Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

The absence of a standardized instrument contextualized for Indonesian students was a primary problem motivating this research, which aimed to develop and validate the Mathematics Learning Motivation Scale (MLMS) for junior high school students. This study employed a systematic instrument development process. The scale was constructed based on a synthesis of motivation theories, specifically operationalizing four key aspects: choice of tasks, effort, persistence, and self-confidence. These aspects were formulated into 30 Likert-scale items. The validation method included content validity, which was established through expert judgment from two education experts, and construct validity. The subjects for the validation trial were 31 eighth-grade students from a junior high school in Boyolali. The primary instrument used was the 30-item MLMS questionnaire itself. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 22. The results from the Pearson product-moment correlation showed that all 30 items were valid, with each item's rcalculated score exceeding the rtable value of 0.355 at a 5% significance level. Furthermore, the reliability analysis reported a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.917, demonstrating very high internal consistency. It was concluded that the developed MLMS is a valid and highly reliable instrument, suitable for objectively measuring mathematics learning motivation in this specific student context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menegtahui bagaimana Pengaruh Latihan Fartlek Dan Circuit Training Terhadap Peningkatan Vo2max Pada Siswa Extrakurikuler Futsal di SMAN 15 BONE. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunkan desain penelitian kelompok eksperimen A latihan Fartlek dan kelompok eksperime B latihan circuit training, Desain model kedua Two Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Bone dengan Jumlah siswa Sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil analisis diketahui bahwa latihan latihan fartlek terhadap peningkatan vo2max siswa extrakurikuler SMAN 15 Bone. Setelah mendapatkan latihan fartlek dan latihan circuit training, peningkatan kemampuan vo2max siswa 4,73 %. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa latihan latihan circuit training terhadap peningkatan vo2max siswa extrakurikuler SMAN 15 Bone. Setelah mendapatkan latihan circuit training, peningkatan kemampuan vo2max siswa 5.0% lebih besar peningkatanya dibanding latihan fartlek.

Abstract

An environment rich in cultural diversity plays an important role in shaping children's social identities from an early age. The diversity of cultures, ethnicities, languages, and values present in daily interactions has a significant impact on how children see themselves and others. This study aims to explore the impact of a multicultural environment on children's social identity development and to identify supporting and hindering factors for students at IT Sabbihisma High School. For this research, the method applied is descriptive qualitative, with data collected thru observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to children's social development and multicultural education. Analysis findings indicate that direct interaction with diversity can strengthen empathy, tolerance, inclusive attitudes, and children's ability to build a positive social self-concept. The family, school, and peer environment serve as key elements that strengthen the development of social identity in a multicultural context. However, the presence of stereotypes, social prejudice, and a lack of understanding of culture can be obstacles in this process. This research emphasizes the importance of planned multicultural encouragement thru inclusive educational and parenting approaches to maximize children's social identity development.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan kelompok yang rentan terhadap masalah kesehatan fisik dan psikososial, sehingga diperlukan intervensi promotif preventif yang komprehensif di tingkat komunitas. Program Bimbingan, Obrolan, Skrining, Talkshow, dan Edukasi Remaja (BOOSTER) dikembangkan sebagai respons kebutuhan tersebut di Desa Polorejo, Ponorogo. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi permasalahan kesehatan remaja melalui skrining form Integrasi Layanan Primer (ILP) serta mengevaluasi efektivitas intervensi edukatif yang diberikan. Metode mencakup skrining terhadap 102 remaja untuk memetakan tekanan darah, perilaku merokok, dan indikator kesehatan jiwa, serta pre post test pada 28 peserta untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil skrining menunjukkan tiga isu utama yaitu, tekanan darah tinggi (31,37%), perilaku merokok (10,46%), dan masalah psikososial termasuk ketidaksukaan terhadap tubuh (11,8%). Temuan ini menjadi dasar pemilihan fokus intervensi Program BOOSTER yang dilaksanakan pada 26 Januari 2025. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa dari peserta yang awalnya memperoleh nilai pre test kurang baik, 96,42% berhasil mencapai skor baik pada post test. Observasi kegiatan juga memperlihatkan partisipasi aktif dalam sesi melukis emosi dan peracikan minuman herbal sebagai pembelajaran langsung. Secara keseluruhan, pendekatan edukasi partisipatif melalui Program BOOSTER efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan remaja.

Abstract

Sandey Village, Angata District, South Konawe has rice husk waste potential reaching 390 tons per year that has not been optimally utilized. On the other hand, SME "Zidan Roster" as a brick craftsman faces problems of high production costs (IDR 900,000/truck of conventional materials) and product quality that does not meet SNI standards. The purpose of this activity is to transfer rice husk ash-based interlocking block technology to improve economic efficiency and address environmental problems. The implementation method uses a "Technology Transfer and Community Empowerment" approach through five stages: preparation and baseline assessment, laboratory trials, technology transfer and implementation, evaluation and product testing, and consolidation and sustainability. Based on previous research results, the optimal formula used is: cement 30%, sand 35%, rice husk ash 35%, with water-cement ratio of 0.5. Results show that interlocking block products meet SNI standards with compressive strength of 26.5 kg/cm² and water absorption of 25%. Monitoring and evaluation showed that 90% of partners mastered BATASIK (Rice Husk Ash Interlocking Block) production skills. Economic impacts include 30-40% production cost efficiency and 25-30% income increase. Environmental impacts include rice husk waste utilization and CO₂ emission reduction. This program successfully created a sustainable community empowerment model through environmentally friendly technology innovation.

Abstract

The provision of public goods and services is a primary function of government in a modern economic system due to their nature, which cannot be optimally provided by market mechanisms. Public goods have the characteristics of non-rivalry and non-excludability, which give rise to market failures and require state intervention to ensure equitable provision. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the government's role in the provision of public goods and services in Indonesia, with a focus on the theoretical basis, forms of government intervention, and implementation challenges in strategic sectors such as education, health, security, and infrastructure. The research method uses a library research approach through analysis of academic literature, scientific journals, official government reports, and public economics textbooks. The analysis is conducted descriptively and qualitatively to integrate theoretical concepts with policy practices in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesian government plays a role as a direct provider, regulator, and facilitator of cooperation in the provision of public goods. Although government policies have improved access to and the quality of public services, challenges such as inter-regional disparities, budget constraints, and governance issues continue to limit the effectiveness of public goods provision. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening fiscal capacity, improving spending quality, transparency, and policy innovation as strategies to optimize the government's allocation function in supporting inclusive and sustainable development.

Abstract

Adolescents living in boarding schools face unique social dynamics, where intensive peer interactions may trigger social pressure and self-comparison. This study aims to examine the effect of peer pressure and social comparison on depressive tendencies among adolescents in Boarding School X. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was used. The respondents were 165 students aged 13–18 years. Data collection instruments included adapted versions of the Peer Pressure Inventory (PPI), the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM), and the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that peer pressure and social comparison simultaneously had a significant effect on depression (F = 19.202, p < 0.001) with a 19.2% contribution. Partially, social comparison had a significant positive effect on depression (t = 4.645, p < 0.001), while peer pressure had a significant negative effect (t = –3.162, p = 0.002). These findings indicate that in the boarding school context, peer pressure serves as a protective factor, while social comparison increases the risk of depression.

Abstract

Infidelity is a common phenomenon in marriage and is now occurring frequently in workplace settings. This study aims to examine the effect of marital satisfaction and self-esteem on attitudes toward infidelity among working early adults. A quantitative approach with a causal associative research design was used. The respondents were 350 early adults aged 20–40 years. Data collection instruments included adapted versions of the Attitude towards Infidelity Scale (ATIS), the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale (EMSS), and the Rosenberg Self- Esteem Scale (RSES). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that marital satisfaction and self-esteem simultaneously had a significant effect on attitudes toward infidelity (p = 0.001) with a 19.7% contribution. Partially, marital satisfaction had a significant negative effect on attitudes toward infidelity (t = –0.239, p = 0.000), and self-esteem also had a significant negative effect (t = –0.330, p = 0.000). These findings indicate that both marital satisfaction and self-esteem serve as protective factors for attitudes toward infidelity.

Abstract

Uric acid is one of the main causes of chronic inflammatory arthritis in Indonesia, characterized by the deposition of monosodium urate (MSU) monohydrate crystals in the tissues. Gouty arthritis is a non-communicable disease often experienced by elderly people caused by a lack of understanding about foods that have high purine content. The purpose of writing this article is to determine the normal levels of uric acid in the elderly. This community service was carried out at the Damai Ranomuut Manado Werdha Panti with a total of 35 elderly people. The methods used were counseling and uric acid examination. The results showed that 16 elderly people had high uric acid levels, consisting of 14 women and 2 men.

Abstract

Banjir bandang yang melanda Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara menimbulkan kerusakan fisik dan tekanan psikologis yang signifikan bagi masyarakat, sehingga membutuhkan penanganan cepat dan terorganisasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Gunung Leuser sebagai bentuk aksi peduli kemanusiaan melalui pendistribusian bantuan darurat, pendampingan psikososial, serta edukasi kesiapsiagaan bencana di Desa Gammawar Lawe Sagu Hulu dan wilayah terdampak lainnya. Metode kegiatan meliputi asesmen cepat, koordinasi lintas pihak, distribusi bantuan, serta pelaksanaan sesi trauma healing dan sosialisasi mitigasi bencana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar masyarakat meningkat signifikan, dukungan psikososial memberikan dampak positif bagi anak-anak, serta pemahaman masyarakat mengenai kesiapsiagaan dan tindakan darurat mengalami peningkatan. Evaluasi kuantitatif dan kualitatif memperlihatkan bahwa kehadiran tim kemanusiaan memberikan rasa aman, meningkatkan solidaritas sosial, serta memperkuat ketangguhan komunitas dalam menghadapi bencana. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi berbasis masyarakat dalam upaya pemulihan pascabencana. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model intervensi yang dapat dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan di wilayah rawan bencana lainnya.
