Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of information technology in integrated quality management of Islamic education at MIS Ashhabul Qur'an Bukittinggi. Using descriptive qualitative research methods and a case study approach, this research explores how information technology is integrated in various aspects of educational management, such as student data management, the learning process, and communication between schools and parents. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observation and documentation studies involving the school, teachers, administrative staff and parents. The results showed that the application of information technology at MIS Ashhabul Qur'an Bukittinggi has brought positive impacts in improving administrative efficiency, enriching the learning process, and facilitating communication between the school and parents. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, teachers' readiness to operate technology and resistance to change are still obstacles that need to be overcome. This study recommends the importance of continuous training for teachers, updating technology devices and improving infrastructure facilities to ensure a more optimal implementation of technology. The application of information technology in this school can serve as an example for other Islamic education institutions to improve the quality of education management in order to achieve better education quality.

Abstract

This article analyzes the interaction between teachers and students through the story of This study examines pedagogical transformation through a critical perspective, focusing on the deconstruction of marginalization mechanisms in contemporary education systems. Through the method of critical content analysis of academic documentation for the 2020-2024 period, the research explores how reproductive pedagogical practices limit students' subjectivity. Paulo Freire's theoretical framework of critical consciousness is used to dismantle hidden power relations in educational institutions. Studies show that education is not just a transmission of knowledge, but a complex arena of ideological battle. The research proposes the pedagogic of love and the dialogical approach as liberation strategies, in which teachers and students are equally involved in the construction of knowledge. Key recommendations include the deconstruction of an exclusive curriculum, the development of a pedagogical model that respects subjective experience, and the development of an inclusive institutional culture. The contribution of the research lies in providing an alternative conceptual framework that positions education as a transformative practice that dismantles the mechanisms of systemic oppression.

Abstract

This article analyzes the interaction between teachers and students through the story of Prophet Moses and Khidr in QS. Al-Kahf verses 60–82. Using a qualitative approach and literature study method, it draws insights from the interpretations of Jalalain and Ibn Kathir to highlight the educational values of wisdom and patience. The study organizes its findings into three areas: character development (patience, refraining from quick judgment, recognizing limitations), pedagogical approaches (dialogue, application of wisdom, experiential learning), and the creation of an inclusive learning environment. The examination of key events such as the perforated boat, the killing of the young man, and the repair of the wall demonstrates the importance of patience in facing situations that seem illogical. These lessons offer practical implications for Islamic Religious Education (PAI), supporting teachers in making mature decisions and guiding students towards emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. Integrating these values into education fosters a reflective, supportive, and thoughtful learning atmosphere, enriching both the intellect and character in accordance with Islamic teachings

Abstract

The dissolution of a family unit through divorce represents a significant social phenomenon with a profound impact on children's psychological and academic development. The impetus for this study is the rising incidence of divorce in Kajai Village, Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia which has resulted in a range of challenges for children affected by these circumstances. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of parental divorce on children's learning styles and its subsequent effect on their academic performance. A qualitative research approach was adopted, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviewing and document analysis. The research subjects comprised children affected by divorce, their parents, and school personnel, who were selected as key informants for the purposes of this study. The data were subjected to descriptive and analytical analysis in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by the children. The findings indicate that parental divorce has an impact on children's psychological well-being, which in turn affects their learning styles and academic performance. It is evident that children who have experienced parental divorce often display a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, including difficulties in maintaining concentration, feelings of sadness, guilt and excessive anxiety. Such difficulties have the potential to have a detrimental impact on their learning outcomes. Nevertheless, some children were able to develop adaptive strategies and demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement. It is of great significance to consider the role of supporting factors, such as family support, the school environment, and individual resilience, in determining the varying responses of children to divorce. This research makes a novel contribution to the field by elucidating the diverse learning styles of children from divorced families, a topic that has been underexplored, and delineating the supporting factors that can facilitate children's adaptation. It is anticipated that the findings of this study will inform the provision of appropriate psychological and academic support for children affected by parental divorce, and serve as a reference for families, schools and policymakers.

Abstract

Differences in views between fiqh madhhabs often trigger debates, both in society and academia. Not infrequently, these differences lead to serious conflicts. This study aims to map the learning outcomes and teaching materials for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Budi Pekerti, especially the Fiqh element in the Merdeka Curriculum, based on the opinions of the madhhabs. This research seeks to identify which madzhab is most dominantly used in teaching materials, as well as provide convenience for educators in designing learning methods that are in accordance with the characteristics of students and the applicable curriculum. The research method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. The results show that PAI teaching materials in the Merdeka Curriculum are mapped by referring to the opinions of one particular madhhab, although in some parts other madhhab views are found. This finding is expected to be a reference for educators in developing inclusive and contextual learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of event management in transforming the soft skills of students in the Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. Soft skills are non-technical competencies that are important for students' readiness to enter the workforce, such as communication, teamwork, time management, and leadership. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research involved 63 students actively involved in organizing more than ten academic and student activities during the 2023/2024 academic year. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and activity documentation. The research findings indicate that students' direct involvement in every stage of event management—from planning, coordination, implementation, to evaluation—significantly contributes to strengthening their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. The integration of Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and work ethic reinforces students' character and professionalism in the context of teamwork and leadership. Institutional support in the form of faculty mentoring and infrastructure also plays a role in optimizing this experience-based learning process. This study concludes that event management can serve as an effective contextual learning strategy for the holistic development of students' soft skills. Recommendations are provided to integrate soft skills enhancement into the curriculum, expand interdisciplinary programs, and strengthen faculty training to ensure optimal guidance.
