Abstract

Digital transformation in education demands the integrated development of teachers' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), which is influenced by both individual and organizational factors. This study aims to examine the influence of teachers' digital competence and principals' instructional leadership on TPACK development. This study employed a quantitative correlational design involving 77 public junior high school teachers in Pariaman City, selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS and AMOS. The results showed that teachers' digital competence and principals' instructional leadership significantly predicted TPACK. Digital competence proved to be a stronger predictor (β = 0.467) than instructional leadership (β = 0.259), with both variables together contributing significantly to the variance in TPACK (p < 0.001). These findings emphasize the importance of integrating strengthening teachers' digital competence with effective instructional leadership to support meaningful and sustainable technology integration in learning.

Abstract

This study examines whether mutual assistance behavior influences teacher work responsibility directly and indirectly through collaborative communication as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from 482 public high school teachers in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, selected via proportional stratified random sampling. Instruments were validated through expert review (content validity) and pilot testing (AVE > 0.50; Composite Reliability > 0.70). Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Results indicate that mutual assistance significantly and positively affects collaborative communication (β = 0.719, T = 22.884, p < 0.001) and work responsibility (β = 0.434, T = 12.124, p < 0.001), and that collaborative communication significantly predicts work responsibility (β = 0.603, T = 18.536, p < 0.001), confirming a mediation pathway. These findings indicate that teacher responsibility is shaped not only by individual attributes but also by the quality of collaborative social interactions. School management strategies that systematically cultivate mutual assistance and strengthen communication-based collaboration are recommended to build sustainable professional responsibility.

Abstract

Teachers working with students with disabilities play a critical role in maintaining safe learning environments, yet structured training in school-based injury prevention remains limited in Indonesia. This study evaluated a school-based training intervention designed to enhance special educators’ injury prevention knowledge. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was employed involving 156 special education teachers in West Sumatra, Indonesia (intervention n = 78; control n = 78). Participants completed a self-report questionnaire assessing injury prevention knowledge, attitudes, and perceived skills before and after the intervention. The intervention consisted of structured workshops, guided practice, and follow-up mentoring delivered over 12 weeks. Paired-samples t-tests indicated a significant increase in injury prevention knowledge scores in the intervention group compared to baseline (p < .001), while no significant change was observed in the control group. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), controlling for pretest scores, showed a significant group effect at post-test (p < .001), indicating higher adjusted post-test scores among teachers who received the training. Improvements were also observed in self-reported attitudes and perceived skills. These findings suggest that structured training interventions may enhance special educators’ self-reported injury prevention knowledge in the Indonesian context. The study contributes to the growing literature on professional development in special education and highlights the need for systematic safety-focused training for teachers working with students with disabilities.

Abstract

Abstract

Waqf is an important instrument in Islamic social finance with significant potential to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. However, the contribution of waqf to sustainable development largely depends on the quality of governance and the effective utilization of waqf assets. This study aims to examine the influence of waqf governance and waqf utilization on the achievement of the SDGs in Indonesia, as well as to analyze their mediating role in the relationship between waqf resources and sustainable development outcomes. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from waqf management institutions and relevant stakeholders in Indonesia. The results indicate that waqf governance has a positive effect on SDG achievement (β = 0.2644), while waqf utilization shows a stronger positive influence (β = 0.4958). Furthermore, waqf resources positively affect both governance and utilization. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening governance practices and optimizing the utilization of waqf assets to enhance the contribution of Islamic social finance to sustainable development.

Abstract

Children with dyslexia face not only reading difficulties but also challenges in emotional regulation, which are often underaddressed in digital learning interventions. This study aims to develop and evaluate the GESYA application, a digital tool designed to support emotional regulation in children with dyslexia. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study adopts the ADDIE model due to its systematic and iterative structure, which supports the design and refinement of educational digital media. The participants consisted of eight elementary school children with dyslexia from three learning and therapy centers in Sidoarjo and Surabaya. Data were collected through expert validation, practicality questionnaires, and a one-group pretest-posttest design using an adapted emotional regulation scale. The results indicate that the GESYA application achieved high validity (95% and 99.2%) and practicality (88%). A statistically significant improvement in emotional regulation was observed (p < 0.05). However, the magnitude of change was relatively modest, as reflected in the N-Gain score. These findings provide preliminary evidence of effectiveness, while the small sample size and study design limit broader generalization. Practically, the application supported children in recognizing and managing emotions through interactive and structured activities, indicating its potential as a supplementary tool in inclusive educational settings. In conclusion, while preliminary results demonstrate the feasibility and potential effectiveness of GESYA, further studies with larger samples are required to confirm its impact.

Abstract

Students of Guidance and Counseling programs are subjected to academic and emotional pressures simultaneously and therefore need proper coping strategies. The study was done to create and validate the first psychometric properties of the Coping Strategies Scale for Guidance and Counseling University Students (COSY) in Indonesia. The scale is grounded on the coping models of Lazarus and Folkman and Endler and Parker, thus it includes problem-focused, emotion-focused, and avoidance-oriented coping. According to a methodological literature of instrument development by DeVellis, the authors generated items, consulted experts, and did item analysis within the Classical Test Theory (CTT) framework. The data were collected from a sample of students of Guidance and Counseling who are from 30 provinces in Indonesia and whose total number is 1, 871. The results revealed that twenty-four items fulfilled the criteria for item validity based on the fact that item-total correlations varied from.203 to.590 (p <.001), and the scale had good internal consistency (Cronbach's α =.82). Thus, it can be concluded that the COSY provides the initial adequate level of reliability and validity at the item level to measure the coping strategies of Guidance and Counseling students in Indonesia.
