Abstract

Islamic values are often considered to hinder self-development, a mistaken assumption that deviates from the true teachings of Islam. Learning religion from an early age actually increases an individual's capacity to grow wiser, more analytical, and more resilient in facing problems, and to distinguish between benefits and harms. This research in Bojongsari Village, Banyumas, examines the strengthening of Islamic values in adolescents as a preventive strategy against the influence of Western-style sexual behavior that is increasingly prevalent in the era of globalization. Using a qualitative approach, the study results show that internalizing faith, morals, and worship successfully forms a moral barrier. Support from family, religious leaders, and educational institutions through religious studies, spiritual guidance, and contextual religious literacy has proven effective in shaping a strong Islamic character. Thus, strengthening Islamic values is a strategic step to ensure adolescents maintain noble morals and are not easily eroded by cultures that conflict with religious teachings.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious nutritional problem that requires immediate attention. In Malaka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, the prevalence of stunting remains high due to poor sanitation and ineffective organic waste management. This community service program aims to increase public awareness and skills in utilizing organic waste to produce eco-enzyme and its derivatives, such as eco-enzyme-based liquid soap. The program was conducted from July to November 2025, involving 33 participants representing local government, community leaders, and informal community figures. The activity explained the relationship between sanitation and stunting through discussions and demonstrations on producing eco-enzyme from household organic waste. Evaluation through pre- and post-tests showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge of sanitation, stunting, and organic waste management. Community-based education on eco-enzyme has proven to support food security and environmental health while contributing to reducing the risk of stunting.

Abstract

Environmental health and personal hygiene are important aspects in improving the quality of life of the community. Indhotun Nasyi'in Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan is an Islamic educational institution that functions to build the character and awareness of students about the importance of environmental health and personal hygiene. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct education to increase students' awareness and knowledge about environmental sanitation and personal hygiene. An educational and participatory approach, using posters, was used to increase students' knowledge. The average age of participants was 14.46±1.456 years, 63% were female, 67% were students in grades 7 and 8, and 84% were from Lamongan. There was a significant increase in students' knowledge (p-value 0.001) after receiving education. The average score of students increased, from 8.22 in the pre-test to 9.04 in the post-test. This program also successfully identified that most students did not understand the concept of waste management based on the 4R principle, namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Replace. Therefore, the community service team plans follow-up activities to develop habits that can be applied in the students' daily lives.

Abstract

Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Wasur National Park is an association of civil servant wives who play an important role in women's empowerment, particularly in supporting food security and improving household economies. These efforts are carried out through the utilization of small plots of land and the processing of kitchen waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and plant-based pesticides. Training activities were conducted using lectures, question and answer sessions, practical demonstrations, and direct discussions with participants. From this series of activities, DWP members gained knowledge and skills in processing kitchen waste into useful products. The utilization of kitchen waste into POC and plant-based pesticides is a simple yet highly impactful step, as it not only helps reduce the volume of household waste but also adds value to the environment. Vegetable scraps, fruit peels, and food residues can be transformed into products that support environmentally friendly agriculture. Through this activity, DWP members can become more empowered in managing household waste while producing useful products to support food self-reliance and enhance family economic value.

Abstract

Limited healthcare personnel and low adoption of digital technology in rural areas have resulted in manual screening and health data recording processes. This condition affects the early detection of chronic and infectious diseases and reduces the accuracy of Posyandu data. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the competence of health cadres in Cot Mancang Village, Aceh Besar District, through three main trainings is health cadre competency improvement, digital-based health services, and strengthening health education capacity. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test on six main variables: application understanding, chronic diseases, infectious diseases, cadre roles, digital data, and follow-up actions. Results showed an average score improvement of 6.2%, from 0.77 to 0.84, with the highest increase in the infectious disease variable (0.50 to 0.88). These findings demonstrate that BagahTP.com effectively supports cadres in screening, early detection, and accurate health data recording at the Posyandu level.

Abstract

The training on the use of website-based learning methods in elementary schools still faces several challenges, particularly due to teachers’ limited ability to use digital technology to enhance students’ memory retention. This study aims to implement training on website-based expansion methods as a tool to help teachers optimize learning strategies so that the material becomes easier for students to remember at SDN 80/1 Muara Bulian. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved several teachers and collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation during the training activities. The results showed that the training helped teachers design digital activities, organize interactive materials systematically, and increase student engagement. The website’s automatic evaluation feature also facilitated teachers in monitoring students’ memory development. Overall, the training proved effective in supporting adaptive, structured, and memory-oriented learning processes.

Abstract

Waste management issues in Serang Regency, particularly in Desa Cerukcuk, have become a major concern due to the increasing volume of waste that polluting rivers, roadsides, and residential areas. To date, Serang Regency does not have land or facilities for a permanently operating Final Waste Disposal Site (TPSA). This situation has significant environmental impacts and indicates a gap between infrastructure needs and policy implementation practical reality. This study aims to evaluate the commitment of the Serang Regency This community service program focuses on optimizing independent fish feed production through the implementation of a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) combined with a mini Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in Parangargo Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency. The program was designed to address the challenges of high commercial feed costs and dependence on grid electricity that have burdened local fish‐farming groups. The activities included socialization, training in independent fish feed production, installation of the RAS and mini PLTS technologies, business management mentoring, and outcome evaluation. The results show that energy efficiency increased by 20–30% after the installation of the mini PLTS, while feed costs decreased by 10–15% due to the availability of self-produced fish feed. The RAS technology also improved water quality and reduced fish mortality, leading to approximately a 10% increase in production per cycle. Moreover, the managerial and digital marketing skills of the partner groups—“Minaargo” Fish Farming Group and “Matoon” Youth Organization—significantly improved. This program strengthens the village’s food and energy independence and supports the achievement of the university’s Key Performance Indicators.

Abstract

Information technology has become an important instrument in public health services, including in needs surveys and health education. This community service activity aims to implement Google Forms as a needs analysis survey tool and evaluate the effectiveness of adolescent reproductive health education in Loa Ulung Village, Kutai Kartanegara. The method used is community education with a pre-post test design approach using digital platforms. A needs survey was conducted on 46 adolescents aged 10-19 years using Google Forms to identify educational material priorities. Survey results showed four main priorities: smoking hazard socialization, adolescent reproductive health (HIV/AIDS), sexually transmitted infections, and mental health-substance abuse. Mental health education implementation showed score improvement from 6.70 to 7.04 (p=0.136), while HIV/AIDS education increased from 7.43 to 7.80 (p=0.155). Although the increase was not statistically significant, there was an improvement in adolescent knowledge. The educational game "VIRAL" (Verify Information, Reject All Lies) effectively increased understanding of HIV/AIDS myths and facts. Google Forms utilization proved efficient in remote data collection and community needs analysis, supporting health information technology implementation in remote areas.
