Abstract

Xiosena is a Figma-based prototype system created to enhance user experience in the online boutique dress ordering process. As digital commerce grows rapidly, especially within the fashion industry, seamless and aesthetically pleasing interfaces are vital to attract and retain users. This research presents the design and development of a high-fidelity prototype utilizing UI/UX principles through Figma to simulate the customer journey in ordering boutique dresses. The research methodology consisted of four main stages: requirements analysis, prototype design, usability testing with the System Usability Scale (SUS), and evaluation. The prototype emphasized clarity, ease of navigation, and appealing visuals. Results from usability testing conducted with 10 participants yielded an average SUS score of 83.5, indicating an excellent level of usability. These results validate the effectiveness of using prototyping tools in early-stage design, especially in domains requiring customized interactions like fashion e-commerce. This study contributes to the field of UI/UX development by demonstrating how prototyping with Figma can bridge the gap between user expectations and functional design in fashion-related digital platforms.

Abstract

Kota Pari Village is a developing village or can be categorized as an independent village. Waste is one of the problems experienced by this village. Waste generation in this village mostly comes from household waste which is a type of organic waste and the low level of public knowledge about waste management, especially organic waste, further exacerbates the situation in Kota Pari Village so that the waste problem becomes more complex and needs to be addressed immediately. The purpose of this activity is to carry out waste management through the use of insects (maggot cultivation) and microorganisms (composting) to reduce organic waste generation. This activity was carried out on June 1, 2024 until October 30, 2024. The methods used were identifying problems, conducting socialization, preparing containers and materials and training. The community that participated in this program showed a very good reaction and participated in all series of activities actively. The cultivation of maggot and composting of organic waste that has been carried out can foster community awareness in managing organic waste properly and can be a solution and strategy in reducing organic waste in the village environment.

Abstract

Scientific argumentation skills are an essential foundation in science learning, as they help students think critically, express opinions scientifically, and make decisions based on evidence. Unfortunately, this skill has not yet been optimally developed among junior high school students, mainly due to limited opportunities to practise in a supportive classroom environment. This study aims to identify the need for developing Student Worksheets (SW) based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with Local Socio-Scientific Issues (LSSI), as an effort to enhance students' scientific argumentation skills. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study involved an initial argumentation skills test and a needs survey distributed to science teachers. The results showed that most students still fall into the low category regarding scientific argumentation skills, and many teachers do not yet have teaching tools to support these skills. However, there is significant potential for integrating the SSI-based approach into science education, mainly since teachers are already accustomed to using active methods in topics such as environmental pollution. These findings are an essential foundation for designing contextual and relevant worksheets, enabling students to learn science and become critical thinkers and caring citizens engaged with the issues around them.

Abstract

The research is grounded in the importance of classroom physical environments in creating a conducive learning atmosphere and promoting broader social interactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of seating arrangement patterns on students’ communication interaction and understanding of cultural diversity in Grade IV at UPT SP SDN 268 Towuti. Initial observations revealed limited interaction among students, who mostly communicated only with their seatmates. Therefore, a strategic seating arrangement approach is needed to enhance engagement and cultural awareness among students. This study employs a quantitative approach using path analysis. The subjects were 27 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through documentation and questionnaires, both of which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and t-tests. The results indicate that seating arrangement patterns have a significant influence on both communication interaction and students’ understanding of cultural diversity. Group-based seating arrangements proved to be the most effective in fostering student interaction and enhancing their appreciation of diversity. These findings align with Vygotsky’s constructivist theory, which emphasizes the role of social interaction in learning, and with Johnson & Johnson’s perspective on the importance of group cohesion in developing tolerance and empathy in the classroom. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers implement collaborative seating arrangements and that schools support flexible classroom layouts.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of foreign language proficiency, digital literacy, and learning agility on the sustainability of women-led MSMEs in rural tourism, with digital literacy as a mediator and learning agility as a moderator. Guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior, Social Cognitive Theory, and Human Capital Theory, a quantitative explanatory design was employed using PLS-SEM on data from 300 women entrepreneurs in Samosir, Indonesia. Findings indicate that foreign language proficiency does not directly predict sustainability (β = 0.082; p = 0.080) but has a strong indirect effect via digital literacy (β = 0.393; p < 0.001). Language skills act as enablers rather than stand-alone drivers. Foreign language significantly enhances digital literacy (β = 0.837; p < 0.001), which in turn strongly predicts MSME sustainability (β = 0.469; p < 0.001). Learning agility also directly contributes (β = 0.414; p < 0.001) but does not moderate the language-sustainability link (β = −0.011; p = 0.238). The study advances theory by identifying digital literacy as a mediator and learning agility as an independent enabler. Practically, it recommends integrated, culturally grounded training. The primary limitation is its single-regional focus, suggesting future cross-regional, longitudinal, and conditional modeling.
