Abstract

Community service is an important effort to improve the quality of life and the economy of the community, especially in rural areas. This activity was conducted in Cipajang Village, Banjarharjo District, Brebes Regency, Central Java, with the aim of enhancing the understanding of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participants about basic accounting and financial management. The partners in this community service initiative consisted of 30 local MSME participants who actively engaged in the training. The implementation method included delivering theoretical material on basic accounting principles, practical sessions on transaction recording, and evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants' knowledge improvement. The results indicated that the training successfully increased participants' knowledge, with average post-test scores significantly higher than those of the pre-tests. Additionally, feedback from participants showed a high level of satisfaction and a strong desire to attend follow-up training sessions. Despite some challenges, such as time constraints, this activity is expected to positively impact the economic empowerment of the village community. Through this program, it is hoped that MSME participants in Cipajang Village can become more self-sufficient and enhance their competitiveness in the local market. Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in Indonesia's economy, contributing more than 60% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and creating over 97% of employment opportunities. One promising sector is the processed fish food industry, which has great potential both in domestic and international markets. However, many business players, including BUMMas Inspirasi Negeri, have yet to fully maximize this potential due to limitations in business management and a lack of innovation in product packaging and marketing. Attractive and functional packaging, along with good management, has proven to be key factors in enhancing competitiveness, extending product shelf life, and strengthening brand identity. Additionally, consumers are increasingly drawn to unique packaging innovations. In the face of challenges such as market competition and limited technology, digital marketing has become essential for promoting products. Therefore, training on business management, packaging, and marketing through digital channels is crucial. The Community Service Team (PKM) from Esa Unggul University and Ma’soem University conducted a workshop for BUMMas Inspirasi Negeri, focusing on the processed fish food industry, to help business owners enhance professionalism, creativity, and product competitiveness. The outcomes of this workshop have improved the members' understanding of business management, upgraded packaging quality, expanded market reach, facilitated transactions through digital technology, and encouraged the economic well-being of the business operators

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a cross-disciplinary learning to observe and think of the problem solutions in the surrounding environment using a project-based learning approach. This community service aims to improve the character building and competency of SMPIT Al-Fikri students in implementing the P5 in sustainable lifestyle theme in terms of processing organic and inorganic wastes into valuable products. The products of organic waste processing include eco-enzymes, bar soap- and handwash-based eco-enzymes; inorganic waste processing products were ecobrics; and aromatherapy candles as products of used-cooking oil processing. As our partners, 132 students of SMPIT Al-Fikri, Makassar, attended this community service activity The method of this community service includes preparation and socialization; education and counseling in organic and inorganic waste processing; training and mentoring in making eco-enzymes, bar soap- and handwash-based eco-enzymes, ecobrics, and aromatherapy candles; activity evaluation through pre-posttest questionnaires. Our partners in this community service showed enthusiasm during discussions and practices, which are then able to improve their knowledge, attitudes, and skills in processing organic and inorganic wastes. Furthermore, we hope that our partners can apply their knowledge and skills in everyday life to to reduce environmental pollution and improve their quality of life

Abstract

Educational institutions are faced with faced with the three major sins of bullying, sexual violence and intolerance that impact on students' psychological well-being. Therefore, a comprehensive comprehensive intervention is needed as an effort to facilitate students with traumatic experiences. This training aims to provide insight Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers understand adventure-based counseling (ABC) as an effort to prevent and overcome trauma in individuals caused by bullying, sexual violence and intolerance. intolerance. The training program consisted of two phases: (1) an online workshop that introducing the concept of trauma in schools and the theoretical foundations of ABC, and (2) an offline training on practical ABC training offline using the APPLE Facilitation Model. Results The results of the training showed that, in general, trainees reported that the ease of in understanding the concept of types of traumata and ABC and applying it as part of the guidance and counseling of guidance and counseling services to address cases of bullying, sexual violence and intolerance

Abstract

In the rapidly accelerating era of globalization, soft skills have become crucial elements required by university graduates, alongside hard skills. Soft skills such as leadership, time management, self-management, and group management are essential in both the professional world and organizational settings. In the Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) at the Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA), many students still face challenges in developing these essential soft skills. Therefore, a structured and continuous soft skills development training program is necessary. This community service activity was conducted by the lecturers of Industrial Engineering at ITERA using coaching and simulation games to equip students with relevant soft skills for managing the organization. The coaching method was used to provide direct guidance, while simulation games were applied to train communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving in real-life scenarios. The training proved to be effective in enhancing students' leadership, time management, and self-management abilities, as well as helping them face challenges in organizational and professional settings. The PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) cycle was also implemented to evaluate and improve the organizational processes. The conclusion of this activity is that the development of soft skills plays a significant role in the success of student organizations and future careers. Several recommendations are provided to enhance the effectiveness of future training, including aligning the training materials with the specific needs of organizations and collaborating with professionals from various industries

Abstract

Today's technological developments are growing rapidly and entering all aspects of life, including education. This development should be utilized by teachers to create interesting and innovative learning. Interesting learning is not only determined by the way the material is delivered, but also by the media and resources used in the learning. In this digital era, teachers must be sensitive to it. Millennial era students are very proficient and dependent on technology, for this reason ateaching material is needed that can facilitate students in learning which can be accessed easily anywhere and anytime. The current Pandemic era requires learning to be done online. Library books certainly cannot be accessed from home. For this reason, teaching materials based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) are needed. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University as one of the LPTK has a moral responsibility in providing professional, competent, and creative educators. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out activities that can facilitate teachers to develop their abilities in designing and developing TPACK-based teaching materials. This activity aims to assist and develop teachers' abilities in developing creative and innovative teaching materials based on TPACK. In achieving this goal, the stages of the activity are designed, namely preparation of training modules and preparation of instructors, implementation including presentation of material from resource persons related to TPACK-oriented teaching materials, and conducting workshops and mentoring periodically. The last stage is evaluation which aims to measure the effectiveness of the program. The output of this activity is compiling TPACK-oriented teaching materials

Abstract

This community service focuses on the revitalization of pencak silat through the Serepan Patalekan Usik Sanyiru festival, by utilizing digital technology based on cultural visualization as an effort to create the first Penca Village tourism destination in West Java. The background of this service arises from concerns about the loss of the pencak silat tradition as an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. The main purpose of this activity is to revive the public's interest in pencak silat, as well as to increase people's understanding and skills in preserving this martial art. The methods used in this community service include socialization and training for the community about the Usik Sanyiru Matching pencak silat technique, as well as the application of digital technology to support promotion and documentation. This activity also involved students and lecturers from the Indonesian University of Informatics and Business in the revitalization process held in Jayagiri Village. The results of the service show an increase in community participation in pencak silat activities, as well as the formation of an active pencak silat community. In addition, the use of social media and digital technology in festival promotion has also succeeded in increasing awareness of the existence of pencak silat art among the younger generation. By directly involving the community and utilizing technology, this activity not only has a positive impact on the preservation of local culture, but also contributes to the development of the tourism industry in the area

Abstract

This Training on the Use of Google Earth Media aims to enhance teachers' skills and understanding in using interactive media as an effective learning tool. The training focuses on introducing Google Earth features, accessing relevant content, and implementing technology-based learning strategies. The training method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), which consists of preparation, implementation, and reflection stages. This activity was carried out at Inpres SKP F3 Arso Elementary School, Keerom Regency, with participants including the principal, classroom teachers, and subject teachers, totaling 13 people, on June 27, 2024. The training results showed an improvement in teachers' ability to use Google Earth; however, several limitations were identified, such as the lack of supporting devices and teachers' full understanding of this technology. The training had a positive impact on learning, but follow-up is needed by forming discussion groups for mentoring sessions to ensure the sustainability of interactive media use in the school environment

Abstract

This community service outreach activity discusses the mechanisms and management of cash waqf. This socialization was carried out because of the increasing distribution of cash waqf among the community and the many questions from the Al Muchtar Mutual Cooperation III Mosque recitation women regarding cash waqf procedures made the author interested in studying and holding outreach regarding cash waqf procedures. The aim of this socialization activity is to provide an understanding of cash waqf to recitation mothers with the hope that socialization participants can understand in detail about cash waqf. The methods used in this service are lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. The results of this service show that cash waqf management in Indonesia is grouped into two, namely cash waqf managed by sharia banks and private institutions. In practicing cash waqf, there are at least three things that must be considered. First, the method of collecting funds (fundraising), Second, managing the funds that have been successfully collected. Third, distribution of the results that can be created to the beneficiaries. Waqf money is jawaz (permissible) and is only allowed to be distributed to things that do not conflict with sharia. The principal value of waqf assets in the form of money must be guaranteed to be preserved, and cannot be sold, given away, and/or inherited

Abstract

This socialization aims to increase the understanding of KIP-Kemenag recipient students at STEBIS IGM about the importance of scientific writing skills in the academic and professional world. Through this socialization, students are expected to be able to understand the benefits of writing scientific papers in improving academic reputation and career development in the future. This socialization activity was carried out using lecture methods that provide in-depth explanations of scientific writing standards and procedures, question and answer sessions to answer various student questions, and discussions to encourage active participation and share experiences in writing. In addition, an evaluation was conducted to assess students' understanding and ability to plan scientific papers that meet academic standards. The results of the socialization showed increased student awareness of the importance of writing scientific papers as well as a better understanding of the use of supporting tools such as Turnitin and Mendeley. This socialization is expected to help students in completing academic tasks and prepare them for greater contributions in the academic environment in the future
