Journal of Community Empowerment is multidisciplinary scientific journal in the field of empowerment and community Service, published by the English Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram with a publication period of two times in one year, namely in June and December. This journal covers some general problems from the results of research implemented to the community services including (1) social humanities, science, applied science, economic, health, cultural, ICT Development, and administration services, (2) Training and improvement in the results of educational, agricultural, information and communication, and appropriate technology, (3) community empowerment, students community services, local food security, marketing, and less developed region. The purpose of this journal publication is to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of service to the community. This journal accepts manuscript in Bahasa or English.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Bahasa Inggris merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu diasah sejak dini, namun banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam berbicara dan kurang memiliki minat belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan minat belajar bahasa Inggris melalui pendampingan story telling berbantuan English cartoon story. Mitra sasaran adalah 34 siswa SMPN 17 Mataram, yang dipilih berdasarkan rekomendasi sekolah sebagai perwakilan siswa dengan kebutuhan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, dengan metode ceramah dipadukan diskusi interaktif serta praktik story telling secara individu dan kelompok. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa secara signifikan, nilai rata-rata pre-test 72.06 meningkat menjadi 77.94 pada post-test, dengan standar deviasi menurun dari 13.933 menjadi 13.034, dan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menghasilkan Z = -5.830, p = 0.000 < 0.05. Secara kualitatif, siswa menjadi lebih aktif, berani berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris, dan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi selama kegiatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa English cartoon story efektif sebagai media pendamping story telling, mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan minat belajar bahasa Inggris, serta dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di sekolah. Kata kunci: Story telling; English cartoon story; Kemampuan berbicara; Minat belajar. ABSTRACTEnglish is an important skill that needs to be honed from an early age, but many students have difficulty speaking and lack interest in learning. This community service activity aims to improve English speaking skills and interest in learning through storytelling assistance using English cartoon stories. The target partners are 34 students from SMPN 17 Mataram, who were selected based on school recommendations as representatives of students who need to improve their speaking skills. The activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, using a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and individual and group storytelling practice. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in student abilities, with the average pre-test score of 72.06 increasing to 77.94 on the post-test, with the standard deviation decreasing from 13.933 to 13.034, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielding Z = -5.830, p = 0.000 < 0.05. Qualitatively, students became more active, dared to speak in English, and showed high enthusiasm during the activities. These findings indicate that English cartoon stories are effective as a companion medium for storytelling, capable of improving speaking skills and interest in learning English, and can be applied continuously in schools. Keywords: Storytelling; English cartoon stories; Speaking skills; Interest in learning.

ABSTRAK                                                                            Edukasi literasi digital untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran penggunaan  teknologi yang bijak pada siswa SMPN 3 Keruak. bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan menumbuhkan kesadaran penggunaan teknologi yang bijak pada siswa SMPN 3 Keruak.  Mitra sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah seluruh siswa SMPN 3 Keruak dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 174 orang, terdiri dari 88 siswa laki-laki dan 86 siswa perempuan dengan rentang usia 11–15 tahun. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh tim PLP II KKN-Dik Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif yang dipadukan dengan diskusi serta evaluasi melalui wawancara terhadap lima siswa sampel. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa memahami manfaat gadget dalam mendukung pembelajaran dan komunikasi, sekaligus menyadari potensi bahaya seperti kecanduan, cyberbullying, dan judi online. Secara kualitatif, siswa mampu mengemukakan strategi pencegahan, antara lain membatasi waktu penggunaan, memblokir akun mencurigakan, dan melibatkan guru maupun orang tua. Secara kuantitatif, keterlibatan siswa mencapai 174 peserta dengan partisipasi aktif pada sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi literasi digital mampu meningkatkan kesadaran siswa untuk menggunakan teknologi secara lebih bijak, aman, dan bertanggung jawab.Kata kunci: Literasi Digital; Siswa SMP; Kesadaran Penggunaan Teknologi ABSTRACTThe development of digital technology has brought both positive impacts and serious challenges for teenagers, especially junior high school students. Issues such as gadget addiction, cyberbullying, social media abuse, non-verbal sexual harassment, and the rise of online gambling are issues that require special attention. Based on these conditions, this community service activity aims to improve digital literacy and foster awareness of wise technology use among students at SMPN 3 Keruak. The target partners in this activity are all students of SMPN 3 Keruak, with a total of 174 participants, consisting of 88 male students and 86 female students aged 11–15 years. The activity was carried out by the PLP II KKN-Dik team from Muhammadiyah University Mataram through three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The method used was interactive lectures combined with discussions and evaluation through interviews with five sample students. The results of the activity showed that students understood the benefits of gadgets in supporting learning and communication, while also realizing the potential dangers such as addiction, cyberbullying, and online gambling. Qualitatively, students were able to suggest prevention strategies, including limiting usage time, blocking suspicious accounts, and involving teachers and parents. Quantitatively, student involvement reached 174 participants with active participation in discussion and question-and-answer sessions. This activity proves that digital literacy education can increase students' awareness to use technology more wisely, safely, and responsibly.  Keywords: Digital Literacy; Junior High School Students; Community Service; Using of Technology

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) mengalami perkembangan yang pesat dalam beberapa tahun belakangan. Hal ini, menyebabkan masyarakat perlu sikap adaptif agar dapat survive di era digital khususnya kalangan gen Z karena maraknya kejahatan di dunia maya sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan pencegahan yang masif. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Dosen dan Mahasiswa dari Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Khairun di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Ternate yang berlokasi Kelurahan Gambesi, Kec. Ternate Selatan, Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara. Kordinasi awal yang dilakukan dengan mengunjungi Kepala Sekolah selaku mitra guna manyampaikan permohonan melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan Pelatihan Literasi Digital dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik dengan tujuan untuk mengedukasi  para siswa-siswi agar mengetahui perkembangan teknologi, etika penggunaan AI, pemanfaatan AI dalam pembelajaran dan keamanan digital. Selanjutnya kami juga melakukan evaluasi berupa feedback sebagai acuan terhadap tingkat pemahaman para siswa-siswi tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa memberikan dampak yang sangat positif kepada siswa-siswi dalam mengembangkan skill mereka terkait cara menggunakkan aplikasi-aplikasi berbasis AI yang berguna untuk keamanan digital. Selain itu, siswa- siswi mendapatkan kesempatan untuk memperaktikkan cara mendeteksi hoaks melalui konten-konten palsu baik secara teks, gambar, maupun video serta melindungi data-data pribadi mereka dengan menggunakan strong password pada akun-akun media sosial dan mengaktifkan two verification code agar tidak mudah diretas oleh oknum-oknum yang tidak bertanggung jawab.Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Literasi Digital, SMAN 3 Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara. ABSTRACTInformation and communication technology (ICT) has experienced rapid development in recent years. This has led to the need for an adaptive attitude in society to survive in the digital era, especially among Gen Z, due to the rise of cybercrime, necessitating massive preventive measures. Community service was carried out by Lecturers and Students from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Khairun University, at SMA Negeri 3 Ternate City, located in Gambesi Village, South Ternate District, Ternate City, North Maluku. Initial coordination was conducted by visiting the Principal as a partner to submit a request to carry out community service activities. Digital Literacy Training activities were carried out using lecture and practical methods with the aim of educating students to understand technological developments, the ethics of using AI, the utilization of AI in learning, and digital security. Furthermore, we also conducted evaluations in the form of feedback as a reference to the level of understanding of these students. The results of this community service activity are that lecturers and students have had a very positive impact on students in developing their skills related to how to use AI-based applications that are useful for digital security. In addition, students have the opportunity to practice how to detect hoaxes through fake content in the form of text, images, and videos, as well as protect their personal data by using strong passwords on social media accounts and activating two verification codes so that they are not easily hacked by irresponsible individuals.Keywords: Training, Digital Literacy, SMAN 3 Ternate City, North Maluku.

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Gangguan kesehatan mental pada ibu pascapersalinan merupakan masalah penting yang perlu dideteksi sejak dini, namun integrasinya dalam kurikulum kebidanan masih terbatas. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dosen kebidanan dalam mengintegrasikan skrining kesehatan mental ibu pascapersalinan ke dalam mata kuliah Asuhan Kebidanan Nifas dan Menyusui, sehingga mahasiswa mampu melakukan deteksi dini sesuai kompetensi bidan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi melalui presentasi, ceramah interaktif, dan sesi tanya jawab, serta workshop berbasis simulasi pasien dan kerja kelompok. Mitra kegiatan terdiri dari 10 dosen dan 1 laboran kebidanan yang diadakan pada bulan November tahun 2025. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi keterampilan praktik dan partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi, serta umpan balik akhir mengenai kesiapan mengajarkan skrining kepada mahasiswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan praktik peserta sebesar 85% dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep skrining sebesar 90%, diikuti kesiapan seluruh peserta untuk mengimplementasikan materi dalam pembelajaran. Pengabdian ini membuktikan efektivitas metode sosialisasi dan workshop dalam membekali dosen kebidanan dengan kompetensi skrining kesehatan mental ibu pascapersalinan secara sistematis.Kata kunci: Integrasi; Kesehatan Mental; Pascapersalinan; Skrining. ABSTRACTMental health disorders in postpartum mothers are a significant issue that needs early detection, but their integration into the midwifery curriculum is still limited. This service aims to improve the understanding and skills of midwifery lecturers in integrating postpartum maternal mental health screening into the Postpartum and Breastfeeding Midwifery Care course, so that students are able to perform early detection according to the competencies of midwives. The implementation methods include socialisation through presentations, interactive lectures, and question-and-answer sessions, as well as simulation-based patient workshops and group work. The activity partners consist of 10 lecturers and 1 midwifery laboratory technician, and the event will be held in November 2025. Evaluation was conducted thru observation of practical skills and active participation in discussions, as well as final feedback on the students' readiness to teach screening. The service results showed an 85% increase in participants' practical skills and a 90% increase in their understanding of screening concepts, followed by all participants' readiness to implement the material in their teaching. This service proves the effectiveness of socialization methods and workshops in equipping midwifery lecturers with the competence to systematically screen postpartum maternal mental health. Keywords: Integration; Mental Health; Postpartum; Screening.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis masyarakat merupakan salah satu solusi strategis dalam mengurangi permasalahan lingkungan sekaligus meningkatkan nilai tambah ekonomi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan pemanfaatan sampah organik menjadi pupuk kepada masyarakat Desa Bajur, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, dengan Yayasan Mujahidin Falah sebagai mitra kegiatan. Program ini melibatkan 27 orang peserta yang terdiri atas perwakilan warga dan pengelola lingkungan setempat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tiga tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Tahap persiapan dilakukan melalui identifikasi permasalahan, survei lapangan, dan koordinasi dengan pemerintah desa serta mitra. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, peserta memperoleh penyuluhan, workshop praktik pembuatan pupuk kompos padat dan cair, serta pendampingan kelompok untuk mengaplikasikan keterampilan pengolahan sampah organik secara mandiri. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pemantauan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik peserta dalam mengelola sampah organik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep pengelolaan sampah organik serta keterampilan praktis dalam mengolahnya menjadi pupuk. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan perilaku masyarakat dari membuang sampah secara langsung menjadi mengolahnya secara produktif. Program ini juga mendorong peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan dan membuka peluang ekonomi melalui pemanfaatan produk pupuk organik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini berpotensi menjadi model edukasi berkelanjutan dalam mendukung pembangunan desa yang ramah lingkungan dan mandiri secara ekonomi. Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Sampah Organik, Pupuk Organik, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Lombok Barat ABSTRACTCommunity-based organic waste management is one of the strategic solutions in reducing environmental problems while increasing economic added value. This community service activity aims to provide education and training on the use of organic waste as fertilizer to the community of Bajur Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency, with the Mujahidin Falah Foundation as a partner in the activity. This program involves 27 participants consisting of representatives of residents and local environmental managers. The implementation method consists of three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation and follow-up. The preparation stage involves problem identification, field surveys, and coordination with the village government and partners. During the implementation stage, participants received counseling, workshops on making solid and liquid compost, and group assistance to apply their skills in processing organic waste independently. Evaluation was carried out by monitoring improvements in participants' knowledge, attitudes, and practices in managing organic waste. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the concept of organic waste management and practical skills in processing it into fertilizer. In addition, there has been a change in people's behavior from directly disposing of waste to processing it productively. This program also encourages increased environmental awareness and opens up economic opportunities through the use of organic fertilizer products. ABSTRAK                                                                                     Kepemimpinan merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan. Namun, hasil observasi pada Himpunan Mahasiswa Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi (HIMASTI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram menunjukkan rendahnya pemahaman dasar kepemimpinan, kepercayaan diri dalam memimpin, serta efektivitas komunikasi anggota organisasi. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pelatihan dasar kepemimpinan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas mahasiswa dalam mengelola organisasi secara optimal. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari melalui metode partisipatif, meliputi penyampaian materi interaktif, diskusi kelompok, studi kasus, dan simulasi peran. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test serta refleksi akhir kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan kepemimpinan peserta, termasuk kemampuan mengambil keputusan, bekerja sama, berkomunikasi dalam konteks organisasi serta menghasilkan rekomendasi perbaikan tata kelola organisasi. Secara keseluruhan, program pelatihan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kapasitas kepemimpinan mahasiswa dan pembentukan karakter  organisasi yang lebih produktif. Pelatihan lanjutan disarankan agar pengembangan kepemimpinan dapat terus berkelanjutan.Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan; Organisasi Kemahasiswaan; Pelatihan Dasar; Soft Skills; HIMASTI.ABSTRACTLeadership is an essential capability that must be possessed by students as agents of change within student organizations. However, observations of the Student Association of Information Systems and Technology (HIMASTI) at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram indicate a low level of basic leadership understanding, limited self-confidence in leading, and ineffective communication among organization members. Therefore, a basic leadership training program was conducted to enhance students’ capacity to manage organizations more effectively.The training was carried out over two days using participatory methods, including interactive material delivery, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing simulations. The evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as final reflections at the end of the program. The results of the training demonstrate improvements in participants’ leadership knowledge, attitudes, and skills, including decision-making abilities, teamwork, and communication within an organizational context, as well as the generation of recommendations for improving organizational governance. Overall, this training program contributes to strengthening students’ leadership capacity and fostering a more productive organizational character. ABSTRAK                                                                                     Eksplorasi Herbisida Alami Berbasis Bahan Rumahan Di Desa Wolwal Kec. Alor Barat Daya NTT. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang manfaat bahan rumahan dalam pembuatan herbisida alami, memberikan pelatihan dan praktek kepada masyarakat tentang cara mengolah bahan rumahan dalam pembuatan herbisida alami, menambah perekonomian masyarakat melalui produk herbisida alami dari bahan rumahan.  Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, ini adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, keberlanjutan program, dan keterlibatan mitra. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah secara keseluruhan, kegiatan Sosialisasi dan pelatihan praktek pembuatan Herbisida alami berbasis bahan rumahan berjalan dengan sangat baik, banyak respon positif dari berbagai pihak, Kepala Desa Wolwal, Perangkat Desa, Mayarakat setempat dan ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Antusis peserta mengikuti pelatihan dan praktek dari awal hingga akhir. The purpose of this PKM activity is to educate the community about the benefits of household materials in making natural herbicides, provide training and practice to the community on how to process household materials in making natural herbicides, and boost the community's economy through natural herbicide products made from household materials.  In implementing this activity, a qualitative descriptive method was used. The methods used to achieve the objectives of community service activities were socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, program sustainability, and partner involvement. The overall result of this PKM activity is that the dissemination and practical training on the production of natural herbicides based on household ingredients went very well, with many positive responses from various parties, including the Head of Wolwal Village, village officials, the local community, and housewives. The participants enthusiastically followed the training and practice from start to finish. The community hopes that the PKM activities from the STKIP Muhammadiyah Kalabahi Campus will continue with new knowledge to help revive a creative, healthy, and prosperous economy. Keywords: Exploration; Herbicides; Household Materials.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan gizi kronis yang ditandai dengan tingginya angka stunting di Desa Minaesa, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, menjadi dasar pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini. Desa Minaesa memiliki potensi hasil laut yang tinggi, namun masyarakat masih sering mengonsumsi ikan “suak” dengan kualitas gizi rendah akibat penyimpanan yang tidak tepat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pencegahan stunting serta keterampilan mengolah ikan menjadi produk makanan bergizi melalui konsep zero waste dengan fortifikasi ekstrak jamur tiram, sekaligus membuka peluang usaha pangan lokal. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei dan observasi, rencana tindakan, sosialisasi pencegahan stunting kepada 30 orang masyarakat, pelatihan pembuatan dan pengemasan produk olahan ikan kepada 10 orang kader posyandu, serta pemberian alat penyimpanan, alat produksi, dan alat kesehatan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman terkait stunting dari 63% masyarakat belum memahami menjadi 98% telah memahami secara komprehensif. Selain itu, mitra mampu menghasilkan berbagai produk olahan ikan bergizi dan bernilai ekonomi seperti nugget, bakso, tahu bakso, dimsum, dan eggroll yang dimanfaatkan sebagai Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) bagi anak stunting serta berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai usaha rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini mendukung upaya awal terwujudnya “Desa Minaesa Zero Stunting”. Kata kunci: diversifikasi; ikan suak; jamur tiram; desa minaesa; zero stunting. ABSTRACTChronic malnutrition, characterized by high rates of stunting in Minaesa Village, North Minahasa Regency, is the basis for this Community Service (PKM) activity. Minaesa Village has high marine potential, but the community still often consumes “suak” fish, which is low in nutritional quality due to improper storage. This activity aims to increase community knowledge about stunting prevention and skills in processing fish into nutritious food products through a zero-waste concept with oyster mushroom extract fortification, while also opening up opportunities for local food businesses. The implementation methods included surveys and observations, action plans, socialization of stunting prevention to 30 community members, training in the production and packaging of processed fish products to 10 posyandu cadres, and the provision of storage equipment, production equipment, and medical equipment. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding of stunting from 63% of the community who did not understand to 98% who understood comprehensively. In addition, the partners were able to produce various nutritious and economically valuable processed fish products such as nuggets, meatballs, tofu meatballs, dim sum, and egg rolls, which were used as Supplementary Feeding (PMT) for stunted children and had the potential to be developed as a home business. Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan dan memperkuat nilai-nilai kebangsaan pada generasi muda melalui edukasi sejarah di MTs dan MA Darul Mujahidin NW Suwangi. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh melemahnya semangat nasionalisme di kalangan siswa akibat pengaruh globalisasi, perkembangan media digital, serta rendahnya pemahaman terhadap sejarah perjuangan bangsa. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan kegiatan, yaitu diskusi tematik, pemutaran film sejarah, permainan edukatif, dan kunjungan ke tempat bersejarah. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan menggunakan angket sikap nasionalisme, lembar observasi partisipasi siswa, refleksi tertulis, serta pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pemahaman sejarah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata pemahaman sejarah siswa dari 61,4 pada pre-test menjadi 82,7 pada post-test, dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 34,7%. Selain itu, hasil observasi menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi aktif siswa dari kategori sedang menjadi tinggi, serta penguatan sikap nasionalisme berdasarkan angket dan refleksi tertulis siswa. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kerja sama antara perguruan tinggi dan lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Edukasi sejarah terbukti efektif sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter generasi muda yang beridentitas nasional, religius, dan berwawasan sejarah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan di berbagai lembaga pendidikan untuk memperkuat karakter kebangsaan di tengah tantangan era digital. Kata kunci: Nilai kebangsaan, Edukasi sejarah, Generasi muda, Madrasah, Nasionalisme. ABSTRACTThis community service activity aims to instill and strengthen national values in the younger generation through historical education at MTs and MA Darul Mujahidin NW Suwangi. This program was motivated by the weakening spirit of nationalism among students due to the influence of globalization, the development of digital media, and a low understanding of the nation's history. The implementation method uses a participatory approach carried out through four stages of activities, namely thematic discussions, historical film screenings, educational games, and visits to historical sites. The evaluation of activities was carried out using a nationalism attitude questionnaire, student participation observation sheets, written reflections, as well as pre-tests and post-tests to measure historical understanding. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score of students' historical understanding from 61.4 on the pre-test to 82.7 on the post-test, with an increase of 34.7%. In addition, the observation results showed an increase in student active participation from moderate to high, as well as a strengthening of nationalism based on student questionnaires and written reflections. This activity also strengthened cooperation between universities and Islamic educational institutions in supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). History education has proven to be effective as a means of shaping the character of the younger generation with a national identity, religious values, and historical insight. Abstract

ABSTRAKKopi robusta merupakan komoditas unggulan Desa Wisata Sidomulyo, Kabupaten Jember, yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif hingga mampu menembus pasar ekspor. Potensi tersebut juga dikembangkan sebagai daya tarik agrowisata kopi. Namun, sumber daya manusia (SDM) desa wisata belum memiliki pemahaman yang memadai mengenai indikator kualitas kopi robusta, sehingga kurang optimal dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait karakteristik dan keunggulan kopi kepada wisatawan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas SDM Desa Wisata Sidomulyo dalam memahami mutu kopi robusta melalui pelatihan uji cita rasa (cupping) sesuai standar Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) yang meliputi lima tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi, penilaian awal, pelatihan, penilaian akhir, dan evaluasi. Mitra kegiatan adalah anggota BUMDES Sidomulyo yang berperan sebagai pengelola desa wisata sekaligus pelaku industri pengolahan kopi. Pelatihan diikuti oleh empat peserta yang dipilih berdasarkan tingkat keaktifan dalam pengembangan industri kopi desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi peserta secara signifikan, terutama pada peserta dengan nilai awal rendah yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 30%–39%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan deskriptif dan analitis peserta terhadap mutu kopi. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat produk agrowisata kopi dan meningkatkan daya saing kopi Sidomulyo di pasar nasional maupun internasional. Kata kunci: Uji Cita Rasa Kopi, Agrowisata, Desa Wisata, ABCD, Kualitas Kopi. ABSTRACTRobusta coffee is a leading commodity of Sidomulyo Tourism Village, Jember Regency, which possesses comparative advantages that have enabled it to penetrate export markets. This potential has also been developed as a coffee agrotourism attraction. However, the human resources managing the tourism village still lack adequate understanding of the quality indicators, limiting their ability to convey informative and engaging explanations to visitors regarding the characteristics and advantages of the local coffee. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of human resources in Sidomulyo Tourism Village in understanding Robusta coffee through cupping training based on Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) standards. The program was implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, consisting of five stages: socialization, initial assessment, training, final assessment, and evaluation. The program partners were members of BUMDES Sidomulyo who serve as tourism village managers and also act as actors in the local coffee processing industry. The training involved four participants selected based on their active involvement in the development of the village coffee industry. The results demonstrated a significant increase in participants’ competencies, particularly among those with low initial scores, who experienced improvements ranging from 30% to 39%. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the training materials and methods in strengthening participants’ descriptive and analytical skills related to coffee quality. Therefore, this program contributes to strengthening coffee agrotourism products and enhancing the competitiveness of Sidomulyo coffee in both national and international markets. Keywords: Cupping, Agritourism, Tourism Village, ABCD, Coffee Quality.
