Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of volunteers in the implementation of the literacy program at Rumah Pintar Punggur Cerdas, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The low literacy rate in Indonesia highlights the importance of community-based non-formal education, in which Rumah Pintar functions as a strategic learning center. Volunteers play a crucial role as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in ensuring the sustainability of the literacy program. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving active volunteers and program organizers at Rumah Pintar Punggur Cerdas. The findings show that volunteers act as facilitators by assisting reading activities and creating an inclusive learning environment; as motivators by fostering reading interest and building emotional connections with participants; and as innovators through the use of media, technology, and creative ideas tailored to community needs. However, the implementation of these roles faces several challenges, such as the limited number of volunteers, inadequate facilities, and the lack of community support. These findings emphasize that volunteer involvement is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of community-based literacy programs. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the study of non-formal literacy education as well as practical insights for strengthening the role of volunteers in literacy initiatives.

Abstract

This study conducts an in-depth exploration of work engagement and learning agility contributions in strengthening Generation Z employee loyalty through a systematic literature review approach covering the 2021-2025 publication period. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology with PRISMA protocol was applied to analyze 13 peer-reviewed journal articles extracted from academic repositories including Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Selection criteria encompassed empirical publications exploring a minimum of two out of three core variables with a focus on samples or specific discussions regarding Generation Z characteristics. Findings indicate that work engagement, particularly in the emotional engagement aspect, demonstrates significant dominance in Gen Z employee retention with a coefficient value of β = 0.68. Learning agility is identified as playing a mediating mechanism role that connects organizational capabilities with manifestations of workforce innovative behavior. Gen Z loyalty characteristics are conditional and value-oriented, with primary determinants including job satisfaction, work-life balance, work motivation, and employer branding. Holistic integration of both constructs reveals effectiveness superiority compared to conventional paradigms. The research produces a Generational Loyalty Framework that underscores purpose-driven work, emotional connection, and continuous learning as essential foundations of Gen Z loyalty. Applicative implications encompass formulation of meaningful engagement strategies, development of experiential learning-based agility programs, and adoption of flexible work arrangements to optimize digital era talent retention

Abstract

The existence of street vendors (PKL) has become a continually relevant topic of discussion over time. Street vendors are often perceived as a social problem within community structures. On the other hand, their presence significantly contributes to the circulation of the local economy. This study aims to identify the social interaction patterns of street vendors in the Digulis Area of Pontianak. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, while data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews. The instruments used for data collection include observation sheets and interview guidelines, which were designed based on George Simmel’s theory. Data analysis techniques employed in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification as proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results show that the social interactions among street vendors in the Digulis Area of Pontianak occur in a harmonious and dynamic manner. Conflicts rarely occur due to collective awareness of maintaining harmony, while competition still exists but takes place in a healthy way. In addition, cooperation and social exchange are evident through practices of mutual assistance, borrowing trading materials, and sharing information among vendors. The form of social domination that emerges is economic in nature and is accepted reasonably, as it is perceived as a result of each vendor’s strategy and hard work. Overall, the social interaction patterns of street vendors reflect a balance between cooperation, competition, exchange, conflict, and domination as described by George Simmel.

Abstract

Children in conflict with the law are entitled to receive education and rehabilitation while serving their sentences in the Juvenile Correctional Institution (LPKA). Education serves not only as an academic right but also as a means of moral and social rehabilitation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Package C Program for juvenile inmates at LPKA Class II Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya Regency, focusing on the aspects of planning, implementation, and outcomes. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving LPKA officers, PKBM Khadijah educators, and juvenile participants. The findings indicate that the Package C Program was implemented through participatory planning based on learners’ needs, collaborative execution between LPKA and PKBM Khadijah, and continuous evaluation. The program positively impacted the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and social development of the inmates. It not only functioned as an educational program but also as a medium for character formation and social reintegration. Conceptually, the implementation reflected non-formal education principles that are flexible, humanistic, and contextual, aligning with the objectives of the correctional system to build independent, responsible, and productive individuals. The study concludes that non-formal education within LPKA effectively supports the rehabilitation and empowerment of children in conflict with the law. Further research is recommended to strengthen experiential learning models and improve facilities and psychosocial support to enhance the sustainability of equality education programs in correctional institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the central role of the Tajo Dance in the Bohien Dohik healing ritual performed by the Dayak Hibun community in Parindu District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. The Tajo Dance is understood as a spiritual medium that connects humans, ancestors, and Penompo (God), and serves as an essential element in restoring balance between the physical world and the spiritual realm. This study aims to describe the role of the Tajo Dance in the Bohien Dohik healing ritual. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnocoreological and anthropological approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Tajo Dance, which is performed only at the highest levels of the ritual (levels 5, 6, and 7), functions as a medium to persuade the Minu (spirit) to return to the patient’s body, while also acting as a means of negotiation and reconciliation with spiritual entities. Through forty-four sequences of ancestral games, this dance presents symbolic elements of movement, costume, and ritual structure that reflect the spiritual journey of the Bohien. Overall, the Tajo Dance is not merely a form of artistic expression, but a core component that affirms cultural identity, strengthens social solidarity, and sustains the traditional healing system of the Dayak Hibun community. This study provides an important contribution to understanding local wisdom and the urgency of preserving ritual arts rooted in customary traditions.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes to 21st-century education. This study aims to analyze the utilization of digital technology in the learning process and its impact on students’ learning outcomes. The method used is qualitative with a literature review approach that identifies, evaluates, and synthesizes various previous studies published between 2020 and 2025. Data were obtained from national and international journals indexed in SINTA, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. The findings indicate that the integration of digital technology through the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia applications, and interactive media has a positive effect on students’ motivation, engagement, and academic achievement. Teachers’ digital competence, institutional support, and the availability of infrastructure are key factors determining the success of digital technology implementation. However, several challenges remain, such as limited access, digital literacy gaps between teachers and students, and unequal education policies. In the long term, the use of digital technology contributes to the development of learning independence, critical thinking skills, and collaborative abilities that are essential for lifelong learning. Therefore, the use of digital technology must be balanced with strengthened digital literacy, improved infrastructure, and continuous pedagogical innovation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in diverse cultures and traditions, one of which can be found in West Kalimantan, known as the “Land of a Thousand Rivers.” In Landak Regency, the Dayak Kanayatn community continues to preserve their ancestral heritage through the Balala’ Traditional Ceremony, a one-day fasting or quiet period as an expression of respect to God (Jubata), nature, and their ancestors. However, modernization has led to a decline in the younger generation’s interest in maintaining this tradition. This study aims to analyze strategies for preserving the Balala’ Traditional Ceremony using Talcott Parsons’ AGIL theory, which includes the functions of Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency (Pattern Maintenance). The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through observation, semi structured interviews, and documentation. The results show that the community has adapted the tradition to modern developments while maintaining its spiritual and social purposes, strengthening social integration through collective participation, and preserving cultural values through regeneration and the use of digital media.
