Abstract

This research aims to explore variations in student learning outcomes in Citizen Science Project (CSP) based biodiversity learning. The research method uses qualitative with a phenomenological approach to detail students' holistic experiences and understand the essence of the products produced. This research design was carried out by combining interviews, observation and analysis of student products as the main data sources. The research was carried out in one of the schools in Bandung City. The research results showed that students produced a variety of products, including herbariums, posters, posts on the PlantNet application, and inventory books. The overall product reflects a deep understanding of biodiversity and the use of a variety of skills, such as classification, identification and communication. CSP-based learning design makes a major contribution to the variety of learning outcomes because students are not only involved in collecting scientific data but are also able to express their findings through different media. This research provides new insights regarding the potential and effectiveness of CSP-based biodiversity learning in stimulating creativity and variations in students' learning outcomes. The findings of this research can be the basis for developing more innovative learning methods oriented towards developing students' skills in the context of sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

Abstract

This article is an attempt to describe RSBI program’s reflection from the former students’ perceptions. The article employed case study research design to explore students’ perceptions with particular emphasis on the use of bilingualism in the classroom. The data were gathered from interview toward 17 former students of RSBI program. The obtained data were analyzed qualitatively and inductively. Results presented RSBI program were perceived diversely from the reason, experience, and expectation viewpoints. Implications portrayed evaluation material in planning future programs that intensify the implementation of international-standards in general, or the use of two languages in the classroom in particular.

Abstract

Quantitative descriptive research with literature credibility and data source substitution was conducted on the independent variable of science literacy in the IPA learning process in elementary schools in its influence on overcoming student misconceptions as the dependent variable. The study aimed to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables, the significance of the relationship between the research variables, and to determine whether or not there was an influence of the variables. The population of elementary school science teachers with third, fourth, and fifth-grade students as respondents in questionnaires, interviews, and observation participants resulted in a significant negative correlation between the variables and a determination coefficient of variable X on variable Y.

Abstract

This paper aims to give insight and recommend teachers to implement Virtual Reality in language learning, especially in EFL classrooms such as in Indonesia. In the digital era, the use of technology by young people cannot be separated from daily life. Therefore, teachers can use and create the course materials by implementing virtual reality in building language acquisition instead of using traditional methods and textbooks. Using interesting learning sources can enhance students’ motivation to learn. The use of Virtual Reality will give new experiences and environments for the students to learn a new language especially English.

Abstract

Peran pembelajaran sejarah dalam mengurangi krisis empati adalah dengan membumikan empati sejarah. Namun, pengajaran dan penelitian tentang empati sejarah belum terlalu masif karena di Indonesia konsep empati sejarah relatif baru dan belum banyak data empiris yang diadopsi oleh para akademisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan konsep dan pengajaran empati sejarah dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode kajian literatur Arksey & O'Malley (2005), yaitu: pertama, mengidentifikasi pernyataan masalah; kedua, mengidentifikasi penelitian yang relevan; ketiga, menyeleksi penelitian; keempat, memetakan data; dan kelima, menyusun, meringkas, dan melaporkan hasil. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi definisi empati sejarah dari berbagai ahli yang disajikan dengan garis kontinum, dan pedagogi empati sejarah yang meliputi: model pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan; materi atau tema pembelajaran yang cocok; kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran; serta level ketercapaian empati sejarah bagi peserta didik. Implikasi studi ini sebagai opsi literatur bagi peneliti selanjutnya dan sebagai bahan referensi bagi guru sejarah dalam mendesain pembelajaran yang ingin mengembangkan keterampilan empati sejarah agar menguatkan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila bagi peserta didik yang toleran, peduli, demokratis, dan berpikir terbuka.

Abstract

The art of Islamic calligraphy has great potential in integrating Islamic values in learning, but has not been fully utilized optimally in formal education. Phenomena in the field show that most students have an interest in the art of calligraphy, but have not fully understood the relationship between the practice of calligraphy with Islamic values contained in it. This study aims to analyze the process of integration of Islamic learning values through calligraphy art media and identify Islamic learning values that are integrated through calligraphy art learning at MTS Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 18 students from Grades 7 to 9. The results showed that the process of integration of Islamic learning values through the art of calligraphy at MTs Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya succeeded in developing students ' visual-spatial and spiritual intelligence, as well as strengthening their understanding of Islamic values. The process of integration of Islamic values through calligraphy learning has been successfully implemented through a variety of comprehensive learning approaches, where the values that are successfully integrated include the value of beauty (aesthetics), patience, discipline, skill development, and spiritual values that are interconnected in shaping the character of students. Abstrak: Seni kaligrafi Islam memiliki potensi besar dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran, namun belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan secara optimal dalam pendidikan formal. Fenomena di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki ketertarikan terhadap seni kaligrafi, tetapi belum seutuhnya memahami hubungan antara praktik kaligrafi dengan nilai-nilai Islam yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses integrasi nilai-nilai pembelajaran Islam melalui media seni kaligrafi dan mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai pembelajaran Islam yang diintegrasikan melalui pembelajaran seni kaligrafi di MTS Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan 18 siswa dari kelas 7 hingga 9. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses integrasi nilai-nilai pembelajaran Islam melalui seni kaligrafi di MTs Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya berhasil mengembangkan kecerdasan visual-spasial dan spiritual siswa, serta memperkuat pemahaman mereka terhadap nilai-nilai Islam. Proses integrasi nilai-nilai Islam melalui pembelajaran kaligrafi telah berhasil dilaksanakan melalui berbagai pendekatan pembelajaran yang komprehensif, dimana nilai-nilai yang berhasil diintegrasikan mencakup nilai keindahan (estetika), kesabaran, kedisiplinan, pengembangan keterampilan, dan nilai spiritual yang saling terhubung dalam membentuk karakter siswa.

Abstract

According to Miles and Huberman, this research uses a descriptive qualitative method with three steps of data analysis: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between students' learning styles and how they solve geometry math problems. Initial observations in class IV SDN Pulorejo III showed that students' literacy skills were low, especially in understanding story problems, obstacles in solving geometry problems such as memorizing formulas, and ignorance of students' learning styles. The results revealed that 54% of students have a visual learning style, 18% auditory, and 28% kinesthetic. Different learning styles affect how students acquire and process information and their problem-solving strategies. Therefore, a varied learning approach must accommodate all students' learning styles. This research emphasizes the importance of applying learning methods that suit students' learning styles to improve their understanding of mathematics concepts and critical thinking skills. Thus, each student can learn more effectively according to how they understand information.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate worksheets that promote higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in teaching perimeter and area to primary school students. The worksheets were highly valid, with a score of 94.63%, and were shown to be well aligned with learning objectives through extensive validity and reliability testing. They contain various question types, including multiple-choice, short-answer and essay questions, which encourage students to think critically and creatively. While many students improved their analytical skills, 39% needed to meet the minimum competency standard (KKM). This underscores the necessity for supplementary strategies to support all learners and enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract : Accera pare is a harvest party of the Parigi Village community which is held as a form of gratitude of the farmers for the gifts given by God for being given a smooth harvest. The purpose of this research is to explore the meaning of the accera pare ceremony for the people of Parigi Village and the integration of accera pare in building students' sense of solidarity. The research method used descriptive qualitative with ethnographic approach where the data were analyzed by domain analysis, taxonomy, components and cultural themes. Data sources were obtained through participant observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the meaning of the accera pare ceremony for the people of Parigi Village is as a form of respect for ancestors including forms of communication, protection and guardians of nature, as a thanksgiving including prayer, thanksgiving, as a cultural heritage which includes heirlooms, traditional performances and traditional clothes and as a form of human relationship with humans which is realized through deliberation and socialization between communities. The integration of accera pare in building students' solidarity is reflected in kinship, gratitude, mutual cooperation, togetherness and the spirit of sharing. Abstrak : Accera pare merupakan pesta panen masyarakat Desa Parigi yang dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk syukur para petani atas karunia yang diberikan oleh Tuhan karena diberi kelancaran panen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggali makna upacara accera pare bagi masyarakat Desa Parigi dan integrasi accera pare dalam mebangun rasa solidaritas peserta didik. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi dimana data dianalisis dengan analisis domain, taksonomi, komponen dan tema budaya. Sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna upacara accera pare bagi masyarakat Desa Parigi adalah sebagai wujud penghormatan kepada leluhur meliputi bentuk komunikasi, perlindungan dan penjaga alam, sebagai ucapan syukur meliputi berdoa, ucapan terima kasih, sebagai warisan budaya yang meliputi peninggalan pusaka, pertunjukkan tradisional dan baju adat dan sebagai bentuk hubungan manusia dengan manusia yang terwujud melalui musyawarah dan sosialisasi antar masyarakat. Integrasi accera pare dalam membangun solidaritas peserta didik tercermin dalam kekeluargaan, rasa syukur, gotong royong, kebersamaan dan semangat berbagi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spatial ability of students using GeoGebra in solving students' spatial ability problems in the spatial geometry course. The research method used uses a descriptive qualitative method. The instrument used is a spatial ability test of spatial geometry which is arranged based on spatial ability indicators, namely visualization, spatial perception, mental rotation, spatial relation, and spatial orientation. The research subjects used were all students of the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) semester 3 classes A and B of the State Islamic University of Cyber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UIN SSC) totaling 49 students. The results of this study show that the spatial ability of students using GeoGebra in the spatial geometry course is very good with an overall score of 86.5 and a score per indicator, in the visualization indicator of 100, spatial perception of 92.65, mental rotation of 94.28, spatial relation of 53.06, and spatial orientation of 92.65.
