Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for e-module development using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach on the human excretory system material for inclusive high school students. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing Biology teachers, administering a learning style identification questionnaire, and administering a questionnaire for analyzing the needs of teaching materials development. The research subjects consisted of biology teachers and inclusive students of grade XI. Based on observations and questionnaires at SMAN 1 Sungayang, it was found that inclusive students (regular students and students with special needs) face various obstacles in learning biology, especially for physically disabled students. These obstacles include limited adaptive teaching materials, the dominance of textbooks, and diverse learning styles that have not been facilitated. The results of the interviews showed that inclusive students need flexible teaching materials and support independent learning. Based on the learning style identification questionnaire, students have diverse learning styles. Most have visual learning styles (14%), auditory (9%), kinesthetic (2%), and combined (75%). The results of the needs analysis show that (87%) students experienced difficulties in learning Biology, including choosing material on the human excretory system, namely (31%). A total of 69% of students stated they had never used an e-module with a UDL approach. However, 100% of students agreed with the development of a UDL-based e-module. The analysis indicates that research is needed on the development of a Universal Design for Learning (UDL)-based e-module that can present material flexibly, visually, interactively, and inclusively.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, teenagers tend to spend more time on social media. The FOMO phenomenon is very susceptible to teenagers, because they are in the phase of searching for identity. At this stage, teenagers are highly influenced by their social environment and have a high need to be accepted by their group. This condition gives rise to the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) phenomenon, which is thought to affect self-esteem levels. This study aims to determine the effect of FOMO on self-esteem in teenagers at SMAN 1 Sreseh, Sampang. The method in this study is a comparative causal quantitative approach (Linear Regression). A total of 82 respondents were the objects of this study. Before measuring the effect, an assumption test was conducted that was fully met. The linearity test showed a significance value of 0,280, so the relationship between the variables is linear. The results of the regression test showed a positive and significant influence between FOMO and self-esteem, with a significance value of 0,000 (<0,05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0,353 indicates that FOMO contributed 35,3% to students' self-esteem. This study provides a new perspective that FOMO is not always negative, but can be a way for students to maintain their social presence in their social circle.

Abstract

Religious extracurricular activities in educational institutions are a strategic step in strengthening the religious character of students. Through these activities, students not only understand their obligations as Muslims, but are also able to practice religious teachings in their daily lives so that these religious values become ingrained in their personalities. Therefore, religious extracurricular activities play an important role as a means of forming, strengthening, and internalizing religious values in students. Based on this background, this study aims to reveal the implementation of religious extracurricular activities and the role of school members in supporting these activities as an effort to cultivate worship habits in order to strengthen the religious character of students at SMAN 1 Pamekasan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. Research data were obtained from primary and secondary sources through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that included the stages of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results showed that religious extracurricular activities were carried out through the habit of praying in congregation, religious lectures, social activities, and religious holidays. These activities aim to foster discipline, religious enthusiasm, responsibility, and shape the personality of a perfect human being. The role of the school community includes the principal, who instills habits of worship and positive behavior in a continuous manner, and teachers, who play an active role in understanding, instilling, and motivating students to have a strong religious character.

Abstract

The phenomena of globalization and modernity have had a significant impact on the development of science and education in the Muslim world, particularly through the dominance of a secular paradigm that separates rationality from spirituality. This situation has given rise to an epistemological crisis that has led to the fragmentation of knowledge and the emergence of intellectual and spiritual identity confusion. This study aims to examine the concepts of Islamization and the integration of science from the perspective of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, highlighting their theoretical and practical implications for Islamic education. The method used is qualitative with a literature study, through the stages of source identification, literature search, selection based on relevance criteria, recording and documentation, to data organization for further analysis. The analysis is carried out descriptively-analytically and critically-comparatively to find patterns of meaning that are in harmony with the Islamic worldview. The results of the study show that the Islamization of science is interpreted as an effort to liberate knowledge from the hegemony of Western secularism, while the integration of science emphasizes the importance of uniting religion, science, and ethics with tawhid as its main foundation. This concept affirms the position of adab as the core of education, while also offering alternatives in curriculum development, policy formulation, and strategies for empowering Muslims in facing the challenges of globalization. From a theoretical perspective, this research enriches the discourse on Islamic epistemology, while in practical terms it presents an applicable framework for education that is more contextual and oriented towards the formation of civilized human beings. Thus, these findings open up new opportunities in contemporary Islamic scientific studies, especially in formulating a holistic and transformative educational paradigm.

Abstract

This study examines fundamental concepts and implementation of library research methodology in educational contexts through systematic methodological review. Utilizing frameworks from Cooper, Hedges, and Valentine, the research analyzes theoretical foundations, systematic approaches, and practical applications of literature review methodology in education. Analysis reveals that library research has evolved from preliminary activity into sophisticated research methodology built upon constructivist epistemology and social constructivist frameworks. Key findings demonstrate three critical dimensions: robust theoretical foundations integrating multiple philosophical perspectives, systematic methodological frameworks ensuring comprehensiveness and rigor, and practical implementation strategies addressing complex educational research questions. The study identifies essential components including systematic search strategies, quality assessment procedures, technology integration, and collaborative approaches. Results indicate that effective implementation requires careful planning, strategic decision-making, and quality assurance procedures. This methodology enables educational researchers to bridge theory-practice gaps, inform evidence-based decision making, and advance educational knowledge systematically

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the loss of interest in the Indonesian language, resulting in a lack of understanding of standard words and their equivalents. The purpose of this study is to investigate the understanding of standard words and their equivalents in the Indonesian language. The method used is a qualitative approach through a descriptive research design, focusing on understanding the context and characteristics of the data. The data collection instrument is a Google Form questionnaire. The research sample consisted of 44 active students who had graduated from Indonesian language courses. The results showed that most students had an understanding of standard words. However, with a difference of 9.89%, students really needed to improve their understanding. Meanwhile, most students had an understanding of equivalent words. However, with a 36.3% difference, students needed to improve their understanding. These findings highlight the importance of language training and development for students to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning and foster a positive attitude towards the language of science, a unifying tool, and national identity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the innovative management model of the BBQ Program (Line Up, Pray, and Quiz) in developing a child-friendly Islamic-based school culture at MIN 3 Jombang. The program was initiated to enhance students’ discipline, responsibility, and learning motivation through enjoyable habituation activities. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques involving teachers and students. The results indicate that the implementation of the BBQ Program effectively improved discipline, responsibility, queuing habits, self-confidence, and learning motivation. The BBQ Program is a managerial innovation that strengthens students’ religious values, nationalism, and independence. This finding highlights that innovative management based on Islamic values can successfully foster a child-friendly, religious, and character- oriented madrasah culture

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan modern yang ditopang oleh paradigma sekuler dan klaim netralitas nilai telah melahirkan kegelisahan epistemik di kalangan intelektual Muslim, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan Islam yang menghadapi dikotomi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum. Kondisi ini berdampak pada melemahnya orientasi nilai, adab, dan tujuan transendental ilmu, sehingga menuntut adanya rekonstruksi filosofis yang lebih mendasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara sistematis gagasan Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan perspektif Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas sebagai upaya menawarkan paradigma alternatif bagi pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan Islam di era modern. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis studi pustaka (library research). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui identifikasi sumber data primer dan sekunder, penelusuran literatur yang relevan, seleksi data berdasarkan kriteria akademik dan tematik, pencatatan serta dokumentasi gagasan kunci, dan pengorganisasian data secara tematik. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pembacaan kritis, kategorisasi konsep, dan penafsiran reflektif untuk menangkap relasi makna antar gagasan dalam kerangka epistemologi Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islamisasi ilmu menurut al-Attas berpusat pada kritik terhadap worldview Barat sekuler, peneguhan konsep adab, dan penataan kembali hierarki ilmu berbasis tauhid. Ilmu dipahami bukan sekadar akumulasi informasi, melainkan proses internalisasi makna yang benar dalam diri manusia. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penguatan teori epistemologi Islam dengan menegaskan Islamisasi ilmu sebagai proyek rekonstruksi epistemologis yang utuh, sekaligus memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan kurikulum, kebijakan pendidikan Islam, dan pembentukan insan beradab. Kajian ini juga membuka ruang eksplorasi lanjutan terkait penerapan paradigma Islamisasi ilmu dalam konteks kelembagaan dan praksis pendidikan kontemporer.

Abstract

long with the development of technology, teachers are required to be able to adapt to the use of technology to improve the quality of education. There are many platforms that can be used as media in the learning process, one of which is easy to use is wordwall. Wordwall platforms can be an option to deliver interactive material. There are a lot of designs that can be chosen and even teachers can also design teaching materials themselves according to their desires. Even teachers can develop audio-visual-based teaching materials using the Canva application. This research is a research and development that aims to produce products in the form of technology-based PAI learning media. The results of this study show the effectiveness of using technology-based PAI learning media using Canva.

Abstract

The climate crisis presents an existential challenge to food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector. Conventional agriculture is often part of the problem, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation. In response, the transformation to community-based organic farming has emerged as a vital, adaptive, low-emission solution. However, this transition is complex and requires approaches that are not only technical, but also social and participatory. This article examines the central role of Society Action Research (SAR) as a methodological pillar in facilitating this transformation. SAR is positioned as a participatory approach that empowers farming communities as active subjects—not objects—in the change process. Through a dialogic cycle encompassing problem identification, planning, action, and collective reflection, SAR enables farmers to collaboratively develop locally relevant, innovative solutions for organic farming. This process simultaneously builds adaptive capacity, strengthens social cohesion, and enhances community self-reliance. This study argues that SAR is a crucial instrument for ensuring that the transformation to organic farming is not only technically successful but also socially grounded, equitable, and sustainable, thus building effective community resilience in the face of the climate crisis
