Abstract

Table tennis is a sport that is often played by many people because it is an easy and interesting sport to play and is also a sport that is popular with many people, not only teenagers, but also elderly people, both men and women. But many players also don't know and understand the basic techniques of table tennis. The aim of this training is to provide knowledge and insight into basic table tennis techniques to students at SD 119 Belalang in Mataran Village. The problems found in elementary school 119 Grasshopper students did not master the basic techniques in playing table tennis. The method used in this service is the training method. The participants in this basic engineering training were 16 students from SD 119 Belalang. The result of implementing this training is that students can demonstrate increased knowledge and skills in performing basic table tennis techniques including basic techniques of serving, bet grip, smash, backhand and forehand strokes so that this training makes SDGs point 4 namely quality education implemented.

Abstract

Pastry is a type of cake or dough-based food made from flour, fat (such as butter or margarine), water, and sometimes eggs, which generally has a layered and crispy texture. Pastry can be sweet or savory, and is often the base for dishes such as pies, tarts, and other pastries. This community service activity aims to provide training and mentoring to students of Teacher Training Schools (SMK) to be able to produce quality pastries. This community service was carried out at SMK Kristen Margoyudan with the methods used, namely counseling, training and mentoring. The training participants were SMK students with the consideration that SMK students were designed to become workers who were ready to enter the world of work. Training and mentoring were carried out for 1 day, training was carried out by providing training accompanied by direct mentoring by the service team. The results of this service activity were an increase in the level of pastry knowledge, participation level, and activeness of service participants. The achievement indicators were measured by the high level of participation, participant commitment to participate in training and mentoring until completion and the existence of sample pastry products. The result of this activity is reports and articles published in the national community service journal

Abstract

The development of library management constitutes a crucial aspect in enhancing the quality of education and fostering community literacy. School libraries fulfill a fundamental role as vital learning resource centers; however, numerous institutions continue to encounter significant challenges in operational data management and the effective utilization of technology. This community service initiative aimed to develop and implement a "Dashboard Cerdas"(or Smart Dashboard) to optimize library services at SD Negeri 2 Berkoh. The methodology employed encompassed initial observation, comprehensive data collection pertaining to book characteristics and visitor patterns, the iterative development of the interactive data visualization-based "Dashboard Cerdas", and a subsequent questionnaire-based evaluation. Findings from the field implementation indicate the successful deployment of the "Dashboard Cerdas", which has significantly facilitated systematic and transparent data management. Respondents, comprising library managers and a representative teacher, expressed high levels of satisfaction regarding the improved ease of management and the “Dashboard Cerdas” demonstrated potential in enhancing service effectiveness and stimulating student reading interest. The implications of this system are substantial, it not only augments library operational efficiency and the digital literacy of the staff but also contributes meaningfully to efforts aimed at elevating student literacy through the provision of improved, data-driven library services.

Abstract

Optimizing international marketing strategies is a significant challenge faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including Batik Giriloyo business actors in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, in an effort to expand global market penetration. Various obstacles such as limited access to international markets, minimal use of digital technology for marketing, and weak cross-country cooperation networks are the main obstacles in business expansion. To overcome these problems, an empowerment program has been implemented which includes creating an e-commerce account through the Shopify platform and holding an international webinar entitled "Penetrating the Global Market: Batik Giriloyo's Successful Strategy in the International Arena" as a means of increasing promotion and global business networks. The program implementation method includes intensive training in the use of digital technology, global marketing strategies, and cross-cultural communication, which significantly increases brand visibility and forms partnerships with international resellers. The results of the activity show that the integration of digital technology in a marketing strategy based on local cultural values ​​is able to provide strong competitive differentiation for MSMEs, especially in the context of preserving the cultural heritage of batik as the identity of a superior product. As a form of follow-up, it is recommended to strengthen digital training, increase strategic collaboration with international partners, and develop marketing strategies that highlight local wisdom values, in line with the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the aspect of community service.

Abstract

Housewives play a crucial role in shaping children's character and supporting family economics. However, limited access to parenting education and entrepreneurial skills hinders their optimal contribution in both areas. This community service initiative aims to empower housewives in Karangwaluh Village, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency through an integrated program combining parenting education and entrepreneurship training. The "Great Parent School" (Sekolah Orang Tua Hebat/SOTH) model was adapted as an intervention platform, enhanced with an entrepreneurship module. The program involved 25 housewives and was conducted in four sessions covering parenting principles, emotional intelligence, home-based business development, and financial literacy. Methods included lectures, group discussions, simulations, and business practice. Evaluation results indicated an increase in parenting knowledge (from 55% to 80%) and entrepreneurial understanding (from 45% to 75%). The program effectively enhanced mothers' skills in household management while building additional economic capacity. This model is recommended for replication in other rural areas.

Abstract

Srowot Village in Banyumas Regency has a promising group of batik artisans but still faces challenges in marketing and financial record-keeping. This community service activity aims to increase income and business sustainability through training in digital marketing and digital financial recording. The methods used include training on the use of social media and e-commerce platforms, branding strategies, and financial recording using simple applications such as Google Sheets or similar tools. The activity also involved students and lecturers from various fields as facilitators and companions during implementation. The results show that members of the group have begun to understand the benefits of digital marketing; several have created business accounts and started recording transactions digitally. However, challenges remain in managing promotional content, maintaining consistent financial records, and dealing with limited devices and poor internet access. In conclusion, training and mentoring have significantly improved the group’s digital capacity, but continued strategies, accessible educational materials, and sustained assistance are needed to ensure optimal and consistent implementation over the long term.

Abstract

The development of digital technology provides great opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to expand market reach and increase competitiveness. MSME Dejarumi, as one of the local business groups, still faces various obstacles in terms of marketing and optimal use of digital technology. This community service activity aims to support the increase in the capacity of MSME Dejarumi through optimization of digital marketing based on an integrated website. The implementation method includes needs analysis, integrated website development, digital marketing training and assistance, assistance and monitoring, as well as program evaluation and improvement. The results of the activity show that the existence of an integrated website can increase product visibility, simplify the transaction process, and expand market access. In addition, MSME actors also experienced an increase in understanding and skills in managing digital marketing independently. Thus, this program has succeeded in encouraging the sustainable improvement of the economy and competitiveness of MSME Dejarumi through targeted digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the forms of local wisdom preserved by the indigenous community of Kampung Pulo in Garut Regency, West Java, and examine their role in maintaining cultural continuity and communal identity. Kampung Pulo is known as one of the traditional Sundanese villages that firmly uphold ancestral values amidst the pressures of modernization. Using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the community's local wisdom is reflected in spatial arrangements, traditional ceremonies, social norms, and belief systems that are inherited across generations. Moreover, these traditions contribute to environmental conservation, social cohesion, and the transmission of values to younger generations. This study underscores the importance of preserving local wisdom as a cultural stronghold that holds not only historical value but also relevance for sustainable development and the reinforcement of local identity.

Abstract

Basic Life Support (BLS) training was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan to improve students’ knowledge and preparedness in emergency situations. This community service activity aimed to increase understanding of BLS principles and promote emergency readiness within the school environment. The method applied was a mixed approach combining surveys, direct observation, and practical simulation training. Pre-test and post-test assessments measured knowledge improvement, while participant feedback and observation evaluated behavioral changes. Results showed a significant increase in average test scores from 55% to 85%, with 90% of participants responding positively to the training and demonstrating greater confidence in applying BLS techniques. The program effectively enhanced students’ awareness and practical skills, contributing to a safer school environment. Challenges included limited training equipment and initial participant confidence levels, which suggest the need for additional resources and ongoing training. Future development is recommended to include more comprehensive simulation tools, training for teachers as internal trainers, and integration of BLS materials into the school curriculum to sustain long-term impact. This community service successfully empowered the target group to be more responsive and prepared for emergency situations, promoting a culture of safety.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve students’ sense of responsibility in group work through the implementation of a Quantum Learning model integrated with Multiple Intelligences (MI) at SMP Negeri 23 Bandung. The background of this initiative lies in the low levels of active participation and responsibility among students during group learning activities in Social Studies (IPS) classes. The target audience included ninth-grade students and Social Studies teachers. The activities involved teacher training, classroom facilitation, and direct observation of students’ collaborative behavior. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and MI questionnaires, then analyzed thematically. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ responsible behavior, demonstrated by timely task completion, active contributions, and self-reflection on group roles. In addition, Social Studies teachers enhanced their capacity to apply adaptive learning approaches that accommodate students’ diverse intelligences. This program had a positive impact on fostering a collaborative learning culture that supports the unique potential of each learner.
