Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of school origin background on the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) cluster pattern of students admitted through the National Selection Based on Academic Achievement (SNBP) at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ). The main problem in this study is the lack of clarity regarding the effect of school origin on student academic achievement. This study applies the total population sampling technique with all PNJ students class of 2023 totaling 2.527 for the formation of the GPA cluster, while the subgroup with student data accepted through the SNBP in 2023 has complete school origin data totaling 888 students. Student GPA data is clustered using the K-Means algorithm into four groups, namely very high, high, sufficient, and low GPA. Evaluation of cluster quality was conducted using Silhouette Coefficient and Davies-Bouldin index, while analysis of the relationship between school origin and GPA was tested through Chi-Square and One-Way ANOVA tests. The results showed that the K-Means algorithm was able to produce good quality GPA clusters (Silhouette Coefficient 0.55). One-Way ANOVA showed that the average GPA differed significantly but with little impact, both according to school type (SMA, SMK, MA) and school management status (public and private). Chi-Square tests confirmed school type was not associated with GPA clustering (p = 0.107), while public school origin showed slightly higher GPAs than private schools. The findings recommend that school origin should be used as a supporting factor in the SNBP selection policy, but not as the main criterion.

Abstract

Collaboration is a crucial competency in vocational education that emphasizes practical work and job readiness. This study addresses the limited research on the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on students’ collaborative skills in business text translation. The study aims to explore students’ perceptions of PjBL implementation, analyze its influence on their collaboration, and identify implementation challenges. A qualitative case study approach was used, involving 28 students from the English for Business and Professional Communication Program at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. These students took part in two integrated courses: Business Text Translation and Introduction to Translation Tools. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed descriptively and thematically. The findings reveal that PjBL encourages active participation, fair task distribution, independent conflict resolution, and shared responsibility in translation projects. Student collaboration developed naturally through authentic teamwork resembling real-world translation practices. PjBL is perceived as effective in enhancing interpersonal skills and preparing vocational students for the professional workplace.

Abstract

This study aims to assess risk management in the implementation of Network Attached Storage (NAS) at PT Sigma Energy Compressindo Tbk using a risk assessment approach. As a centralized data storage solution, NAS supports operational efficiency but also presents several potential threats, including cyberattacks, hardware failures, and unauthorized access. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate significant risks, particularly related to system hacking and data integrity. Risk mapping using likelihood and impact scales is utilized to determine priority mitigation strategies, which include enhancing security systems, improving staff capacity, and establishing comprehensive backup procedures. These strategies help ensure operational continuity and protect company data assets.

Abstract

This study discusses the risk identification analysis that occurs in the warehouse unit of Yamaha Mustika Group, an official Yamaha motorcycle dealer located in East Jakarta, which plays a crucial role in the distribution of spare parts. The objective of this research is to identify risks, classify them, assess their priority levels, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. The research was conducted through observation, interviews, and analysis of warehouse operational data. The analysis results indicate four main categories of risk: technological and system risk, operational risk, product quality risk, and security risk. Technological and system risk ranks highest in priority because the entire operational process is still conducted manually without support from digital systems such as a Warehouse Management System (WMS), leading to data inaccuracies and delays in distribution. Using a risk matrix method (likelihood × impact), risk assessment was carried out systematically to determine handling priorities. The proposed mitigation strategies include the digitalization of operational systems, enhanced security monitoring, implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP), and employee training. This study highlights the importance of implementing risk management in warehouse systems to ensure operational continuity and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and develop a sales forecasting model for sugar products at PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) by applying the time series method to support the company’s strategic decision-making. A quantitative research approach with a descriptive design is utilized, in which secondary data are collected from monthly sales records of sugar products spanning from 2022 to 2024. The analysis begins with the identification of historical patterns through the visualization of time series graphs and autocorrelation testing (ACF) using Minitab software to reveal the underlying trend and seasonal components within the sales data. Three forecasting methods are implemented—Three Moving Average, Double Exponential Smoothing, and Multiplicative Decomposition—and their performance is evaluated using error metrics such as Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The evaluation results indicate that the Multiplicative Decomposition method provides the best performance, with a MAPE of 44.62%, MAD of 7,327.83, and MSE of 96,813,267.86. Subsequently, the forecasting model is developed as a Microsoft Excel template programmed using VBA to automate sales projections for the next two years. This model is expected to enhance production planning, inventory management, and marketing strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the dominant waste and its root causes at PT XYZ. The study uses a Lean Distribution approach by combining quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze and provide improvement recommendations in the distribution/shipping process at PT XYZ. To identify the waste occurring in the goods shipping process, the researcher used tools such as current state mapping, value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), fishbone diagram, and finally future state mapping. The results of this study indicate the existence of a dominant waste, namely waiting in the administrative preparation process of shipping and the preparation process of the fleet, as well as waste transportation in the goods shipping process. The root cause of this waiting waste is the slow delegation of backup approvers, lack of supervision from top management on busy approvers' work conditions or Or there is a meeting, there is no KPI for the approval time of delivery orders and a lack of routine system maintenance, the driver is currently making deliveries or transporting other passengers, limitations in the number of internal fleets, and maintenance of the fleet. Transportation waste in activities includes the addition of delivery routes caused by users requesting urgent deliveries, there are no regulations to limit goods after the loading process, and the limited fleet. Recommendations for improvement can reduce the processing time from 34,513 seconds to 25,146 seconds.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors influencing brand switching behavior among Pizza Hut consumers in the Jabodetabek area amid the Israel-Palestine conflict by applying the Push-Pull-Mooring framework. The boycott movement against brands associated with Israel, including Pizza Hut, has caused notable shifts in Indonesian consumer behavior. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews of consumers who have switched brands, this research explores the underlying motivations. Findings reveal that the primary push factors are moral discomfort related to socio-political issues and social pressure supporting the boycott. The pull factors attracting consumers to alternative brands include competitive pricing, innovative flavors, appealing promotions, and a desire to support local MSMEs. Meanwhile, mooring factors such as emotional loyalty to Pizza Hut and habitual consumption act as barriers to switching, but these can be overcome through strong personal values and social solidarity. The results highlight that brand switching is influenced not only by product quality or price but also significantly by social issues, moral considerations, and social environment dynamics. This study’s implications offer valuable insights for companies to develop marketing strategies that are sensitive to social issues and provide a foundation for future research on consumer behavior and brand switching in the global information era.

Abstract

Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai (DJBC) holds a strategic role that extends beyond its traditional functions of supervision and state revenue collection. It also plays a crucial part in facilitating trade and the cross-border movement of goods—an essential factor in the successful organization of international-scale events. Within the context of the Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) industry, the success of an event heavily depends on the smooth flow of logistics, particularly the temporary importation of goods required for exhibitions, conferences, and other supporting activities. This article explores DJBC’s contribution to supporting the MICE ecosystem in Indonesia through direct observation and interviews with DJBC officials at the Rawamangun Office. Findings indicate that DJBC provides a range of customs facilities, such as import duty exemptions, temporary importation schemes, the use of ATA Carnet documents, and digital services via integrated systems like CEISA and INSW. In addition, DJBC demonstrates a strong commitment to educating and assisting service users while responding promptly and professionally, reflecting bureaucratic reform and improved public service efficiency. These procedures are guided by regulations such as PMK No. 106/2019 and PER-02/BC/2018, which offer legal certainty and flexibility for industry stakeholders. The findings of this study affirm that DJBC plays a highly significant role as an active partner in enhancing the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s MICE industry. Its presence as a facilitator of cross-border goods movement proves that DJBC functions not only as a regulatory authority but also as a strategic driver in attracting investment and positioning Indonesia as a prominent destination for international events

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of implementing SNI ISO 20121:2012 (Event Sustainability Management System/ESMS) at PT Forestcitra Sejahtera using a gap analysis approach. Based on the recapitulation results, the overall level of readiness for ESMS implementation is in the category of "really needs system improvement" with a suitability value of 49%. The clause with the highest value is in clause 4 organizational context (64%), which indicates that understanding of the internal and external environment is quite good. However, the largest gap is in clause 6 planning (20%), which reflects the absence of a formal sustainability work plan document, performance indicators, and identification of risks and opportunities. The contributing factors include limited human resources, the absence of a written commitment from the leadership, and the absence of an organizational culture that supports sustainability. These results indicate that PT Forestcitra Sejahtera only has part of the basis for implementing a sustainability system, but it has not been well documented, is not consistent, and is not comprehensive in all main clauses. Therefore, strategic and systematic improvement steps are needed to achieve complete and sustainable certification.
