Journal of Community Empowerment is multidisciplinary scientific journal in the field of empowerment and community Service, published by the English Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram with a publication period of two times in one year, namely in June and December. This journal covers some general problems from the results of research implemented to the community services including (1) social humanities, science, applied science, economic, health, cultural, ICT Development, and administration services, (2) Training and improvement in the results of educational, agricultural, information and communication, and appropriate technology, (3) community empowerment, students community services, local food security, marketing, and less developed region. The purpose of this journal publication is to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of service to the community. This journal accepts manuscript in Bahasa or English.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Kampus mengajar merupakan program yang memfasilitasi mahasiswa melakukan program MBKM yang terfokus untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi pada siswa SD atau SMP. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, khususnya siswa-siswi di SMP Negeri 5 Kumai dan menambah soft skill mahasiswa, menanamkan empati, dan mendorong pembangunan nasional dengan cara menambah motivasi pendidikan di lingkungan masyarakat. Metode pengabdian dibagi menjadi beberapa tahapan, yaitu kegiatan pra-penugasan, penugasan, dan pasca penugasan. Kegiatan Rencana Aksi Kolaborasi (RAK) terdiri dari penguatan literasi, numerasi, mitigasi perubahan iklim, dan adaptasi teknologi. Kegiatan RAK terdiri dari revitalisasi perpustakaan dan mading, pojok baca, literasi lima belas menit, ultrasi games matematika, dan menghafal seru perkalian. Untuk topik transformasi digital juga dilakukan kegiatan emotional inbox, menulis cerita menggunakan komputer, movie education, dan Green School. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan sebesar 3% untuk literasi dan 27% untuk numerasi. Namun, hal ini tetap mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan terhadap kedua keterampilan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan kampus mengajar dapat menjadi kegiatan yang memiliki manfaat dan kontribusi yang nyata bagi pendidikan di Indonesia dengan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi, numerasi, dan adaptasi teknologi melalui pendekatan student center learning yang kreatif, inovatif, dan menyenangkan. Kata kunci: Kampus Mengajar; MBKM; Rencana Aksi Kolaborasi; Literasi; Numerasi. ABSTRACTCampus teaching is a program that facilitates students to conduct MBKM programs that focus on improving literacy and numeracy skills in elementary or junior high school students. The purpose of this activity is to provide community service, especially to students at SMP Negeri 5 Kumai, and to add to students' soft skills, instill empathy, and encourage national development by increasing educational motivation in the community. The service method is divided into several stages, namely pre-assignment, assignment, and post-assignment activities. Collaborative Action Plan (RAK) activities consist of strengthening literacy, numeracy, climate change mitigation, and technological adaptation. The RAK activities consisted of revitalizing the library and magazine, reading corners, fifteen-minute literacy, ultrasi games, and memorizing fun multiplication tables. For the topic of digital transformation, emotional inbox activities, writing stories using computers, movie education, and Green School were also carried out. The result of this service was an increase of 3% for literacy and 27% for numeracy. However, this still indicates an improvement in both skills. Therefore, teaching campus activities can be an activity that has real benefits and contributions to education in Indonesia by improving literacy, numeracy, and technology adaptation skills through a student-centered learning approach that is creative, innovative, and fun. Keywords: Teaching Campus; MBKM; Collaborative Action Plans; Literacy; Numeracy.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Pengolahan limbah ternak menjadi kompos dipandang sebagai solusi yang tepat untuk mengurangi pencemaran sekaligus memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi bagi peternak. Tujuan kegiatan adalah peningkatan keterampilan produksi kompos bagi peternak di Kelompok Ternak Ngiring Simpang. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung pembuatan kompos dengan melibatkan 20 orang anggota kelompok ternak Ngiring Simpang Desa Rarang Kecamatan Terara. Evaluasi kegiatan dengan instrument pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya keterampilan teknis dalam proses pembuatan kompos sebesar 75 %. Capaian lainnya adalah peningkatan kemampuan kognitif peserta 80%. Peserta mampu mengikuti setiap tahapan, mulai dari pengumpulan bahan, pencampuran, fermentasi, hingga pematangan kompos. Antusiasme peserta terlihat dari keterlibatan aktif selama proses pelatihan, meskipun masih terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan peralatan yang sederhana. Penerapan eco farming system melalui pengolahan limbah peternakan menjadi kompos mampu menjawab permasalahan limbah sekaligus meningkatkan kapasitas kognitif dan psikomotor peternak dalam mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan Kata kunci: Keterampilan; Kompos; Desa Rarang. ABSTRACTProcessing livestock waste into compost is seen as an appropriate solution to reduce pollution while providing added economic value for livestock farmers. The objective of the activity was to improve compost production skills among livestock farmers in the Ngiring Simpang Livestock Group. The activity method used a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, including socialization, training, and hands-on composting practice involving 20 members of the Ngiring Simpang Livestock Group in Rarang Village, Terara District. The activity was evaluated using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results of the activity showed a 75% increase in technical skills in the composting process. Another achievement was an 80% increase in participants' cognitive abilities. Participants were able to follow each stage, from collecting materials, mixing, fermentation, and cooking the compost. The participants' enthusiasm was evident in their active involvement throughout the training process, despite challenges such as limited equipment. The implementation of an eco-farming system through processing livestock waste into compost can address waste issues while also improving the cognitive and psychomotor capacities of livestock farmers in supporting sustainable agriculture. Keywords: Skills; Compost; Rarang Village.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Di tingkat provinsi, pengelolaan sampah di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) menunjukkan tantangan operasional dan kebutuhan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat. Pemerintah Daerah DIY telah mendorong penerapan ekonomi sirkular sebagai solusi terhadap persoalan sampah, dengan menekankan pada prinsip 5R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery, Rethink). Hal tersebut juga berperan sebagai strategi utama untuk menurunkan beban TPA dan meningkatkan praktik pengelolaan berbasis masyarakat. Kondisi ini menegaskan pentingnya intervensi edukasi dan program lokal yang berkelanjutan. Dalam konteks tersebut, kegiatan “Edukasi dan Sosialisasi Perempuan Berdaya Lingkungan dan Ekonomi di Bank Sampah Gondangan Sejahtera” hadir sebagai bentuk nyata dari sinergi antara kesadaran lingkungan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan. Program ini bertujuan pada peningkatan kapasitas perempuan dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga, pelatihan daur ulang, serta penguatan nilai ekonomi melalui sistem tabungan dan produksi berbasis limbah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan berbasis edukasi dan sosialiasi. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan hasil pretest-post-test, serta kuisoner. Jenis sampah yang terbanyak yaitu plastik sejumlah 87,30% dan kertas 92,70%. Sedangkan sampah organik paling sedikit dikumpulkan ke Bank Sampah dikarenkan nasabah dihimbau untuk mengolah secara mandiri sampah organik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sampah anorganik dapat dikaryakan menjadi sirkular ekonomi sehingga perempuan dapat berdaya ekonomi dan lingkungan.Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar dan antusias. Para peserta memberikan tiga pertanyaan mengenai tips pengolahan sampah organik di rumah terutama nasi basah. Kemudian narasumber dapat menjawab pertanyaan dengan baik. Rata-rata hasil pretest yaitu 54,53% dan hasil post-test 86,67%, dengan peningkatan 32,13%. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa edukasi dan sosialisasi ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan pengurus Bank Sampah Gondangan Sejahtera.Kata kunci: Bank Sampah, Peran Perempuan, Ekonomi, Lingkungan. ABSTRACTAt the provincial level, waste management in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) shows operational challenges and the need to increase community participation. The Yogyakarta Regional Government has encouraged the implementation of the circular economy as a solution to the waste problem, by emphasizing the 5R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery, Rethink). It also serves as a key strategy to reduce the burden on landfills and improve community-based management practices. This condition confirms the importance of sustainable local educational interventions and programs. In this context, the activity "Education and Socialization of Women with Environmental and Economic Empowered at the Gondangan Sejahtera Waste Bank" is present as a tangible form of synergy between environmental awareness and women's economic empowerment. This program aims to increase women's capacity in household waste management, recycling training, and strengthen economic value through a waste-based savings and production system. This activity was carried out with an education-based and socialization-based counseling method. Primary data were obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and pretest-post-test results, as well as questionnaires. The most types of waste are plastic at 87.30% and paper at 92.70%. Meanwhile, the least organic waste is collected at the Waste Bank, and customers are encouraged to process organic waste independently. This shows that inorganic waste can be made into a circular economy so that women can be economically and environmentally empowered. This community service activity ran smoothly and enthusiastically. The participants gave three questions regarding tips for processing organic waste at home, especially wet rice. Then the resource person can answer the question well. The average pretest result was 54.53% and post-test result was 86.67%, with an increase of 32.13%. This proves that this education and socialization can increase the knowledge of the management of the Gondangan Sejahtera Waste Bank.Keywords: Waste Banks, Women's Role, Economy, Environment.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Pengelolaan keuangan keluarga masih menjadi tantangan bagi sebagian besar ibu rumah tangga, terutama dalam penerapan prinsip ekonomi syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberdayakan ibu-ibu Ranting ‘Aisyiyah Kramatsari Kota Pekalongan melalui literasi keuangan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan berbasis nilai Islam untuk mewujudkan keluarga sakinah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh tim dosen Universitas Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan (UMPP) menggunakan metode pelatihan interaktif, diskusi, simulasi pencatatan keuangan, peluncuran aplikasi digital AmanaFin, serta workshop kewirausahaan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test terhadap 72 peserta pada indikator literasi keuangan syariah, motivasi berwirausaha, kemampuan pencatatan keuangan, dan penerapan teknologi digital. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada seluruh aspek, dengan literasi keuangan syariah naik 25,4%, motivasi berwirausaha 26,6%, kemampuan pencatatan 28,7%, dan penguasaan aplikasi digital 35,6%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi literasi keuangan syariah, kewirausahaan, dan digitalisasi pencatatan dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan serta memperkuat nilai moral dan religius dalam pengelolaan keuangan keluarga. Kata kunci: literasi keuangan syariah;  kewirausahaan; keluarga sakinah; ibu rumah tangga; aplikasi digital.  ABSTRACTManaging household finances remains a challenge for many housewives, particularly in applying Islamic economic principles. This study aims to empower the mothers of Ranting ‘Aisyiyah Kramatsari, Pekalongan City, through financial literacy and entrepreneurship training based on Islamic values to foster a harmonious and productive family (keluarga sakinah). The program was implemented by the faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan (UMPP) using interactive workshops, discussions, financial record simulations, the launch of the digital application AmanaFin, and entrepreneurship coaching. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test assessments among 72 participants on indicators of Islamic financial literacy, entrepreneurial motivation, financial recording skills, and digital technology usage. The results indicated significant improvements across all indicators, with Islamic financial literacy increasing by 25.4%, entrepreneurial motivation by 26.6%, financial recording ability by 28.7%, and digital application proficiency by 35.6%. These findings demonstrate that integrating Islamic financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and digital financial tools can serve as a sustainable community empowerment model while strengthening moral and religious values in household financial management. Keywords: Islamic financial literacy; entrepreneurship; harmonious family; housewives; digital application

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Perkembangan media sosial menuntut generasi Z untuk memiliki literasi dan kreativitas digital yang kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat literasi dan kreativitas digital siswa SMAN 4 Singaraja melalui pelatihan produksi konten digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif, melibatkan 25 siswa anggota ekstrakurikuler sinematografi dan fotografi “Lensa Foursma”. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi hasil karya siswa, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam merancang ide, memproduksi, dan mengevaluasi konten digital yang komunikatif, kreatif, dan etis. Selain itu, peserta memperoleh pemahaman mengenai narasi, estetika visual, dan kolaborasi tim dalam proses produksi, sehingga pelatihan ini menjadi model efektif untuk mengembangkan literasi dan kreativitas digital generasi Z di lingkungan sekolah. Kata kunci: kreativitas digital; literasi digital; produksi konten; siswa Gen Z; SMAN 4 Singaraja ABSTRACTThe development of social media requires Generation Z to possess strong digital literacy and creativity. This study aims to strengthen the digital literacy and creativity of students at SMAN 4 Singaraja through digital content production training. The method used was qualitative descriptive with a participatory-educative approach, involving 25 students from the school’s cinematography and photography extracurricular club, “Lensa Foursma.” Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of students’ works, and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate an improvement in students’ abilities to design ideas, produce, and evaluate digital content that is communicative, creative, and ethical. In addition, participants gained an understanding of narrative, visual aesthetics, and team collaboration in content production. Therefore, this training serves as an effective model to develop digital literacy and creativity among Generation Z students in the school context. Keywords: content production; digital creativity; digital literacy; Gen Z students; SMAN 4 Singaraja.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPetani kopi di wilayah Gunung Arjuna, Desa Bocek, Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang menggunakan pupuk kimia untuk perawatan tanaman, karena faktor kemudahan mendapatkan pupuk kimia. Sementara, UD. Kopi Java Indonesia merupakan roaster kopi yang berperan sebagai buyer hasil panen kopi lereng Gunung Arjuna memiliki kebutuhan kualitas produk green bean tersertifikasi organik untuk pasar ekspor. Melalui Program Doktor Mengabdi Pengembangan Kemitraan (DM-PK), Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Brawijaya (DRPM UB) menyelenggarakan pendampingan pertanian organik dan keberlanjutan (sutainability). Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan kesiapan petani kopi dalam sertifikasi organik dengan pelatihan dan praktik pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran hewan. Petani kopi sejumlah 20 orang dan 1 orang pemilik roster kopi menjadi mitra DM-PK. Metode kegiatan terdiri dari pelatihan sertifikasi organik, praktik pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran hewan dan evaluasi kesiapan implementasi kopi organik. Mitra kegiatan DM-PK UB terdiri dari 20 petani kopi lereng Arjuna dan 1 roaster kopi. Waktu pelaksanakan kegiatan DM-PK UB pada bulan Oktober dan November 2025 di CV Kopi Java Indonesia, Desa Bocek, Karangploso, Malang. Penjelasan materi diikuti praktik secara langsung oleh petani memerikan manfaat dan dapat meningkatkan kesiapan sertifikasi kopi organik. Hasil evaluasi dengan nilai overall 4.1 menunjukkan petani kopi lereng Gunung Arjuna “Siap” untuk implementasi kopi organik.Kata kunci: Kopi; Pupuk; Organik; Pelatihan.ABSTRACTCoffee farmers in the Mount Arjuna area, Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency, use chemical fertilizers for plant care due to the ease of obtaining them. The objective of the activity is to improve the readiness of coffee farmers for organic certification through training and practice in making organic fertilizer from animal manure. Twenty coffee farmers and one coffee roster owner are DM-PK partners. The activity method consists of organic certification training, practice in making organic fertilizer from animal manure, and evaluation of readiness for implementing organic coffee. DM-PK UB's partners consist of 20 coffee farmers from the slopes of Arjuna and one coffee roaster. The DM-PK UB program will be implemented in October and November 2025 at CV Kopi Java Indonesia, Bocek Village, Karangploso, Malang. The material will be explained, followed by hands-on practice by farmers, highlighting the benefits and improving readiness for organic coffee certification. The evaluation results, with an overall score of 4.1, indicate that coffee farmers on the slopes of Mount Arjuna are "Ready" for organic coffee implementation. Keywords: Coffee; Fertilizer; Organic; Training.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Tanjung Gading di Kelurahan Karang Joang, Kota Balikpapan, merupakan destinasi wisata potensial dengan karakter lanskap alam, budaya lokal, serta keberadaan camping ground yang unik. Namun, kawasan ini belum berkembang optimal akibat beberapa permasalahan utama, yaitu ketiadaan infrastruktur visual penanda kawasan, rendahnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam promosi wisata, serta terbatasnya kapasitas masyarakat dalam produksi dan pengelolaan konten. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat identitas visual destinasi, meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat, dan memperluas jangkauan promosi wisata berbasis teknologi. Program dilaksanakan melalui lima tahapan: sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan strategi keberlanjutan. Mitra sasaran adalah Pokdarwis Wisata Tanjung Gading yang beranggotakan masyarakat lokal, dengan total 19 peserta aktif terlibat dalam pelatihan dan proses produksi konten digital. Intervensi utama dalam kegiatan ini meliputi pembangunan gapura camping ground sebagai identitas visual kawasan, pengembangan website resmi yang terintegrasi dengan virtual tour 360°, serta pelatihan konten digital mencakup fotografi, videografi, storytelling, dan pengelolaan media sosial. Hasil awal kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penguatan branding destinasi. Gapura yang telah selesai dibangun kini menjadi landmark baru sekaligus meningkatkan visibilitas kawasan. Website wisata dan virtual tour yang sedang dikembangkan terbukti membuka akses informasi yang lebih luas bagi calon wisatawan. Selain itu, pelatihan konten digital berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam menghasilkan materi promosi yang lebih menarik, konsisten, dan relevan. Kolaborasi antara akademisi dan Pokdarwis mendorong terbentuknya kemandirian komunitas dalam pengelolaan wisata berbasis digital, sehingga program ini berpotensi memberikan dampak berkelanjutan bagi pengembangan Tanjung Gading sebagai destinasi wisata berbasis komunitas. Kata Kunci: Gapura Camping Ground; Digitalisasi Wisata; Virtual Tour; Brand Identity; Pemberdayaan Masyarakat ABSTRACTTanjung Gading, located in Karang Joang Village, Balikpapan City, is a potential tourism destination characterized by its distinctive natural landscape, local cultural atmosphere, and unique camping-ground access. However, the area has not been optimally developed due to several key challenges, including the absence of visual infrastructure to mark the tourism zone, limited utilization of digital technology for promotional activities, and insufficient community capacity in producing and managing digital content. This community engagement program aims to strengthen the destination’s visual identity, enhance digital literacy among local residents, and expand tourism promotion through technology-based interventions. The program was implemented through five stages: socialization, training, technology deployment, mentoring, and sustainability reinforcement. The primary partner of this initiative is the Tanjung Gading Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), involving a total of 19 active participants in training sessions and content production activities. Core interventions include the construction of a landmark gate for the camping-ground area, the development of an official tourism website integrated with a 360-degree virtual tour, and digital content training covering photography, videography, storytelling, and social media management. Initial results indicate a significant improvement in destination branding efforts. The newly constructed gate has become a recognizable landmark that enhances the visibility and identity of the tourism area. The ongoing development of the website and virtual tour has opened broader access to information for potential visitors. Moreover, the digital content training has successfully improved the community’s ability to create promotional materials that are visually appealing, consistent, and contextually relevant. The collaborative work between academics and the Pokdarwis contributes to building community independence in managing digitally driven tourism promotion, positioning the program to deliver sustainable impact on the development of Tanjung Gading as a community-based tourism destination.Keywords: Gapura Camping Ground; Tourism Digitalization; Virtual Tour; Brand Identity; Community Empowerment

Abstract

ABSTRAKDi Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, 32 kecamatan dan 159 desa memiliki angka stunting tinggi. Selain, itu, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya masih dalam kondisi rawan pangan.Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota KWT (Kelompok Wanita Tani) Teratai dan keterampilan mereka dalam melakukan pengolahan talas menjadi muffin, sebuah inovasi olahan dari bahan pangan lokal. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan 2 tahap yaitu : 1) Sosialisasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Juli 2025 bertempat di sekretariat KWT Teratai. Dalam kegiatan ini telah disampaikan  tujuan, manfaat, dan rencana kegiatan pengabdian, 2) Pelatihan, 3) Monitoring dan evluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu pertama, edukasi kepada anggota KWT Teratai, melalui penyuluhan mengenai manfaat, zat gizi talas serta cara pengolahan talas yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7 Agustus 2025. Sebelum diberikan edukasi, peserta diminta mengisi pre-test mengenai pengetahuan, kemudian peserta diminta mengisi post-test. Setelah diberikan edukasi, terdapat peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari pre-test (54,453) ke post-test (91,087). Tahap kedua adalah praktik pengolahan talas menjadi muffin. Setelah diberikan pelatihan berupa praktik pengolahan talas menjadi muffin, anggota KWT Teratai memiliki keterampilan dalam mengolah talas menjadi muffin. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan Pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani Teratai melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pengoahan talas menjadi muffin terbukti telah meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota KWT Teratai dan keterampilan mereka dalam melakukan pengolahan talas menjadi muffin. Kata kunci: Kelompok wanita tani; pangan; gizi. ABSTRACTIn Tasikmalaya Regency, 32 subdistricts and 159 villages had high stunting rates. In addition, Tasikmalaya Regency is still in a state of food insecurity. The purpose of this activity was to increase the knowledge of KWT Teratai members and their skills in processing taro into muffins, an innovative product made from local food ingredients. This activity was carried out in two stages, namely: 1) Socialization. This activity was held on July 17, 2025, at the KWT Teratai secretariat. During this activity, the objectives, benefits, and plans for the community service activity were presented. 2) Training. The training activity was carried out in two stages, namely, first, education for KWT Teratai members through counseling on the benefits and nutritional content of taro and how to process taro, which was held on August 7, 2025. Before receiving education, participants were asked to fill out a pre-test on their knowledge, then participants were asked to fill out a post-test. After the education session, there was an increase in the average knowledge score from the pre-test (54.453) to the post-test (91.087). The second stage was the practice of processing taro into muffins. After receiving training in the form of practical processing of taro into muffins, the members of KWT Teratai acquired the skills to process taro into muffins. The conclusion of the Teratai Women Farmers Group Empowerment program through socialization and training activities on processing taro into muffins has proven to have increased the knowledge of Teratai WFG members and their skills in processing taro into muffins. Keywords: Women farmers' groups; food; nutrition.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                        Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memberikan bimbingan kepada siswa yang memiliki kesulitan belajar di SDN 1 Danger dengan tujuan 1) meningkatkan keterampilan literasi numerasi, 2) Siswa peka terhadap lingkungan dan 3) mendorong siswa untuk berprestas. Masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh siswa slow learner adalah sulitnya mereka dalam memahami konsep angka, operasi matematika dasar, serta penggunaan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, strategi pembelajaran yang mengaitkan dengan lingkungan sekitar siswa dianggap relevan dan efektif. Metode yang diterapkan adalah bimbingan langsung melalui aktivitas belajar yang kontekstual yang difokuskan pada kegeografian dengan memanfaatkan media lingkungan, seperti peta desa, situasi alam, cuaca, serta kegiatan sehari-hari di sekolah dan rumah. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa yang sulit belajar khususnya kelas rendah yang berjumlah 10 siswa. Selain itu, melibatkan partisipasi guru kelas dan orang tua untuk memperkuat proses transfer pengetahuan. Hasil dari bimbingan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa, yang terlihat dari keberhasilan mereka dalam menyelesaikan soal penjumlahan, pengurangan, serta pemahaman dasar tentang ukuran, jarak, dan perbandingan. Selain itu, siswa juga menjadi lebih percaya diri, termotivasi, dan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan numerasi yang berfokus pada konteks geografi dapat menjadi solusi alternatif dalam mendukung perkembangan akademik siswa slow learner di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: slow learner; literasi numerasi; geografi ABSTRACTThis community service program was implemented to provide guidance to students with learning difficulties at SDN 1 Danger with the objectives of 1) improving numeracy literacy skills, 2) making students more sensitive to the environment, and 3) encouraging students to excel. The main problem faced by slow learners is their difficulty in understanding numerical concepts, basic mathematical operations, and the use of mathematics in everyday life. Therefore, learning strategies that relate to the students' surrounding environment are considered relevant and effective. The method applied is direct guidance through contextual learning activities focused on geography by utilizing environmental media, such as village maps, natural situations, weather, and daily activities at school and at home. This activity was attended by 10 students who had learning difficulties, particularly those in the lower grades. In addition, classroom teachers and parents were involved to strengthen the knowledge transfer process. The results of this guidance showed an increase in students' numeracy skills, as seen in their success in solving addition and subtraction problems and their basic understanding of size, distance, and comparison. In addition, students also became more confident, motivated, and active in participating in learning activities. Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Kutabima memiliki potensi besar pada komoditas pala, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas akibat minimnya teknologi pengolahan, kapasitas sumber daya manusia, serta akses pasar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan valuasi ekonomi produk atsiri pala sekaligus mendukung pengentasan kemiskinan dan mitigasi bencana longsor. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan produksi (manisan pala, sirup pala, dan minyak atsiri daun pala), workshop manajemen usaha dan pemasaran digital, serta reboisasi lahan kritis. Mitra kegiatan adalah Kelompok Tani Sri Cikawung Jaya dan BUMDes Bima Barokah Sejahtera dengan total peserta 30 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest–posttest, observasi keterampilan, dan monitoring usaha. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teknis peserta sebesar 80%, peningkatan kemampuan manajemen usaha sebesar 75%, serta terbentuknya tiga produk turunan pala dengan identitas branding dan legalitas usaha (NIB dan PIRT). Reboisasi menghasilkan penanaman 300 bibit pala dengan tingkat hidup 82%. Aktivitas pemasaran digital meningkat dengan kenaikan jangkauan hingga 320% dalam satu bulan. Program ini terbukti meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, memperluas peluang ekonomi lokal, dan memperkuat mitigasi bencana berbasis agroforestri. Kata kunci: pala; minyak atsiri; pemberdayaan masyarakat; UMKM; mitigasi bencana ABSTRACTKutabima Village has significant potential in nutmeg commodities; however, its utilization remains limited due to the lack of processing technology, limited human resource capacity, and restricted market access. This community service program aims to enhance the economic value of nutmeg essential oil products while supporting poverty alleviation and landslide disaster mitigation through skills improvement and institutional capacity strengthening. The implementation methods included socialization, training on the production of nutmeg preserves, nutmeg syrup, and nutmeg leaf essential oil, workshops on business management and digital marketing, as well as reforestation of critical land. The program partners were the Sri Cikawung Jaya Farmer Group and Bima Barokah Sejahtera Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), involving 30 participants. Evaluation was conducted through pretest–posttest, skills observation, and business monitoring. The results showed an 80% increase in participants’ technical understanding and a 75% improvement in business management skills. Additionally, three nutmeg-derived products were successfully developed, complete with branding identity and business legality (NIB and PIRT). Reforestation activities resulted in the planting of 300 nutmeg seedlings with an 82% survival rate. Digital marketing activity increased by 320% within one month. This program effectively improved production capacity, expanded local economic opportunities, and strengthened disaster mitigation efforts through an agroforestry-based approach. Keywords: nutmeg; essential oils; community empowerment; MSMEs; disaster mitigation.
