PUCUK REBUNG: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat [ 2798-8287 (online) | 2776-5334 (print) ] is a community service journal published by Jurusan Ilmu Pendidikan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau. The journal was first published in 2021 and published every May and November. The journal is open to authors around the world regardless of nationality. This journal publication aims to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services, particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: 1. <![CDATA[The teacher's profession requires writing skills to support career development and to keep learning so that teachers are obliged to write scientific papers. However, in reality, the willingness and ability of teachers to write scientific papers still need to be improved. Community Service aims to improve the ability of elementary school teachers in Batang and surrounding districts to improve their ability to write papers, which we focus on Class Action Research (CAR). The method used is through workshops and scientific papers assistance for elementary school teachers in Batang and surrounding districts. This community service activity is divided into two stages, namely the first stage of material exposure by trainers on scientific papers. The second stage is the scientific paper's activities conducted by all participants accompanied by trainers. The community education program which was initiated by the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program of STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang was carried out very well and the positive impression of all participants was the best program. The existence of training programs and mentoring of scientific writing is felt very useful by participants, because through this program teachers (participants) who follow this program get new knowledge in the creation of scientific papers, especially in the making of Class Action Research (CAR).]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin menyosialisasikan kelebihan buah ketapang yang masih belum dimanfaatkan oleh pihak SMP 6 Dumai. Buah ketapang yang dibakar menjadi arang ketapang ternyata dapat digunakan untuk penjernih air dan hasil saringan air yang diujikan adalah jernih, tidak berbau dan tidak berasa. Dalam penelitian pada miniatur sederhana filtrasi air menggunakan arang ketapang ternyata penggunaan arang ketapang dapat mengubah pH air. Hasil saringan dengan arang ketapang dapat berubah pH-nya mendekati pH netral dan layak dikonsumsi, di mana air yang layak dikonsumsi ini berada pada pH 6,5-8,5. Pada air gambut didapat pH = 7,93; air karat didapat pH = 7,9; air tanah liat didapat pH =7,53; air parit didapat pH = 6,3 dan air sungai didapat pH =7,9. Dari penelitian ini diyakinkan kepada masyarakat bahwa arang ketapang dapat digunakan menjernihkan air dan menetralkan pH air.]]>

<![CDATA[Pendampingan belajar menjadi kebutuhan primer bagi para siswa yang sudah sangat jenuh dalam menghadapi belajar daring. Kegiatan pendampingan belajar akan mampu menaikkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Maka dengan itu disusunlah program yang dapat membantu mitra, yaitu siswa/i di SDN Sangkanwangi 1 dengan matode pendampingan yang bersifat santai dan menyenangkan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara rutin di SDN Sangkanwangi 1 selama 30 hari. Kegiatan ini meliputi, pemberian motivasi, materi, tanya jawab, permainan dan reward bagi siswa/i yang aktif mengikuti. <![CDATA[Students who are recipients of the KIP Lecture scholarship should not only have extensive knowledgebut must also have various skills. Both hard skills are skills related to science and technology, and softskills are skills related to emotional intelligence. However, in reality, many students still do not knowor realize the importance of hard and soft skills in their lives. This community service aims to develophard and soft skills through training and mentoring. Before determining the type of activity, a needsanalysis was carried out to map the difficulties and needs of students. Furthermore, the implementationof training and mentoring is divided into three types of activities: the field of technology, the field ofwriting, and the field of self-development. After all, activities are carried out, and an evaluation is carriedout by filling out a questionnaire. So it was found that the community service program carried out bythe STAI Auliaurrasidin Tembilahan lecturer team gave a good impression so the participants wanted afollow-up program. In addition to gaining a lot of new knowledge and skills, participants can alsodevelop hard and soft skills because the activities are varied with an intense schedule.]]>

<![CDATA[The era of the Education Revolution 4.0 has now been felt and become a part of the education process and has an impact on the action of realizing teacher professionalism. With regard to educational issues as stated above, the purpose of implementing this article is to provide knowledge and skills for teachers in making classroom action research reports so that they can increase their professionalism. The method of this training activity is carried out by lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and mentoring. This activity was attended by 24 participants from elementary school teachers throughout the city of Surabaya who had filled out the online registration (google form). The result of this training was that the knowledge and skills of teachers increased and were able to lead to the realization of professional teachers. This can be seen from the results of the training evaluation data analysis, which overall participants rated this activity in the very satisfactory category with a score range of 55-64. The training materials that have been mastered by the participants are good practice in classroom learning, the nature of classroom action research reports, writing classroom action research reports, and disseminating classroom action research reports. Mentoring is done by reviewing class action research reports from participants to be presented and provide feedback for improvements. Dissemination by submitting relevant educational journals and classroom action research journals to be published from the trainees.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to make socialization about the benefits of the ketapang fruit which has not been utilized by SMP 6 Dumai. Ketapang fruit that is burned into ketapang charcoal can actually be used for water purification and the results of the tested water filter are clear, odorless and tasteless. In research on simple miniature water filtration using ketapang charcoal, it turns out that the use of ketapang charcoal can change the pH of the water close to the pH of neutral water. Filter results with ketapang charcoal can change the pH to close to neutral pH and suitable for consumption, where the water suitable for consumption is at a pH of 6.5-8.5. In peat water obtained pH = 7.93; rust water obtained pH = 7.9; clay water obtained pH = 7.53; ditch water obtained pH = 6.3 and river water obtained pH = 7.9. From this research, it is convinced to the community that ketapang charcoal can be used to purify water and neutralize the pH of the water.]]>

<![CDATA[This service activity aims to enable participants to organize a Counseling Guidance program for students. This Counseling Guidance can help solve or prevent problems for students at school and in the family. The methods for implementing community service activities are lectures, demonstrations, and simple exercises in implementing guidance programs for students in elementary schools. The target of training activities in implementing this counseling guidance program is elementary school education teachers in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Outcomes of Service Activities: (a) elementary school education teachers understand the basic concepts of counseling guidance, (b) basic concepts of counseling guidance in elementary schools, (c) Simple practice of implementing counseling guidance programs (types of BK services) tailored to student needs (c) primary school education teachers can implement types of counseling and guidance services that can be applied in primary school education, (f) discussions and questions and answers to discuss and explain things that participants as feedback for the trainer do not understand. Then, after the activity implementation, a new understanding was obtained for elementary school teachers that they could use BK services to solve student problems according to student needs, whereas homeroom teachers at the elementary school level.]]>

<![CDATA[Sungai Petai village has a tourism sector that has the potential to build the economy and community welfare. The Tapian hometown tourist area has been open since 2022. There is still much work to be done in this tourist area. Currently, the Tapian area of the hometown provides tourism with various facilities. Among them are facilities like gazebos, Street Food, and baths. Our goal in serving Sungai Petai Village, especially in the Tapian Halaman Kampung Tourism Area, is to develop existing tourism potential. To create a good area or tourist village, it is better to continue to carry out more intense development. This is intended to attract visitors who will come to the tourist area. Our service results in creating creative waste education boards and promotional videos for tourism. With this, it is hoped that it can help increase public awareness of cleanliness in villages and tourist attractions and improve the quality of tourist areas in the village so that it can open up many jobs in these places. Thus, the economy of local communities will experience an increase.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this workshop is to provide teacher knowledge and skills in digital-based reading cornersfor teachers as teacher knowledge and skills in managing digital-based reading corners in overcoming the school literacy movement. The method of activities carried out consists of three activities: pre- activity, implementation of activities, and post-activity. The pre-activity activity is an initial assessment activity to obtain the reasons for the teacher/activity participant to take part in the activity. Meanwhile, the activity of implementing the activity was carried out by providing a list of questions to the teacher/participant containing the teacher's initial knowledge about digital literacy. then proceed with the delivery of the material. The third activity is post-activity, which is an activity to process data obtained from the responses of participants/teachers before and after the activity is carried out. The results of the digital-based reading corner management workshop activity can improve the knowledge and skills of teachers in managing reading corners in schools. This can be shown by the active participation of participants in activities starting from the beginning of delivering material that plays an active role until the end of the activity and also the teacher's ability to carry out assigned activities. given two weeks after the workshop was carried out which was proven by the collection of workshop assignments which were uploaded to the google]]>
