizes environmentally friendly yards, aimed at fulfilling food and nutritional needs, as well as increasing income to improve community welfare. Juhut Village has implemented KRPL since 2014 and has the potential for further development. This study aims to analyze the empowerment of the Bina Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT) through KRPL. The method used is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling in Juhut Village, Karangtanjung District, Pandeglang, Banten. The data used includes primary and secondary data, with a census method applied to 25 members of the KWT Bina Mandiri. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and literature studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and through tabulation. The results of the study indicate a significant impact on the increase in knowledge among KWT Bina Mandiri members regarding farming efforts, yard utilization, and fulfilling food needs through the KRPL program.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate how work stress mediates the intersection of personal and work life and employee performance. This intersection phenomenon is increasingly relevant in the modern, flexible yet demanding work environment, where the boundaries between domestic and professional life are often blurred. This study used a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with employees from various work sectors. The findings indicate that deadline pressure, home-work role conflict, family disruptions during work, lack of rest time, and minimal supervisor support are the main factors triggering work stress. Although work stress is often associated negatively, the results of this study indicate that in some cases, stress can actually motivate employees to perform optimally, making it a complex mediating factor. Perceptions of stress vary depending on individual coping capacity and the supportive work environment. Coping strategies used include time management, social support, separation of work-personal space, and relaxation activities. This study concludes that work stress is not always a barrier but can be a bridge to improved performance when managed appropriately. These findings have important implications for company policies, HR management, and the development of an adaptive and healthy work culture.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how operational efficiency is perceived to moderate the influence of cash flow and profit growth on the financial stability of companies, particularly in construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The approach used is qualitative, based on literature review and conceptual analysis. The results indicate that cash flow is considered a key indicator of business sustainability in the construction sector, while profit growth is understood as a signal of managerial success that requires critical examination. Operational efficiency, which encompasses cost control, project management, and technology utilization, plays a significant role in strengthening the positive impact of cash flow and profit on financial stability. However, contextual factors such as project delays, regulations, and material price fluctuations also influence the effectiveness of this relationship. This study emphasizes the importance of efficiency as an adaptive strategy in building long-term financial resilience in the dynamic and high-risk construction sector.

Abstract

The hazardous fire conditions at fuel stations threaten both residential and commercial sectors of Ghana. This study evaluated community perceptions regarding fire risks in gas stations and it measured both preparedness and fire safety educational levels. The researchers employed triangulated data collection tools using unstructured interviews, focus group discussions and observations which collected data from citizens, business owner and gasoline station employees. Study findings showed general public awareness about fire hazards but inadequate people had preparedness measures alongside weak adherence to rules throughout the community. The insufficient planning of many fuel stations close to residential areas created additional fire hazards due to inadequate town development practices. The report supports updated zoning rules that need better law enforcement combined with enhanced fire safety education and fire risk reduction activities involving local communities. The improvement of fire emergency readiness requires the establishment of fire hydrants together with standardized safety drills and increased enforcement of fire safety legislation. The planned steps will establish safer workplace environments in Ghana together with reduced gas station safety hazards.

Abstract

This study aims to identify challenges and formulate strategies for developing education in Indonesia's border regions through a literature review. The results of the study indicate that education in border regions faces various obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, a shortage of qualified teachers, a lack of facilities and infrastructure, and low motivation to learn due to socio-cultural and geographical factors. Development strategies that can be implemented include the development of educational infrastructure, strengthening contextual curricula, improving teacher capacity and welfare, utilizing educational technology, and empowering communities and multisectoral collaboration. The implementation of integrated and sustainable strategies is expected to accelerate the equalisation of access to and quality of education in border areas, while strengthening the identity and national awareness of the younger generation.

Abstract

The transformation of the School Management Information System (SIMS) is a strategic step in modernising education governance in the digital age. This article discusses the effectiveness, challenges, and solutions for implementing SIMS through a literature review. The results of the study indicate that SIMS can improve administrative efficiency, data accuracy, and transparency in education services. However, this transformation process still faces various obstacles, such as infrastructure limitations, low digital literacy, resistance to change, and data security issues. To optimise the benefits of SIMS, comprehensive solutions are needed in the form of infrastructure strengthening, digital literacy training, adaptive system development, and sustainable policy support. With this approach, SIMS can become a key pillar in realising effective and responsive school governance in the present day.
